And reinforcements came. At least, one did, in the form of a purple and scarlet blur weilding a heavy club and grinning manically. The blur that was the Gryffindor beater soared to her friend, knocking both bludgers off course with sweeping swings of her bat, which were almost as dangerous as the bludgers themselves.
"Shout if you need help!" she called over her shoulder at Aidana as she flew off again in persuit of more things to hit.

Laura, a Gryffindor Prefect has sneaked the Quaffle through a Hufflpuff hoop. ”THE LIONS SCORE AGAIN! GRYFFINDOR 40 – HUFFLEPUFF 20!”

Ari smiled at her block. She wanted to see the look on that Chaser's face. She looked up happily. She felt delighted and excited and threw it back to the nearest Gryffindor chaser.

Reaching out, she felt the quaffle, thrown by the 'Puff keeper, sink gracefully into her hand, first past her fingertips, and then securely into her palm. Straightening up, she protectively tucked the quaffle under her arm before making another attempt at the goalposts.

Silver betrayed not a flicker of emotion as Gryffindor scored once again, nor would she ever from this day admit to the rip that occurred deep inside her, knowing she was going to lose. Nobody would ever know how much it killed her to say she wasn't good enough.
Flying steadfastly forward, she smiled convincingly at Wyl. "Just find that Snitch, mister. Although..." She glanced at the Gryffindors, her eyes hard and vengeful. "Maybe not. There's hope for us yet, don't give up."
Of course, she was saying it as much for herself as she was for him as she flew on, Gryffindor in possession, unrelentless - well what chance would two Chasers have against a full team?

Ari smiled happily. They were doing well. She was doing well, and her whole team seemed to moving in synch. She couldn't have been more happily that they were working like a well oiled clock.

Lars was mad, he felt like he could do nothing. "I can't believ I keep missing, all those goals," he said under his breath. To him this game went so fast, so he couldn't keep up. Lars wondered if he had broken any rules, or if he hadn't. Lars was confused, and could not find the ball. Lars saw a bludger, and ducked it. The bludger seemed like it came from nowhere. Then all sorts of worries hit his mind, Was that the Quaffle?, he ended up asking himself. "Please Wyl, find the snitch," Lars said to himself, not yring to be mean.

OOC: Isn't it 40-20?
A thunderous yell roared from the stands as Laura took another goal for Gryffindor. Aidana grinned, a goal a piece, not bad. Sill, they needed more. She heard her name yelled out behind her and instantly recognized Sylph's voice. She gave a quick nod, that was all she could spare. She sped off after Adhara, ready to back her up if need be.

It was an immense relief to the pent-up frustration in Silver when she finally had hold of the Quaffle once more. It was beginning to feel like the thing that was missing from her body while it was being tossed around by other players. Tucking it under her arm, she shot for the goal, unhesitatingly bashing the shoulders of various Gryffindors as she passed, missing a lucky few by inches as the hoops neared.
"For victory," she mumbled as she grabbed the Quaffle from beneath her arm and aimed it through the left hoop - the Keeper dived to the right - and...
"YEAH! Never give up, never lose hope, Hufflepuff, Hufflepuff, yeah yeah yeah!" screamed Silver, barely even aware of what she was shouting, the nonsensical sentences coming out in barrages as she stared down the Gryffindors victoriously.

Anne was sitting gingerly in the Slytherin stands, doing her best to view the game over the heads of many students. She yelled for the Hufflepuff team, considering she considered Gryffindors to be the enemies of anyone who would call themselves an honorable Slytherin. "Go Hufflepuff!" She said in a moderate yell.
