”GRYFFINDOR ARE NOW ON 20! HUFFLEPUFF ON 10!” Claire called as she watched another Quaffle thrown by Gryffindor sail through a Hufflepuff hoop.

Silver cursed loudly as Gryffindor scored. Unfortunately she happened to be near the commentator's stand at the time, and her obsenity was magnified by ten, echoing around the stands which, after a stunned silence, burst into raucous laughter and applause. It was then that Silver realised that the majority of the school wanted Hufflepuff to win - it was their only shot at glory, and they all knew it.
With a sheepish grin, she flew as far from the magical megaphone as she could, and caught the Quaffle as it fell from a fumbling save, and flew steadily towards the other end of the Pitch.

Ari gained a new intensity as her anger at herself built. How could she let the quaffel pased. She glared at everything and everyone around her. Anger filled her body and she watched everything with the eyes of a hawk hungry for her prey. I will not let this happen again!

Sylph punched the air as Gryffindor - Aidana no less! - scored again, bringing Gryffindor back in the lead. She pulled hard on the handle of her broom, sending herself spinning back up-field, ready to send a forceful bludger at whichever hufflepuff chaser caught the quaffle this time. Catching up with one of the black balls, she took her club and trapped it by bouncing it once or twice - though it took a great deal of effort to do so, bludgers being what they were - waiting to see which canary yellow figure she should let it loose at.
As soon as a girl - Silver - caught it and started towards her, Sylph thwacked the ball with all the strength she could muster, sending it flying with dreadful force at her intended target.

Emerald green eyes narrowed as she saw that irratating Hufflepuff chaser grab -her- quaffle yet again. Urging her FallingStar onto greater speed, the Gryffindor flattened herself over her broom, and concentrated every essence in her body on one solitary thought: speed. She flew like a thousand dementers wearing frilly pink dresses were pursuing her.
Once again Adhara found herself under and slightly to the side of the 'Puff chaser's broom. She really was going to have to learn this girl's name one of these days, but right now she wasn't in the mood to be polite. She stalked the other chaser relentlessly, hoping against hope that the quaffle would drop out of her grasp, or that she could catch it if the ball was thrown.

Silver could not help but laugh at the obvious arrogance of the Gryffindor team. Had they not learned from last year that their big heads might slow them down?
With a mischievious glint in her eye, she dodged a Bludger, flew a circle around a confused-looking second-year player and passed the Quaffle to Lars, who seemed to be pretty nervous. His hands were shaking and he looked as though he might be about to be sick.
"It's OK, just keep flying - don't stop, even for a minute!" yelled Silver over the noise, trying to be reasuring despite the volume of her voice. "Just keep calm and you'll be fine, I promise!"
With a wink, she recieved the Quaffle again and flew towards the three golden hoops that awaited her.

Ari was ready for Silver. SHe watched the girl hungry to prove herself and to stop her from scoring. SHe tracked the quaffle making sure that she knew which way it was going to go. She wanted to stop it and she told herself she would.

Lars got the quaffle and began to fly towars the Gryffindor goals, but he was not going very fast. He tried to stay away from their oppenents, and wanted complete concetration on their goal. Still flying slow, he went to his left, then went into a speed burst. Flying as fast as he could, he faked a throw, hoping to mess them up.
He then flew towards the right side, and moved in closer. Lars looked around hoping no bludgers were coming at him, but he was still going to take the show. With all his streangth, Lars threw the Quaffle in the lowest goal, and it...

"Not this time dearie," Addie all but growled as she watched the chaser's actions. She sped up and practically threw her broom, and herself, in front of the girl's headlong rush towards Gryffindor's goalposts. It was a move that she remembered from her first quidditch game at the school...Kezaa had pulled it on her, and the memory brought a small smile to her otherwise stern gameface.

Sylph cursed as the girl dodged her bludger, swinging her bat in a bout of anger. Still, even as she did so, she sent her broom hurtling towards the back down the pitch, blocking one bludger and catching up with the first that she had hit. Raising her club once more, she looked up, seeing that a boy in hufflepuff robes was now in possession, and sent a heavy rolling ball straight at his head. But was it too late?
Her breath caught, but it was ok, Hufflepuff hadn't scored. And it was Gryffindor in possession.

Curling her fingers around the broom handle perhaps a little tighter than was necessary, Silver narrowed her eyes at one Gryffindor Chaser who had been giving her more evil glances than was customary. Rivalry on the pitch, was it?
"Right then," muttered Silver, her pale and usually soft lavender eyes turning hard and cold as she whipped past the girl with little regard for her safety. She watched as a Beater aimed a Bludger at her with an ugly look on her face, but ducked moments before it would probably have killed her - turning round, she saw it heading straight for the girl who had been evilling her. With a grin, she watched the rest of the Gryffindor Team come to a halt suddenly, and grabbed her chance.
Within moments, Silver and the Quaffle were flying once again towards the hoops that promised victory... for one of the teams, anyway. Crossing her fingers, Silver aimed for the hoops, and... missed.
With a dejected sigh, she flew back again, thinking to herself that at least she had caused some severe damage to the Gryffindor Team.

Ari wasn't fooled by the pass. Her eyes saw the quaffle and the play long before it happened. She knew where the quaffle was going, but her heart still pounded loudly in her chest. She didn't want to mess this up. She just needed to watch the quaffle closely to find where it would land. She watched as Silver missed and sighed deeply. The pressure was still there but not as heavy as before.

Raising her arms in victory, Aidana felt the adrenalin rush once again. Claire's voice echoed throughout the staduim and she felt a sudden rush of pride. But she quickly gripped reality. Two goals, no snitch. Wishing Makira luck, she gripped the handles of her broom again and zoomed off in pursuit of a Hufflepuff player. She always seemed to have posession of the quaffle, and Aidana had to admit, she was good. This was not the time for that, determination gripped her again.
She saw that Silver had the Quaffle and passed it on to Lars, then took it again trying to score. Yes, if only she could... She saw the quaffle fly towards the goal posts, and zoomed towards it. Intercepting it deftly, her arms tightened on the ball as she looked for Adhara. Finding her in passing range, she flew by the girl and softly dropped it in her arms.
