Silver passed the Quaffle to Camber, giving her a sly wink.
"Come on Cambs, we can run circles around this lot!" she laughed. She knew she was taking too much on instinct and confidence here, but in the air she just felt so much... safer. Even despite the falls.

Hikalyn saw the other girl go down, would have even stopped play to go see if she was alright, but she saw Claire tending to her, and she was making no attempt ot stop play.
Kalyn instead focused her attention on the now all-important task of finding the Snitch.
That was when she saw Artemis back on the pitch, and she nearly fainted herself, from relief. She sent the girl an estatic wave, and dropped back into the main play, ready to resume her position as Chaser--just as she saw the Quaffle go into the Slytherin goals.
Her expression hardened. Back to business.

Running out on the pitch looking very disgruntled, toti mounted and took off. Watching as the hufflepuff team made a goal, she sped towards the goals.
Face etched with determination, she watched another slytherin player come onto the pitch, and sighed. the more the merrier, grinning, she realized, It's not over till it's over.

Silver laughed as she recieved the Quaffle from her teammate.
Zipping through the air, the wind caressed her face gently, and she let out a massive grin as she sent the Quaffle sailing easily through the hoop, the screaming and cheering of the Hufflepuff crowd true music to her ears. All she wanted was to win... for her House... for their pride...
Taking a quick bow on her broom, Silver soon turned herself to face the Pitch and wait again for the Quaffle to come sailing closer.

“Hufflepuff score again! 30 – 20 to Hufflepuff!” Claire shouted as she watched the girl who had just been unconscious score another goal.

No rest for the wicked, thought Silver with a wry smile as she sped in a little closer to the rest of her team to try and organise a new set of tactics to use against the sly Slytherins.
With a quick burst of speed she shot forward and grabbed the Quaffle, then passing it over Hikalyn's head to another Hufflepuff player who sped on towards the goal.
Following closely behind, Silver prayed silently for another goal. If only we can keep ahead of them... please...

Hikalyn growled silently. They may have been about even now in players, but during her short solo they had fallen behind under a considerable disadvantage. Time to turn that around.
She snatched Quaffle as it fell from the Slytherin goals, tucking it against her chest so that it would be hard to grab as she flew. Making herself as small as possible, she streaked across the Pitch, balancing with her knees. Even as she was moving, with water streaming from her eyes due to the wind in her face, she was searching for someone to pass to, in case that would be a better option than making a shot.

Feeling slightly unnerved by the sudden blur of green and silver that kept shooting past her ears, Silver turned nervously around - a Slytherin was hot on hr tail.
Ducking below, she allowed them to move in front of her, chasing the girl with the Quaffle. That way if they attacked her, there might be some chance of recovering possession of the Quaffle before the Slytherins could get to it.
Within seconds, it happened - the Quafle fell like a promise from the sky, and Silver zoomed forward and caught it, zooming upwards just in time to avoid a collision with a blonde haired Slytherin who was coming murderously her way. Speeding up, gaining on the goals, Silver felt herself fly above them all.

She saw Squee hovering around the other side of the goalposts, but she didn't have a clear pass. Anyway, it was time to take a decidedly more offensive position.
She ran her fingers over the Quaffle once, feeling it in her fingers, than darted across the pitch, streaking past the first two goalposts. As she approached the third one, she released the Quaffle, sending it spiralling towards the Huffle goals, and grinned in truimph when it went in, falling towards the ground as it passed between the goalposts.
Waving truimphantly at Squee, Kalyn turned and sped back to defend the Slytherin end, with a gesture that her fellow Chaser might want to do the same.

Hikalyn was back as Chaser and seemed to get right back into it. Grabbing the Quaffle she scored once again. “ Slytherin score. 30 points each!”

Feeling almost as though she was doing all the work, Silver ducked as a Slytherin tried an offensive - he skimmed her head with her broom, and she felt a warm trickle of blood run down the left side of her forehead.
"Darnit!" she muttered, clutching the fallen Quaffle even closer. It didn't hurt, it would be easy enough to just keep playing, keep scoring... They just had to win, they had to, they had to...

Squee Smiled as the other chaser scored, and sped back toward the opposite side, Like Hikalyn. Face etched with determination, she Decided to guard the goals with her life. No way were the Hufflepuffs gonna win this one.
Smirk set on her face she felt more confident than she ever had. Watching Silver speed closer she noticed the blood.

Hikalyn steered her broom towards the Huffle chaser, the one who, like her, seemed to be everywhere on the Pitch. However the game went, Kalyn resolved to talk to her after her, congratulate her on an excellently played game. Now, though, the girl was simply an opponent.
She shadowed the other girl, blocking a clear shot towards the posts, ready to intercept a shot or pass. She noticed the blood trickling down the girl's head, which lent to her look of grim determination, a look that Kalyn was sure she herself mirrored. They had to win. Just had to.

Ace's voice ran through Silver's head - the confidence he had given her before the only thing keeping her going in what was an extraordinarily trying game. Feeling as though the weight of the world (or at least the school) lay solely upon her shoulders, a single tear of corroborated frustration and despair fell unwated down her cheek.
So Slytherin had scored. Big deal, right? That's what he would say. Hufflepuff were doing their best, and he had never asked for any more than that. Silver's heart hammered as she managed to grab the Quaffle once again, and feeling as though she could barely carry on, she flew as fast as she could towards the goals.

Kalyn matched her pace, a green and silver blur beside one of canary yellow. At the last moment, she put on an extra burst of speed, cutting directly in front of her and making a grab for the Quaffle which the girl held in her hands. If she didn't get it, at the very least she would keep the girl from making a shot. OOC: Can't get it every time, eh?
