Silver smirked at the Gryffindor who was marking her - she was far too slow. Doing a quick lash-tail diversion, she laughed as the Gryffindor span randomly in another direction as she sped ahead, once again on track.
OK, OK, so Hufflepuff was in a spot of trouble with the number of team members. But still, being up here on her broom with the wind on her hair and the world below her - it felt good, it felt right. She almost felt as though she could achieve anything.
Which, she thought sternly to herself, was probably a good thing.

Gryffindor had scored. ”HUFFLEPUFF NIL, GRYFFINDOR 10!”

Out of the corner of her eye, Aidana saw Sylph take to the air. From what she could tell, the Quaffle was now in Hufflepuff posession. That had to be fixed and soon. She chased after the player with the Quaffle, just waiting to gain posession of it. Narrowly avoiding a rogue bludger, she was forced to do loop-de-loops to get clear of two Gryffindors. She flew by Sylph, just long enough to get a message across.
" Get her!!" she yelled to the Beater, before resuming the chase.

Addie's eyes gleamed in triumph and she flew back to the center of the pitch, trying to anticipate the keeper's movements in order to intercept the scarlet orb. She was entirely focused on the ball, weaving back and forth as she watched the other player's feints.

SIlver gritted her teeth angrily.
"No way," she muttered.
Pulling her broom out from the recommended formation suggested by their Captain (who was also absent), she flew straight to where the Gryffindors were still throwing it around. She could see on their faces that they were pleased with their early lead, and, smirking, she came up behind one of them just as another threw the Quaffle to them.
"Boo!" she yelled. The Chaser span around, but it was too late - all she could see was a silver and yellow blue shooting towards the other end of the pitch at top speed, the Quaffle saf and secure under Silver's arm. It was almost too quick for the commentator to notice as she flung her arm back and lobbed the ball right through the center hoop.
"YES!" she yelled, punching a fist in the air in triumph. She met the Gryffindor Keeper's eye with a grin - one all.

Just as Gryffindor had scored, Hufflepuff had taken control and scored! ”HUFFLEPUFF SCORE, 10 ALL!”

Wyl frowned as Adhara scored a goal. He watched the Chaser's talking in an undertone to each other and flew over, yellow robes flying out behind him.
"Good Luck you two, just concentrate on your game and we'll be right." He offered a grin, then shot off again to continue his hunt for the Snitch.

It was all in vain, as she heard the thunderous applause rise from the Hufflepuffside of the stadium. Two goals, plenty more time to score. Narrowing her emerald eyes she sought out the next person with the Quaffle. Seeing Adhara to her right, Aidana gave her a little nod as if to say 'I have your back.' It was her first game, and she didn't want to be too forward.
But she saw her chance. A bludger came out of nowhere and knocked the red ball out of Hufflepuff posession. Tilting her boom slightly, Aidana zoomed off and deftly caught it in her hands. Doing a 180 in the air, she darted off in the direction of the Hufflepuff goal.

Sylph spun around artfully on her broom just in time to see a red blur shoot past her whilst yelling. It was Aidana, and Slyph had got the message. Saluting with her bat as she did so, she pelted after the first bludger she saw, hitting it firmly towards the hufflepuff chaser now in possession. Gryffindor had scored first, but anything Sylph could do to stop the opposition doing the same would be important. Not waiting to see if her bludger had made contact, she flew quickly off to find the other, waving quickly up at their seeker, Makira as she did so. She seemed nervous, but Sylph knew how good she was. They would be fine.
Or would they? Next thing she knew, Hufflepuff had drawn level. She swooped down to block a stray bludger from hitting Aidana, whacking it in the direction of a hufflepuff player - Sylph didn't see which one. Not that it mattered.

Silver nodded confidently to Wyl.
"It's OK, we've got it under control - they can't intimidate us with their numbers, when we have Hufflepuff pride." With a knowing smile, she winked at Wyl, and looked over to where the Hufflepuff fans were screaming their lungs out. She waved at them, sending them into a higher state of frenzy and, energized, she reformed in the middle of the pitch, ready to resume play once more.
"Let's go," she laughed, clapping Lars on the back.

The curly haired brunette zoomed along the pitch next to Aidana, ducking the bludgers and hoping that she would be in time to catch the quaffle if the girl dropped it. Her heart thrummed with adrenaline and she kept her attention focused on the crimson orb tucked into the chaser's hands, allowing her peripheral vision to aid her in avoiding obstacles. The roar of the crowd was merely background noise as Addie continued to stay under her fellow chaser, like a dog waiting for a table scrap to be dropped. In this case, the table scrap was integral to her house’s chances of winning the Quidditch Cup.

((OOC - FOUND IT! mgckalhrizn.proboards35.com/index.cgi?board=faerie&action=display&thread=1112051443 Oi.. sorry.. *sulks* >__< ))
BIC : Makira flew around and around, looking for that little golden ball. She thought she spotted it, but turned her head away.
She looked back - it was there.. the Snitch.. The Snitch!
She shook her head, and zoomed after it, her right arm absent-mindedly outstretched, and right on it's tail. It moved swiftly to the left, but the turned with it, about two inches from it. It made another sharp turn, but she followe it, surprised she was doing so well - it must run in the family, or something, she thought quickly. She begged for another two inches, and her Firebolt seemed to listen. Makira zoomed forward, and grasped it.
Or - so she thougt.. it zoomed away, and Makira cursed angrily. She went after it, but.. she couldn't find it...
"Damn..!"EDIT: Sorry Makira, it is not there, and in the rules I sent you it clearly states that you should inform me so I can give you permission to post that you have caught it.

Darting in and out of all the players and the balls, Aidana was a red and gold blur as she shot across the Quidditch Pitch. Quaffle in her right arm, she suddenly veered left to avoid another bludger. Suddenly she felt a presence beside her, and sneaked a quick glance. It was Adhara, and she knew that if she somehow messed up, the other girl would bail her out.
She held the red ball tightly, and just waited for the perfect moment to score. And there it was, right there! She noticed the keeper waiting for her to throw the ball. Feinting left, she whipped the ball to her right. The keeper didn't expect it, and miraculously the Quaffle went in!!

"No," Lars screamed when he saw the Gryffindor seeker, catch the snitch. There was nothing he could do, the ball seemed to be every where, besides in his hands. Lars looked over to Silver and Wyl, and gave a sad look. Lars felt like it was his fault, only if he played before. He never even practice a game of quidditch. "I am sorry," he said gently to his team mates. He still wondered if the won the quidditch cup.

To her recollection, Silver had never felt anything more intense as she swooped carefree through the air, passing the Quaffle back and forth between herself and her team-mate, some unspoken bond between the pair of them as they ran circles around the Gryffindor Chasers, dodging Bludgers all the way.
Her first ever game had been the final of last year, when Ace had asked her to play at the last minute - she had barely even ridden a broomstick before, but it had come so naturally to her it almost felt unnatural to float back down to earth afterwards. Perhaps it was because her first ever match had captured so much glory and status for the team that she was so determined for this match to be won - she knew what glory could lie ahead for the prestiged Hufflepuffians, and desperately wanted it kept. If not for the House then for the Vampire who had made it possible, who watched them now with pride. If he hadn't asked her to play that day... what would have become of her? Would she have ever discovered her raison d'etre?
Grinning wildly, her silver locks whipping the side of her pale heart-shaped face, Silver threw the Quaffle to her team-mate once more.
(ooc: not the real snitch... keep going, puffs!)
