Ondrea played with her necklace, wondering if she should pierce her nose again, last time she didn't do it properly, but she had gained practice, and thought she could do it right this time; but stopped thinking about her piercings when Rezna asked her a question, "Better then humans." Ondrea said truthfully, since she thought that animals where the best thing that happened to her.
Ondrea then looking at Rezna, wondering whether or not if she should tell her about her hippogriff, and decided since she did not know her well, and that most humans could not keep their mouth shut, that she was not going to say anything about him, "Yes I do, maybe it is not exactly a pet, but some would call it one, my pixie, I just got her lately. Oh, and I have a frog, but no one has seen it, for they would be too ruff with him, and I would not let him die like that." Ondrea said, the thought of her frog dying made her sad.
Shadow laughed, "I do not know what you see in that despicable creature, Ondrea, other then its colour, rare indeed."
Ondrea sent Shadow a glare, "In that case, I wonder what I saw in you." she said, Shadow had not made her in the best of moods.

"Better then humans," Ondrea said in the dark.
Rezna was hardly surprised to hear those words. She could almost sense a sort of dark shadow around the faerie before her.
"I'd consider a pixie as more of a companion than a pet. The same seems to apply to Shadow here, for he is hardly a pet at all. A pet you simply care for and he shows affection with the soul purpose of receiving more food and care. A companion, however, returns your affection knowingly, hence the intelligence. I know that my darling Diamond is far from intelligent, but he knows more than your average cat. Or I like to hope so, for who knows what goes on in his head."
Rezna grew quiet, wondering if she should give up on upholding the conversation. 'Perhaps leaving would make Ondrea happier than with me around,' she thought. As the silence between them stretched, Rezna could not help but wonder about the mysterious girl that sat on the bench, her knees under her chin, cat by her side.

Ondrea looked up at Rezna, wondering if this girl was a good person, but somehow she thought that she must have some decentsy in her, if she spoke so wisely about animals, "I must agree." Ondrea said cooly, as she looked at her feet, that she lightly tapped in the ground.
Shadow spun his head around, "That is the nicest comment I have heard from you all night." he said in a slighty happier tone.
"I do not think I have even seen you around before." Shadow said, trying to make convertsation, after the long silence.

Rezna turned to Shadow, assuming he was talking to her.
"This indeed is my first time up at the tower. Usually I'm not that fond of heights, but tonight seemed peaceful enough, and I couldn't sleep. One thing led to another and I found myself climbing those steps. In a way, it somehow felt right to come here," she said quietly to the cat, a small smile on her face.
The boy ran farther into the maze, leaving his sister stumbling behind. His figure disappeared, she lost him. Her dream played through her mind again, and her smile dwindled down to a frown. Trying to stop thinking about the silly dream, Rezna turned her attention back to the cat. She was grateful for his input in a conversation, for the awkward silence was haunting.
"How'd you-?" Rezna's voice seemed scratchy so after clearing her throat, she repeated, "How did you know that I never came up here before? Can I assume you're here often?"

Shadow nodded, "Ondrea tends to run off on me every night, and I always seem to find her here or at the lake," Shadow said, "So yes, we are here often, not many people come up here this late at night, it is a wonder why you are up here." Shadow said, trying to press on the conversation.
While Shadow spoke, Ondrea took in the look on Reznas' face, it wasn't a happy look, but a familiar look, she was about to speak, but decided she would keep her mouth shut, it was not her place to ask personal questions.

Rezna gave a small smile. "Well, perhaps I should come up here earlier, so that I don't disturb you next time. For indeed I plan to return. I know what it's like to have other's invade your space, and I'd hate to do that to you, Ondrea," Rezna said softly as she looked at the girl. She felt less ostracized but she still worried that she was making the other girl uncomfortable.
The blonde girl never had any time to be alone, any private place that was only for her. She valued the quiet, the peace, and could see that Ondrea did so as well. The two girls were quiet different, in appearance and perhaps basic personality, but there was something similar there still, something that was only touched on by a look in either's eyes.
Rezna's green eyes were forever shining with happiness and warmth. However, when sad thoughts enveloped her body, that shine turned to that of the stars, white and dull, cold almost. It was that look that was unconsciously entering her eyes, and Rezna blinked it way. She offered both Shadow and Ondrea a smile to show that whatever she was fighting internally had nothing to do with them.

Ondrea quickly looked up at Rezna, feeling bad for making Rezna feel unwelcome, "No worries, I don't mind you being here at all. It is good to come up here late, if you want some alone time. Anyways, don't let my unfriendliness stop you from doing whatever you want to do, I am not the boss." Ondrea said, "So you could come up here even if I did mind." she added in, trying to make herself actually understandable.
Ondrea was pleased to see Rezna smile, and without thought, words came out of her mouth, "What is troubling you?"
Ondrea slapped her hand over her mouth, "Sorry that was very rude." Ondrea said, picking up her journal, and starting to scribble the rest of her song down.
Shadow shook his head, "Weird one, she is." he said, Ondrea heard what he said, but did not bother to argue, for she knew she was weird.

"You're not unfriendly. Distant, maybe, but not unfriendly. And no that wasn't rude in my eyes," Rezna said, as she took a seat next to the girl on her bench. "It really is a valid question. And Shadow, you really should stop putting Ondrea down by saying she's weird. Sometimes what she may do is strange, but other times, especially just now, she was being nice, caring. There is nothing wrong with that."
The Hufflepuff's tone was gentle and grew softer with every sentence. Her last words were barely above a whisper, although she was sure both of them heard her. She knew she didn't have to answer the proposed question, but somehow she did not wish to avoid it.
"You may find this to be stupid or silly, but I've been getting horrible dreams. Dreams of loss, and many of them keep plaguing me at night. I know that dreams are of little consequence, but I can't get them out of my mind. They force me to grow distant from those around me. Other times, I feel as though I'm detached from my self all together. This of course hardly ever happens in the presence of others, but that does not mean that it does not happen at all."
Rezna stopped, seeing that she was probably making no sense what so ever. During her small speech, the girl's green eyes had become dis-focused and drifted into space. Now, she had brought them back to earth, and allowed the shapes of Ondrea and Shadow reform.
"Forgive me, I shouldn't have said that much. After all, my troubles are not yours."

Ondrea looked at Rezna, "I like to be distant." she said quietly, "And I like to be who I am, even if is weird or strange." she said quietly.
Ondrea put her note-book down once again, and listened to what was troubling Rezna, "Hmm... It seems you and I have the same troubles. I haven't gotten a proper sleep for about three weeks now, I am haunted by memor-" she was cut off by a terrible memory that had haunted her.
Ondrea was against the wall, at a funeral, holding her bloody nose. Her father in front of her, "It is your fault she is dead!" Ondrea screamed, facing her father, who then pushed her into the wall, Ondreas' eye-sight blurred, as she slid down the wall. Making-out the image of her father, who had gone to his knees, his eyes filled with tears, "I am so sorry, what have I done to you? I am so sorry, I love you, I love you Ond-" Ondrea had been knocked unconscious. Ondrea came back to the real world for a second, her face blank, then back to another memory Lying on her bed, an image floating into her mind, the same one as the previous, except, this time it went on... "I am so sorry, what have I done to you? I am so sorry, I love you, I love you Ond-" instead of going unconscious, Ondrea lay on the ground, as police surrounded her father, and with a swing of a bat, he was on the ground, blood everywhere- he was dead. Ondrea returned, looking at Rezna, her eyes watering, she wiped them off quickly, and forced a smile, "Just memories, that I wish were never there." she said quietly.
Shadow was quite over-whelmed, everything that had happened seemed to hit him all at once, Rezna telling him off, Ondrea zoning off, (although that was not abnormal) and weirdest of all, Ondrea crying.
"Oh my." he said, as he looked at Ondrea, "It is OK."

"Hmm... It seems you and I have the same troubles. I haven't gotten a proper sleep for about three weeks now, I am haunted by memor-"
Ondrea's words stopped as her eyes became distant and she seemed to be swept off into that very world from whence her memories came. Rezna knew that whatever the girl saw was pure horror for a few tears formed in her blue eyes as the silence stretched after the half formed word.
The 'Puff's eyebrows rose in worry as the seconds ticked by and Ondrea's expression became more and more horrifying. And than, just as suddenly, the faerie's eyes refocused and she finished her sentence as if nothing was wrong. She even smiled, although Rezna could see right through it. Shadow wasn't fooled either, for Rezna heard his worry in his tone.
"Memories are the most dangerous thing we possess," Rezna finally whispered into the dark night sky. "They plague us every moment of our lives, make us relive much of our past. Sadly, it is the bad memories that get clearer and sharper every time they come into our thoughts. If we do not deal with them, then they grow more powerful with each passing day."
She turned to look at Ondrea, her green eyes far away, in her own thoughts, but still seeing through the faerie with no loss to their intense gaze. "Whatever has happened to you must be terrifying. I'm sorry you have to remember whatever it is. I wish there was a way of making it better," Rezna spoke softly as she gently lay a comforting hand on the other's shoulder, "but I don't think anyone can do that but you."

Ondrea looked at Rezna, "Yah it is true, they get worse and worse, sometimes they become clear." Ondrea said quietly, "They are the reason I have lost so much sleep." she said so quietly, you could barely hear her words, as if her memories were near-by and would punish her for what she had just said.
Ondrea stared out to space, her fathers happy face staring back at her, she then spoke in response to what Rezna had just said, "Unfortunately, I can bring people back from the dead. I can not make it any better, no one can." she said quietly, "But I do not wish to burden you with my problems, I should have never brought it up." Ondrea said still staring out into space.
Then looking down at her feet, she pulled out her drawing pad, and started to draw, an image that would not leave her mind, Perfect for getting drawn, if it won't be leaving me soon... Ondrea thought to herself.
Shadow cleared his throat, "You are probably wondering what Ondrea is talking about, and I will tell yo-" Ondrea stopped drawing, and put her finger to her lips, shushing her cat.
"The girl does not need that information revealed to her." Ondrea snapped, looking back at her drawing.

Rezna nodded as her mind pieced together the bits and pieces of a story that Ondrea had revealed to her. Apparently she had lost someone, and the memories of either that person or of the event did not let her alone.
"And don't fret about sharing your problems. If you wish, I'll listen," Rezna said, knowing full well that she had enough on her mind to last her a life time.
As Ondrea took to drawing again, perhaps a way of releasing her memories, Rezna turned to Shadow.
"Please don't share her personal information. If Ondrea wants to she shall do so herself. I don't want her to feel pressured," the blonde Hufflepuff said quietly to the cat. "And forgive my rather curt remark to you earlier. I did not wish to offend you and I fear I might have done so."

Ondrea forced the closest thing to a smile on her face, "Thanks for the offer, but no thanks." Ondrea said quietly, as she continued to draw.
Shadow jumped on the bench also, and settled down beside Ondrea, as if to comfort her, "I know Ms. Rezna, that I have seemed very rude, but there is one thing, I was not going to say it, once I had found out that Ondrea didn't want me to; also, it is quite all right, sometimes Ondrea and I just don't get along." Shadow said, in his normal voice, and then turning to Ondrea, "You are OK, right?" he asked, his French accent kicking in.

Rezna nodded to Shadow's remark. She wasn't going to press the matter for it caused Ondrea some distress. Focusing on the cat's French accent, she let her mind wonder on whether he was from the country or not, and how he had gotten to Magic Horizons.
Glancing out at the stars, memories of a night by the lake with great company and those same stars flooded her mind. This relaxed her a little, but not enough to make her feel wholly better. With every passing moment, a strange feeling took over her body, one that the blond girl had never experienced before. Gazing at the constellation of Ursa Major, Rezna tried to get her mind off her troubles.
The scratching of Ondrea's quill on her parchment made the other girl abandon her search for Cassiopeia and turn her head half a turn to her left.
"Can I ask what you are writing, or drawing by the sound of it?" she said into the night. The long strokes of her quill made Rezna curious. And when the 'Puff was curious, there was little that could stop her from stifling her curiosity, even when she was in the worst of moods.

Ondrea looked up from her parchment, wondering what exactly she was drawing, it was some sort of creature, but not one that exsisted, at least she thought.
Shrugging, she looked down at her paper, then back at Rezna, "To tell you the truth, I do not know what I am drawing." Ondrea let out a sigh, that ended in a little laugh, "Weird I know."
Thinking about the creature that Ondrea was creating, she slowly began to become familiar with it, something from her dreams, but it did not make any sense, it would always gallop in and out of her dreams, out of no where, "Actually, I think it is from my dream."
