Ondrea smiled, looking at the ground, "I thought so." she said, "That is why he said you where so caring, he likes you, a lot." Ondrea said, looking up at Rezna, "I'm serious, I just can tell with him."
Then looking back at the ground, holding in any tears that might show, she nodded, "That's nice of you. Yeah, he did mean a lot to the both of us... He left my sister behind, now she wants to take her own life too, I can't bare to loose the only family I have got left," Ondrea said, "And what makes me mad, as some people take her trying to kill herself like a joking matter, and they joke about Tony, and how he died."
Ondrea stopped, remembering the screams, and everything that happened that night, "They weren't there, they just don't know." Ondrea said, now looking up at Rezna, Well you don't have to worry about not saying anything to anyone anymore... You have just done it. Ondrea thought, getting mad at herself, But theres more... why don't you just go and spill that out to her too. Ondrea thought sarcastically to herself.
"Sorry 'bout that." she said, looking at Rezna, "You didn't need to hear that all."
By now Shadow had awoken, and was surprised at all that Ondrea had just said, but remained silent, he didn't want to interfere with anything.

She nodded lightly, but didn't interrupt the girl as she spoke about her sister and Tony. Apparently Ondrea's sister was having a hard time getting over his death, a harder time than either Queerious or Ondrea.
"That happens often you know. People talk about a subject that they know nothing about, not from experience at least, and through their arrogant manner end up hurting you more then they probably intent. Has your sister spoken to anyone about the matter? Maybe if she did, if she let out the pain she's feeling she would feel a little bit better."
"I think if someone shows her that life is not that bad, that even after the death of a friend, or loved one, it goes on, she would reconsider. Don't get mad at me for saying this, but I think that her life is very dim right now. She needs someone to show her something good, to show her that where there is darkness there is light. I doubt that Tony would want her to commit suicide. Maybe you should tell her that, or just talk to her in general," Rezna said softly.
Than turning to Ondrea, she laid a soft hand on the other's arm, "You can talk about it too, you know. I will listen, if you want me to."

Ondrea nodded, "I know, sometimes people think joking about it would make me laugh, but it doesn't, she is my sister, he was my friend, it is not funny how he died, or how she wants to... It just gets frustrating."
As Ondrea listened to Rezna, she continued staring at the ground, then managing to look Rezna in the eye, she took a deep breath, and then responded, "Don't worry, I'm not mad at you for saying that at all. The thing is, I have talked to her, she told me how she felt, and I told her that Tony will finally be happy, once she is, and that he wouldn't want her to do that to herself..." Ondrea took another breath, "But then someone came out of no where, ruined everything, and then she ran off with her knife... you can guess what for, but I got to her before she actually was dead." Ondrea said.
Ondrea sat there quietly. As for her showing her sister that there was light, that would be hard for her, since she herself needed to be shown it. However she did know that things do get better, but sometimes she doubted that they would get better for her, and sometimes even her sister.
Ondrea looked at Rezna, as she offered to listen to what Ondrea had to say, but Ondrea couldn't bring herself to doing that, she hadn't told anyone what she had gone through, not even her sister knew everything, "It's just hard sometimes." Ondrea said partly to herself, and partly into response to the last thing Rezna said.

"Well of course it is hard," Rezna replied, seeing Ondrea's reluctance to speak. She understood her and did not pressure her further. "It's especially hard when you give up hoping and stop expecting a change. But if you want a change to happen, you must make it happen yourself. You don't have to change yourself, it's a new way of looking at things, new encounters. If you come up here every night, you will find the place looks different in the morning."
"Ondrea, if anyone can help your sister, it is you. She will trust and believe you when she sees the belief you have in her and yourself. You can't convince someone to do something unless you yourself are sure about it. They will see your strength and will find it in themselves as well. If they see the light in you, they will find it for themselves."
Rezna looked into Ondrea's sad blue eyes. "The light is in each and every one of us. Some have a lot of it while others' is dimmed. You have to find the light in others and using theirs you can light your own. Then you can pass it on to your sister," she told the other softly.

Ondrea nodded as Rezna spoke to her, Holy, she is wise, I don't know anyone who speaks like that, at our age anyway... Except for when people write... Totally off topic... the blank look on Ondreas face sort of disappeared as she returned from her thoughts.
"I know. She listens to me, and I know, it is hard for her to believe the things that I say, about her life going to get better, when I myself doubt it." Ondrea sighed, " I do try to see things differently, you know, look at the positive things in life, and I have found some things." A smile came across her face, looking down at her cat Shadow, but then returning her gaze back at Rezna, "Sometimes. Sometimes its just not enough to keep you going, when everything just goes bad," Closing her eyes, "When the world has rid of the only light that seems to be left." Ondrea remembered, the world was great for some people, "or left for me." she added in.
Ondrea looked down at her feet again, "I know there is light in everyone, that is the thing that hurts me. My dad, he had light, no one saw it though, and now they killed him." Ondrea closed her eyes tight, "But that was mainly because of me."
Slowly opening her eyes again, looking at the floor, "The reason it hurts me is, I see it, I know it, and I trust people. I have trusted them too much, and they hurt me, after I have trusted them, they hurt me, and ruin me, they made me so I am blind of any light. That is why, Rezna, that's why I'm distant, I can't trust anyone again, the light is gone, and that is all, it is gone." Ondrea looked up, "I don't want anyone to be hurt by me, but I don't want to be hurt either, nor do I want my sister or friends to be hurt, that is why I am distant."
Ondrea looked down at her feet, again, and smirked at herself, "You probably didn't understand a word I just said do you?" Laughing at herself, "I suppose I can't expect you to."
Leaning back on the wall behind her, she yawned, "What I can't believe is the people who have it worse off then me, how they live."
Then looking at Rezna, "How the hell did you ever get so much wisdom, in that brain of yours?"

Rezna let Ondrea talk without interruption. After the final question was asked, she needed to let out a deep sigh before continuing.
"I am not wise. I am not that intelligent. What I just now told you came from my heart, not my brain." She stopped, feeling almost foolish for how she had spoken earlier.
"I'm sorry for whatever happened to your father. I'm sure that whatever it was that happened to him, it was not done by a conscious command of yours. Only if you inflict pain on someone while meaning to do it, is it your fault. Therefore, I'm guessing that whatever happened to him, it was not because of any physical action on your part."
Looking at Ondrea, Rezna could not help but smile at her strength. Despite all that she was suffering, she still held herself in check. Perhaps with more confidence in herself, Ondrea could help herself find the right path to solving her problems.
"And you do know that what you just told me was just as wise and made just as powerful an impact on me as anything I told you. You are just as wise, my friend, only you must see it in yourself."

Ondrea couldn't help the fact that she liked Rezna, she didn't want to like anyone, because of the danger, but Rezna seemed to be quite trustworthy, and loyal... at least she appeared to be.
"The thing is, I could have prevented it." Ondrea said, "He could still be alive, and my sister wouldn't of gone through everything she went through."
Ondrea smiled, "Sometimes people know more then they think they do, and it just comes out from the heart, like you said." Ondrea said this, finding it funny that they both used the term 'from the heart' it seemed like something a wise old teacher would have said, or something.
"So we can't be spending all night talking about me, what about yourself, where do you come from? How old are you?" Ondrea asked, in attempt to change the subject.

Rezna allowed the change of subject, hoping it would make Ondrea more comfortable.
"I'm fifteen and from the US," she replied. "It's interesting that although I've lived in the muggle world all my life, I know a great deal about the magical world. My family has had a rocky line of witches and wizards. Usually there is one witch or wizard per generation, the others are squibs. My brother is one, and so my parents live there for him. It's a weird perspective, seeing both worlds as normal when everyone else picks a side."

Ondrea was pleased that the subject had been successfully changed, and smiled at Rezna.
Ondrea nodded, "Cool, I come from Canada, although for about a year I lived in the states, and I also lived in Quebec for about two years," Looking down at Shadow, "He inherited their accent... Sometimes it confuses me, since he only lived there for two years or so, and I don't see how he could have such an accent..." Ondrea trailed off, "I don't know much about the magical history in my family, as far as I know they all seemed to be muggles, I didn't even know I was a witch, until the day I had received the letter, when I was eleven, but I couldn't come until now, at age fourteen, I wanted to get my sister first." Ondrea didn't go into further detail about how she didn't get her sister, but had to come to MH anyway, she saw no need for the explanation, "It must be weird, to see both sides so normal, and familiar, especially because everyone around you either finds magic completely strange, or muggle things weird... I suppose I kind of know what you mean though, since I was grown up in a muggle environment, but now I am so used to magic, it is normal for me."

Rezna nodded, understanding what the other meant.
"I grew up with magic in the muggle world. For me, neither world was divided from the other. Our house had so many charms on it deflecting muggles' eyes from it's magical qualities we could use magic inside as freely as we do at school. I went to school for eight years with only muggles, and I guess I got used to their world there. Now that I've found both to be normal, it feels a little weird having only magic around."
A sudden smile broke out on Rezna's face, remembering her house and her weekends that she got to spend with her family. There were many crazy stories that came to mind, just talking about them with Ondrea. Somehow, it was a pleasant feeling when before all she felt was homesickness.

Ondrea nodded, "Must be strange." she said agreeing.
Ondrea smiled, it made her happy to see Rezna smile. Suddenly remembering that she had a bag of chips in her back-pack, she reached for her bag, placing it on her lap. She quickly un-zipped it, and then took out the bag of chips. Opening it, she put them between Rezna and herself, "Help yourself." she said, taking a handful, and plopping one of the crispy chips into her mouth, "Aha! I think they are ketchup chips, I forgot what bag I had put in there." she said, remembering that she had taken out the bag of sour cream and onion chips, which happened to be her favourite kind, "Too bad." she said, plopping another one into her mouth.
"So how long have you been here for?" she asked at random, the question just came to mind.

"Thanks," Rezna told her as she reached for a few chips. Sitting in the night air had refreshed her, and made her hungry. "I've never tried this kind before, but I like them."
While eating, she looked into the darkness while trying to recall the date of her arrival.
"I've been here for about three weeks, or perhaps longer, I can't quite recall. I think it was sometime in July. No matter, I guess. What about you, Ondrea? How long have you been here?" she asked her friend with a smile.

Ondrea nodded in surprise, she had assumed that Rezna had been there for a while, since she seemed to had known this place pretty well.
Ondrea shrugged, "I think I have been her for about a month or so, it is a wonder we have met eachother before." Ondrea said, "I don't even recall seeing you around, until now."
She looked back up into the stars, plopping another chip into her mouth, "You seriously haven't tried this kind before?!" she said in surprise, "Well it is good that you like it." she said smiling, putting another chip into her mouth, it crunching as she ate it.

Rezna smiled and reached into the bag for another chip.
"Well, I don't usually hang out in the astronomy tower. I prefer the lake, or just our common room. I'm sure if we were in the same house, we'd have seen each other sooner," Rezna replied with a smile. "I think you told me earlier that you come here often. Perhaps I will too, if you don't mind."

Ondrea forced another smile, though it was willing, just not a normal thing for her to do, "I love the lake... I just haven't been there as of late, I used to go there all the time, but then one night I found myself here, and have been coming ever since," Ondrea nodded, "I don't mind at all, and even if I did, who would I be to say that you couldn't come? It might be nice to have some company every once in a while, company that isn't going to hurt me at least." Ondrea said the last bit without thinking, but shrugged it off, she had been saying a lot of things without thinking, Rezna was probably used to the absurd things she said.
Letting out a yawn, she stroked Shadow, who had been quiet for quite some time, he gave a loud breath, and then rested his head, and fell into a light doze.
"So Rezna, what spells do you know?" Ondrea asked, it was a question that just popped into mind, and it would keep the conversation going.
