Silver, too, noticed the dark-haired Slytherin who was the main player in the game. She saw a likeness to herself in the strength of character on the Pitch, no matter what she might be like in real life. Almost possibly considering that it might not be too bad losing to that girl, Silver shook it off as the Quaffle landed practically in her lap, one of her fellow team-mates waving at her from the other side of the Pitch, and a few others looking quite angrily at her for daydreaming.
Without moving an inch, Silver simply picked up the Quaffle and lobbed it forward as hard as she could, and to her great surprise, it went through a hoop!
"Oh my God - yes!" Silver yelled, and high-fived all the other Hufflepuffs, her pale eyes now alight with fire anew.

Claire watched as the Quaffle went through another of the Slytherin's hoops. "10 more points to Hufflepuff. Hufflepuff are ahead by ten points!"

Hikalyn couldn't believe herself. She obviously wasn't playing very well; even if she hadn't caught it, she should have been able to block the shot.
Self-flagellation was something that she would have to indulge in later, however. Gritting her teeth, she tore after the Quaffle, rescuing it before it dropped to the ground. She kept her flight low, just a couple of feet above the ground, and didn't pull up until she reached the other end of the pitch, when she nudged her broom into a steep ascent, not stopping until she was hovering a good deal above the Huffle goalposts. She faked a pass to Squee, near her, and then drove her arm hard forward, hurtling the ball in a strong shot towards the Huffle goals.

Now desperate to keep ahead of the Slytherins (who were, Silver had to admit, still playing very well, although it was clear that both teams were getting quite weary at this poin), she steamed ahead. Waiting for another pass, her eyes flicked as the Quaffle went from player to player, waiting for it to return to her corner of the Pitch, quietly hoping for some help from her fellow team-mates.
"Wyl, come on, where is that Snitch?" she muttered desperately, her heart thumping.

Watching the black-haired Chaser shoot through the rest of her team-mates, Silver sighed in frustration. In practise she had been taught to remain in her place until the ball came in her direction, but at this moment in time all she could think of was that she needed to score, and keep scoring until she left the Slytherins far, far behind.
Shooting ahead, she dipped in front of Hikalyn, forcing the player to stop mid-air. Cut too short to swerve and avoid the yellow-robed Chaser, the Slytherin dropped the Quaffle into another Hufflepuff's hands and Silver grinned as she shot away with it.

Hikalyn twirled on her broom in midair, going after the Chaser with a speed the other girl apparently had not anticipated. She used her light build to great advantage in this game, even when she was playing as Chaser, not Seeker.
She reached away and batted the Quaffle from the other girl's hands, catching as it fell and going into a dive to shake of Silver's pursuit. She didn't want to be throwing up, however, so once again she arched into a steep ascent, and once she was well above the Huffle goalposts, she sent it spiralling down towards the center hoop, leaning forward on her broom as she watched its descent. When she streak of red passed through the two hoops, she grinned in relief. Slytherin score.
Turning, she raced back once more across the pitch, stopping at the halfway point to better intercept the ball when it came their way.

“ Slytherin score. 40 points each!” Claire projected. She was getting tired now and was hoping the Snitch would be caught quickly.

"Come on HUFFLEPUFF!" Silver practically screamed herself hoarse. The crowd's reverberating excitement was beginning to get to her, and she became not only a player in the game, but on observer. She watched to see how the Slytherins scored, and then zoomed in to reclaim the falling Quaffle.
While the Slytherins were celebrating the goal, Silver caught the falling Quaffle before anybody remembered the game was still continuing. Grinning to herself, she shot towards the now unprotected Hufflepuff goalposts and shot the Quaffle right through the left hoop without any effort whatsoever!
"Yeah!" she yelled, as the crowd went into a total state of cconfusion. "Hufflepuff forever!"

Claire watched as how Silver caught the Quaffle and sped down to the other end of the pitch. She scored quickly. “ Hufflepuff score! 50 – 40 to Hufflepuff!”

Squee looked down, then quickly snapped out of it. Hikalyn faked a pass to her and aimed for the goal posts. She smiled and watched it get nearer. Heart tumpong with anticipation, she wished that the agme could be over. She knew both teams were tiered and it was up to the seekers.
Hardening her resolve, she realized that Silver had the quaffle. She shot off after her and tried to catch up. Her stupid broom was rather slow but then she noticed Slytherin scored. She grinned and shot off foward to defend the slytherin goals. But alas she was too late. Catching the quaffle, she sped to the other end, with all her strength.

Hikalyn shook her head as the Quaffle went in. The game was definitely getting fast-paced.
She didn't bother kicking herself over the lastest goal. It was all about winning now. About scoring, about keeping ahead. She grabbed the Quaffle as it fell, bobbing and weaving as she headed across the pitch, avoiding Bludgers and other players.
She halted at the other end of the pitch, waiting for an opportunity to either pass to a teammate or score, willing Artemis to hurry up and find the Snitch.

Silver squealed in delight as the entire Hufflepuff Team seemed to perk up at the sneakiness of Silver's last goal.
Watching as another player took possession of the Quaffle, Silver ducked as a Bludger almost whacked the back end of her broom, and looked over to see the Beaters from the other Team sniggering. Feeling heckled, she flew towards where the other Hufflepuff Chasers were headed, where she might be needed. It was all about House Pride.

Doing a quick loop-the-loop to avoid being attacked by an angry-looking Chaser, Silver finally managed to get the Quaffle from a passing Hufflepuff and flew through a clear patch of air towards the goal. Although it was taking quite a while, she knew the game would have to be over soon. She felt it in her bones.
Looking to see if Wyl had any idea where the Snitch was, she sighed heavily. It seemed once again like it was all up to her. She attempted a goal - but the Slytherin Keeper knocked it right back at her. Cursing, she went to follow it to the ground where it was falling.

Kalyn was about to dive after the Snitch, when Artemis signalled her again. Then, the girl who had been their Seeker disappeared off the pitch, not without a great amount of reluctance.
Muttering her expletive, Kalyn pulled out of her chase after the Quaffle, elevating herself above the level of play. Her eyes were searching the sky for a telltale glimmer of gold.
She had to find it. They had to win. They had lost to Hufflepuff last year, and that still didn't sit too well with the Chaser-turned-Seeker.
They had to win.

Silver managed to pick up the pace again, eventually catching the Quaffle as it fell from the hands of another clumsy Slytherin. A few of them were speedy, but most of them seemed to be there just so they could look good on their expensive brooms.
Feeling prouder than ever of her House, talent and broomstick, no matter how shabby any of them were, she shot forward with the Quaffle in hand, and smiled as her fellow team-mates all gave her a thumbs-up as she passed them speedily.
