Wyl flew down land firmly on the Pitch and pocketed the Snitch for the moment - he'd return it to Claire later. For now, he had slightly more pressing matters to deal with. Throwing his leg back over his broom he hovered not even a metre from the ground, allowing the bottom of his robes to brush along the grass. He flew almost lazily along to his destination, before pulling his broom handle up and shooting into the sky, stopping gently next to Lottie.
Grinning lopsidedly at her, he parked his broom next to her and gave her a hug.
"Missed you, Lott," he murmured into her hair, then pulled her back and kissed her gently.
"Been wanting to do that for a long time," Wyl assured her, a twinkle in his eyes and then repeated the gesture.

"So long you left it til now?" Lottie replied almost cheekily, resting her head against hislips as he kissed her. Now the adrenaline had gone, tiredness was beginning to creep in, despite the day of celebrating they stil had ahead of them.
"You were amazing out there, Wyl," the bruneete stated, making sure she was still keeping balance on her broom and not about to topple over to one side. Looking up at him with excited but tired brown eyes, she whispered: "Not that we expected anything else," before gently pecking him on the cheek. "I missed you, too."

Wyl wrapped his arms around Lottie and kissed the top of her head, slipping one arm up to push his glasses higher up his nose - the aftermath of sweat of his flight for the Snitch was making his nose more slippery than usual. Using his sleeve to wipe some of it from his forehead, Wyl replied to Lottie's admission.
"I'd hope you'd miss me! You could've easily forgotten who I was and skipped off with another dashing young gentleman - and they'd have to be fairly dashing to replace me - " Wyl grinned sportingly and chuckled softly before continuing,
"Leaving me out in the rain, all alone," He mock sniffed and then held Lottie closer - if that was even possible - wondering why she was so quiet.
"Why are you so quiet?" He voiced his thoughts so suddenley he hadn't realised that he'd said it at all.

"I could nevah evah forget you, Wyl.. you wouldn't let me, would you?" she giggled, pushing his glasses up for him again. They really did fall down a lot.. maybe she would consider getting Wyl a string to keep them round his neck, at least, for Christmas.
At his last question, however, Lottie flinched if ever so slightly, and looked down to her celebrating team mates. Nudging Wyl gently, she smiled: "Think we should go down and join them?"

Noting the reluctant tone of voice Lottie used, Wyl made a split second decision. With a mischievious grin, he lifted Lottie from her broom and seated her side saddle on the back of his. The broom fell a little with the extra weight but soon righted itself, Lottie's broom falling gently from the sky and coming to a soft resting place on the Pitch.
Wyl grinned triumphantly.
"Now you aren't getting rid of me till we talk, lovey," Wyl declared and wrapped an arm almost awkwardly around Lottie's waist before taking the broom a little higher in the air.

Higher and higher and higher they went until Faye, Forgoil, Silver and Carmy looked like little dots on the grass below the pitch. "You cheated!" Lottie laughed, shifting a little closer to make sure she wouldn't fall off the broom. Even if she did feel safe with Wyl's arm wrapped around her waist, she was still reeling from almost losing balance after the bludger had hit her earlier.
"Besides, we have talked, haven't we? I said I missed you, you said you'd hope I had, and I said let's go join the others, right?" Lottie grinned, almost forcing the action upon herself. "And they'd better look after my broom..."

"Nothing will happen to your broom," Wyl promised. He frowned as he wondered about her gabbling. He knew that Lottie loved to talk, but this seemed to be more diversionary tactics than actual words of substance.
He shifted slightly so he was facing her and touched her cheek softly, lifting her chin so that she had to look into his sea blue eyes.
"What's wrong, Lott?"

Lottie's eyes strayed away for a few seconds. She knew she had been caught out just like Pim had by the evil elves from the book. Though, Wyl wasn't evil... the doctor who had been plaguing her thoughts a lot lately was. And Forgoil... she hadn't dared to speak to him since. How could she when he had let him in? Got her cornered in the common room and... told her that?
Flinching, though more noticably this time, Lottie shook her head gently, her voice slightly high pitched as she replied: "It's nothing! I'm just... tired... forgot to have breakfast, and so I'm a little low on sugar today?"
Though she had been as convincing as the situation allowed, Lottie knew Wyl would see right through it. He always did, which was why she loved him. Sighing, she continued quietly: "Well there is something... but it's fine... I'm okay... I promise."

Wyl could see she was slowly relenting. He moved his arms from her waist and took her hands in his bigger and slightly more calloused hands, squeezing them affectionately.
"Talk to me, Lottie," Her eyes had drifted to the ground so he craned his neck to try and make eye contact with her again - as attractive as the top of her head was, he'd much rather look into her eyes - and kissed her mouth (what he could get of it) gently.
"Please? Apart from my incredible good looks and my mental fireworks, I am here to talk," Wyl was trying to coax a smile at least from Lottie; he hadn't seen a truly geniune one since he'd last saw her before he'd left. What had happened whilst he'd been gone?

And that smile came. There was a slight upward curve of the lips was evident as she remembered the number of times he had thrown fireworks off in the common room and the number of times she had simply sat there and watched him as he slept dozily in the common room and she had twirled her fingers in his hair.
Though.. the fireworks seemed to have become more faint over time as his lips met hers. "I think Forgoil isn't talking to me... and I don't know if I'm talking to him... and we had a bit of... yeah and I really can't go back to the common room and celebrate while he's there... and..." Here, she stopped and shook her head, putting it in her hands. "I can't do it..."

Wyl chuckled softly to himself and smoothed away a stray strand of hair that was waving around Lottie's face.
"Aren't you overreacting a little? Surely if you and Forgoil talk about everything I'm sure you could fix everything easily. There's no point in loosing such a good friend over an argument that you yourself are so confused about,"
Wyl had meant every word in jest, but there was something that had settled uncomfortably in the bottom of his stomach that screamed this wasn't perhaps the best time to joke.

Lottie's head jolted up as Wyl asked: Aren't you overreacting a little?
"Over...reacting?" She squeaked, her eyes widened in horror. "Over...reacting? You think I'm overreacting? Lottie repeated, her voice as high pitched as it was before. "Wyl, you weren't there! You don't know what happened! If I'd have told you before, if I'd have told you what had happened, would you say I had overreacted?!" shaking her head violently, the agression from earlier on in the game coming back, Lottie looked right at Wyl, a mixture of emotions in her eyes between confusion, anger and fear.
"I can't believe you just said that!!"

Wyl was absolutely flabbergasted. He'd infuriated her? With two sentences and a half? Was that even possible? Apparentely it was, and Wyl was frozen in absolute surprise for a few moments as Lottie raged at him, suddenly incredibly terrified of what else the cold, gut feeling in his stomach was telling him.
He put his hands on her shoulders gently and tried to soothe her with an apology but he wasn't entirely sure how it would work. It didn't. She shrieked out an 'I can't believe you just said that!' and Wyl threw up his hands, defeated.
"Fine! Fight with Forgoil! Be angry at him over a situation that you won't tell me about yet you expect me to understand." The broom had slowly been sinking as Lottie had let fly at Wyl and now their feet were skimming the ground, most people around them or nearby had fallen into a complete silence, almost all of them aware that they were witnessing the first major argument that the infamous Hufflepuff couple had had ever.

And now the rage had gone and shock had set in.
Had she just said that? Had she really ranted and raved over something that wasn't even Wyl's fault. Hot tears stung at her eyes as he shouted back at her. It was something she throuroughly (sp?) deserved. The brunette opened and closed her mouth a few times, words failing her once again for the second time in less than twenty minutes. And now... now she had joined in with the silence that had clouded over the stadium.
Putting her feet on the ground and climbing off the broom and looking at the floor, her voice dropped to a mumble. "Maybe you don't understand me as well as I thought you did..." and as she looked back up, it felt as though a rock had hit her in the stomach as she whispered the final words: "Maybe... maybe we don't belong together any more..." As a lump hit her throat, the brunette girl ran off before Wyl could say anything else and headed off to the common room... Hogsmeade sounded good right now.

Wyl felt as though he'd been hit in the stomach with seven Stunning spells and then been punched in the gut. Was she serious? Surely she couldn't be serious. Wyl sat on his broom in shock and ignored the fact that his gut had been sickeningly right. Suddenly he came to his senses and stood up, beginning to chase after Lottie.
"Lott! You don't mean that! Lottie! Come back!" Wyl roared but he was utterly defeated. He fell to his knees and was glad of his longer hair as it hid his face from view of the Hufflepuffs that still hadn't left the Pitch. Gritting his teeth furiously, he swiped madly at the own tears that were threatening to spill from his eyes, raised his wand and roared 'ACCIO BROOM!'. It promptly obeyed and for a moment Wyl considered going after her.
Instead he turned and his face lost its spark and twinkle as he strode furiously up to the Common Room.
