Silver's smile relaxed a little.
"Hey. I'm Silver," said the Hufflepuff Chaser shyly. She had suddenly realised what the little silver 'HG' on the girl's robes meant - she was the Head Girl. She had played Quidditch against the Head Girl. "And we didn't really deserve it - I honestly think our teams were as good as each other. Even I could tell it was just... luck."

Squee nodded "Yeah you guys played wonderfully." At the mention of yelling at the others she exclaimed at Hikalyn "Ooh can I help?"
She grinned at Silver and flashed a peace sign "I'm Squee!"

Hikalyn shot Squee a grin, then shook her head. "Doesn't make you deserve it less. You still played really well, even if it was luck in the end that own it." She smiled. "Glad to meet you, Silver."
OOC: Sorry, I can't seem to come up with anything intelligent to say. v.v

Kage watched from the shadows of the large stands, arms folded across his chest, chin resting lightly against his arms. He had let his team down, he hadnt been there.
OOC: A truth, too, because I had to go to work.

Artemis slowly descended to the ground. They'd lost. She felt like she was moving in slow motion as her feet touched the ground and her weight again rested on the grass of the pitch. It felt unusual to be standing on solid ground after being in the air so long, but she couldn't care less. They'd lost. It was all she could do to keep herself standing, her muscles felt like they were made of pudding. Then, reality came back with a jolt. The thought fully registered; they had lost. A flood of anger ran through her veins, not at the other team, but at herself. It had been her fault they had lost, hadn't it? She took a few deep breaths and gathered her will power. She flashed a quick smile at the Hufflepuffs. "Good game you guys, you played very well." Artemis slung her broomstick over her shoulder and started off to Hogsmeade.

Wyl flew down to Silver and toppled off his broom, the Snitch still beating a pattern in his fist. He grinned at Hikalyn, nodding at her to congratulate her on a game well played.
"You played excellently," Wyl stuck out the hand that was free of Snitch. "I congratulate you and the Slytherin team on a job well played. It was as close as anything, it could have swung either way,"

"Thanks." Hikalyn managed a weak smile. Weak, but not insincere. Losing never sat well with her, but it didn't hurt so much to say that a team had played well when they had. She accepted the hand that Wyl extended, shook it. "Well caught."
Abruptly she realized that she was still seated on her Firebolt, hovering patiently far enough the ground that her feet just brushed the dewy grass. Feeling numb, she slid off it, hardly even noticing the feel of solid ground beneath her feet for the first time in a good two hours. Her fingers closed around the smooth wooden handle, and she took some comfort in its familiar warmth resting in her hand. It was a reminder that there were still two games in the season, still plenty of chance to pull ahead.
Now the emotional high, the adrenalin rush that came with every Quidditch game and even the simple feel of freedom and flying, had worn off. In its place, it left the sting of loss, the "I should have"s and the self-recriminations that were tiring in their own right. Never mind the physical exhaustion. However easy it might look from the ground, Quidditch was as good a workout as any she'd ever gotten, and constantly switching from Chaser to Seeker as she'd had to during this game hadn't made it any easier. It was suddenly an effort to stand upright without swaying, but she locked her knees and straightened her posture, made carefully sure that the effort of doing so didn't show on her face.
Her next words included all of the players, both Huffle and Slyth, who stood gathered around the triumphant, yellow-clad Seeker. "I really enjoyed the game. Well played, guys." She meant it, she truly did.
She wanted nothing more than to crawl into a dark hole, shut out the world, and sleep.
