It was what she needed; someone to give her a hug. It hadn’t happened for what seemed like an eternity, which was [in reality] only a few hours, and the girl could have melted in Kasey’s grip. She had always felt a little more at home with Kasey than anyone else. Perhaps it was because they were both from Australia. Or that they shared a dorm. Either way, the hug was well appreciated.
But it was as if Carmen was too weak to lift her arms, so she merely let her chin rest on the blonde’s shoulder, shaking both their bodies with her sobs and hiccoughs. She was almost so overwhelmed with Kasey’s love that she missed Ashlle skimming out of the line of fire. A loud thud announced (along with her name being yelled) that Ken had noticed her arrival. When Kasey had given Carmen to Ken’s welcoming arms, it was then that she could breath.
Although her mind was rimming with thoughts of ‘how could you’ and ‘you’ll pay’ for her actions in the common room, she managed to listen to Ken’s words, and spoke in jutted sounds “Well a-at least you’re ok-a-ay,” sniffling and hiccoughing many times. But when he moved away, she only heard a few words, one of which including ‘Headmistress’.
She didn’t need to hear anything more. And she didn’t say anything either. A long silence followed, which the beautiful ghost broke in asking Carmen what had happened. Even though she was dazed out of her mind, with it being rocked by her crying, she managed to find a seat near Ken’s bed and Kasey’s seat. She had been a little surprised that Faye hadn’t managed to explain what happened.
And for the third time that morning, she unravelled what had taken place in the safest of safe places. “Mai came in… a demon,” she elaborated, just in case she hadn’t heard of her, “and began attacking. She stabbed Forgoil with a hot poker…” at that, she shook again. This time, it was from Goosebumps on her skin, along with a sob and a sniffle. “Then… to heal Forgoil, I used the… the… the imperius curse… on Mai…”
It was hard to say, but it was the truth. “I have seen her use a healing thing with her hands, and I made her heal Forgoil, but... She broke out… of the spell… and used the… melted iron… and choked me with it…” Of course that would have sounded strange, since there was no burn scars or wounds left, let alone her voice was still there. “Ken… he did something… I didn’t hear it properly… but that didn’t work either…”
All of it sounded like it was a lost cause, but there was two people who had saved the whole house from certain death; Wyl and Lottie. “She broke Ken’s jaw… and Faye went to lock all the dorms closed so no one else could get out… Wyl and Lottie went to find help… and to get Mai back… I used the… cruciatus curse… then Wilting Rose came in, with Kiki and another woman from the ministry.” Suddenly, her head collapsed into her hands, and she cried heavily, tears running down her arms.
“They… t-took Mai… and took m-me… to Rose’s room…”

The ghost nodded, listening to Carmen's broken story. Clearly she wasn't at all happy with her own actions any more than she was happy about all the things that had happened to force her into a situation to use such spells.
"Here, drink. You will feel better for it. When you have had some rest Kasey can give you a proper looking over and I'll mix up potions and you'll be alright soon enough," she said, passing a cup of water - just plain, cold water - to Carmen, dripping just one drop of violet potion in, meant to calm nerves and relieve stress.
There was probably a little more to the story, bits Carmen wouldn't know. Why had Mai come into the school? Carmen certainly was still troubled or unsure over something, probably something that had happened in the Headmistress' office. Miss Wilting Rose wasn't just any normal Headmistress.
"You can stop worrying about them, I do my best for everyone, we're still waiting for Forgoil to wake up though," added the dead girl as the small violet bottle settled on the tea tray.

ooc: Forgive me; I kind of forgot about this thread. And since I have forgotten it for I time; you all can pummel me if need be.
ic: Death; one of the few planes that will never be truely explored by mankind. Then again; perhaps it was one of the few things that man was never meant to explore, and it could be that the answer was something that mankind wouldn't want to see. What lay beyond the end of the Tunnel? What was just behind the pearly gates that lead to Heaven? The greatest mystery in the entirety of Man's existance on this planet; and the one mystery that man would never solve and attempting to solve would be the death of him.
Though it was a grey cloud over a grey-haired boy's fate; to either awaken in pain or forever rot in the Earth. Those were the options that were available to Forgoil Halifirien; the sole Scot in perhaps the entire school, and member of the House of Hufflepuff. He had fallen into a state that he couldn't break out of, almost like a coma, but different in subtle ways. In his mind, there was a field in full bloom and it was not a young Forgoil that walked in this field, but a grown man at age 23. This Forgoil still had his grey hair, though now he had become even more unkept and scruffier than his current days.
Suddenly voices entered into the boy's mind and he watched as the older version of himself made off toward the noises. Not wanting to be left behind, Forgoil started to run after the retreating man but he could make no headway. Discouraged that he couldn't follow himself, Halifirien slumped onto the grassy field; until to have the sharp teeth of an animal tear through his pantleg. The animal was a fiesty one, but Forgoil couldn't see it because it seemed as if it was made of shadow. Small grunts came from the animal as it pulled him backward, and as he was pulled backward the setting around him began to undergo metamorphesis.
Green fields melted into white nothingness; which slowly began to twist into something that looked familiar. There was a ceiling above his head, and what made Forgoil curious was the fact that there were voices around him. They seemed to be communicating, but Forgoil couldn't make out what they were saying; yet their tones gave away the nature of their words. Were the owners of these voices concerned for him; well bless their little hearts. It seemed that they were worried about him, but it was pointless; he was dying wasn't he? Tears coursed down his cheeks just at the thought, but those tears stopped the minute that something else began.
Suddenly that tugging sensation migrated to Forgoil's stomach and it felt as if something was trying to rip out his digestive tract. Forgoil's body twisted in throes of pain on the bed that he was placed on, but there was one good thing that had come out of this. Forgoil wasn't dead and now he was back in the land of the living. The Scotish boy's green-grey eyes slowly began to open and it took ages for him to take in his surroundings. He first saw the two nurses, Shae and Kasey and mentally made a note to thank them the minute that he was able to. The next person that he saw was Faye and there were others in the room though he couldn't see them from where his head rested.
Weakly propping himself up with his hands, Forgoil looked at the ghost and asked in a whisper of a voice, "How long have I been out?"

"Since you stumbled in until now, about, oh, some six hours I think. Then again, I don't have a watch to keep track of such things," the ghost said quietly in response to Forgoil's question as all sorts of potions flew over to treat anything that might be wrong.
"What hurts? The gashes in your flesh have healed well enough-" she always treated what she could see first, she always had to ask about what she couldn't. "-But you know best the extent of your pain," the dead girl concluded, her translucent hands hovering just inches from the young man, using her sub-zero aura to cool any burning sensations that he might still be feeling after being attacked as Carmen had described.
Turning from the boy for a moment, the phantomess summised that Kasey was probably needed to make sure Carmen was taken care of - since they were clearly familiar with each other - which left Ashlle just this instant.
"Ashlle, will you fetch for me please a damp cloth and a bowl of water to dip it into? When you have those you can give Mister Forgoil here a sponge bath while he gets a full physical examination," she asked, as politely as she could while still suggesting that it would be good to hurry.
It was always a good idea to be quick in the Hospital Wing, particularly when someone was in pain, and Forgoil certainly appeared to be in serious pain.

OOC:Oh! Sorry if I'm late . . .
BIC: Ashlle jumped into action. She retrieved a small glass basin from the closet and a towel and cloth. putting the terrycloths over her shoulder she went to fill the basin with warm water. Once it was half full she returned slowly to the bed not wishing to spill any.
She refused to let he mind take in what Shae had said in full. Giving a sponge bath was the last thing Ashlle would like to be assigned to do, but as a nurse it was required, and Ashlle would do it. At lease Shae couldn't tell her to think about it . . . .
Once back at Forgoil's bedside Ashlle put the basin on the side table along with the towel, dipped the cloth into the water and squeezed it out. However just as she was about to touch it to his skin she paused for a moment unsure of where he aught to be washed first.
OOC: In reality? I'm wondering how dressed he is. Because I can't wash him if he has a shirt on . . . and I'm embarrassed to wash him if he doesn't have at lease underwear . . . . help?

The ghost wondered why Ashlle paused, then realised that sponge baths weren't something that happened on a regular basis in the Hospital Wing.
"Pull off his shirt and work from the neck down to his belt, then clean his face," that was all a sponge bath was really, men cleaned their own private parts when they were able to wash themselves, no one expected an unmarried nurse - or even a married one - to have to wash a young man's privates.
"Then I'll let you get back to that paper work we seem to have come to depend on you to take care of," she joked quietly to Ashlle.
Gently, the phantomess slipped under Forgoil's bed and studied his back through the mattress. It was handy - now and then - to be able to see through things like this. At some point the Hufflepuff boy would need to be rolled over, but not yet.

OOC: thanks Shae! *still blushes anyway*
BIC: Ashlle looked at Shae for a moment like she's asked her to take the shirt off a dragon's chest. But after that she was all business. She put the cloth back down for a minute and undid Mr. Forgoil's shirt buttons, blushing furiously the whole time. Once his shirt was open Ashlle re-dipped and re-squeezed the cloth then -very gently- began to wash him. The cloth was nice and warm and very soft, so that it's touch was soothing and relaxing. When she was done she pat him dry with a towel, and re-buttoned him.
Then -again dipping and squeezing the cloth- Ashlle turned it inside out. "Close your eyes please." she said a bit higher and softer than usual. Once this was done she gently washed his face, remembering to get behind his ears. This too was then patted dry with the towel.
"Ok" she said by way of saying he might open his eyes again. She was still very red in the face, but her voice had come back down. With out a word she put the cloth and towel back over her shoulder, and hefted the basin to go dump it, wondering how in the world 7th year Girl's who had boyfriends managed to put their hands inside their boy's shirts without blushing just a fiercely. She'd accidentally seen them at it and hadn't thought much about it until today.

Coming out from under the bed, the dead girl watched as the junior nurse gave her first sponge-bath, smiling to herself.
"Well done," the ghost whispered into Ashlle's ear when she had finished. She hadn't failed to notice the way the girl's face changed colour to match her flaming red hair as she washed the Hufflepuff boy.
It was an interesting point though, sponge baths didn't happen very often in the Hospital Wing, but they were a good way of finding out if any pain had been missed, because the patient might wince or the nurse might spot something.
The phantomess would have been surprised if she had left much for Ashlle to spot, but if the Hufflepuff winced when the cloth touched a particular area, that would be useful in knowing where there might be further damage beneath the skin.
There was still the young man's back to tend to, her potions had not reached between him and the sheets, and Mai had done some damage to his skin there, and his skin was likely the least of his injuries.
