Marina growled with frustration as the ball was knocked from her hands. That had to be some sort of foul, didn't it?
Not dwelling on this, however, she clung to her broom, ducking opposite team players and stray bludgers, as always chasing that illusive quaffle. She wove her way as best she could towards Faye, hoping to intercept the quaffle.

Carmen cursed under her breath, with a 'dang!' movement from her right arm, with the bat in her hand. The Slytherin prefect had been missed by Carmen's darling budgers. Swiftly, her blue eyes turned to take a look at the other slytherin girl, not sure if she had been hit or not.

Artemis' eyes narrowed as, again, the Hufflepuffs soared off with the quaffle. This is getting old., she thought, quickly getting angry again. She fought down her emotions; pushed everything back. She turned around and started accelerating toward the chaser with the quaffle. One gloved hand reached out as she got nearer and nearer the opposing chaser. The hand became a fist, and her entire world shrunk the the tiny space between the chaser's arm and abdomen where the quaffle was residing.
The Slytherin girl carefully took aim... and punched the quaffle through the hole just as she came almost alongside the other chaser, making sure the only part of the other player she touched was the player's robes. A heartbeat passed, and she dove down the catch the falling quaffle, and she was off again.

When the quaffle left the Prefect's hands, Marina knew that now was her only chance at the quaffle. Serving as a keeper momentarily, she turned suddenly and veered in front of Faye, between her and the goals.
She stretched out her hands, trying to connect with the ball, but her grasp slipped it she merely knocked it off course as she found herself having to simultaneously dodge a bludger.
Cursing, she dipped quickly, down below the majority of the players, and caught the ball within her arms, grasping it tightly and glancing to find a window in which she could find her way to her posts and score.

What? What had happened? One moment the Quaffle was there, and the next it was gone. She had missed, obviously, and the red ball had begun to fall. Trying to chase after it, she watched as Artemis scooped it right up. Damn, damn, damn. Maybe she had grown overconfident. Growling a little under her breath, she flew off in hot pursuit of the Quaffle-stealer. She had to get the ball back. And if not her, Froggy or Lottie had to do it. One of them had to.
And where was Wyl? She prayed that they were making some progress with finding the snitch..

"Quit doing that!!!" Lottie shouted after the fast retreating Slytherin with a glare. Now it could almost be classed as personal. The Slytherin beaters seemed to hater her that day, too. Lottie found this out as a bludger hit the brustkes of her broom and set her off course.
"This isn't funny any more," she sulked, leaning forwards on her broom and chasing after the Slytherin player. Never again was she letting that girl get the quaffle.

With a little growl of frustration, Forgoil abandoned his hovering around the goal and sped off after the two slytherins that had teamed up on Faye. And before he arrived there, the same girl that he had been covering earlier gained posession of the quaffle.
With his small bit of Highlander blood boiling in his veins, Forgoil chased after Marina until he was just left and behind her. Accelerating in a last ditch attempt to stall the girl, Forgoil did a manuver that placed himself right in front of the incoming girl and braced for possible impact if she didn't go off course.

Marina found her window, and didn't hesitate to take it. She used every bit of energy she had, pressing herself so closely the handle of her broom that she felt as though it might sink into her flesh.
Clutching the quaffle, she dodged through lines of Hufflepuffs, advancing slowly towards the goals, and finally, finding herself within a clearing.
Pausing only momentarily, she ducked a bludger and threw the ball with all her might, the quaffle sailing through the middle goal post.

What? The bludgers veered off course from the slytherin girls and headed for Lottie! This wouldn't do. Tilted downward, Carmen zoomed off for her cousin, but wasn't quick enough to block her from the bludger. "Sorry Lott!" she cried out as the bludger zipped away, then back at Carmen.
WHACK! It was sent at the prefect again, flying at the top-most of speeds. Now it was getting personal, since she had just scored as well as missed all of Carmen's bludgers!

“SLYTHERIN HAVE SCORED! 20-10 TO HUFFLEPUFF” Claire announced as she heard Marina and the Slytherins cheer.

So Slytherin had scored once. That didn't mean that they would ever score again- Faye would personally see to that. All the protective measures that they had enacted had obviously done nothing, not even Froggy's little manuever which she found rather clever. Cursing a little, she spiraled down and scooped the Quaffle up mere seconds before it hit the ground. Then she was speeding off towards the Slytherin hoops, for the second time that night.
She had to do this. Glancing around, she looked for Lottie or Forgoil should she need to pass it.

That irked Forgoil; the girl had dodged him as if he were nothing at all. And to add insult to injury she had scored. Angry with himself for letting the Slytherin get by, Forgoil raced toward the quaffle but Faerlain had reached it herself. Darting off to the left side of the field, Forgoil's eyes never left Faye shoud she pass to him.
This time; the Scot was determined to keep it on that side of the field.

Marina didn't pause to celebrate after scoring. As soon as it was announced, she sped unannounced past the goals to where the quaffle had begun to fall.
She reached out her hands determinedly, clutching the quaffle to her chest, glancing about defensively, seeing where the other players were.
Marina nearly lost her balance as a bludger was whacked in her direction, dodging roughly - almost too late - and recovering, finding herself however significantly off course.
Glancing about restlessly, she tried to make her way through the masses of canary yellow, her mind one track on scoring once again.

"Dammit!" Lottie hissed, her eyes narrowing. She was hardly ever like this. "Marina, you're going down!!" She continued, pushing her broom to go faster. Though as Faye got the ball, she whooped a little. "C'mon Faye... you can do it!!!"
