Kiki watched Rose carefully and smiled at the girl who seemed to be slightly resentful at the entire situation. Her head turned sharply as she heard scratchings at the door, then stood to allow the lycan into the room, offering the wolf to sniff her hands gently. She walked back over to Rose's side and tucked her wand away, looking at the empty patch of bed next to Rose.
"Can I sit there?" she asked, gaining permission before taking a seat.
"There's obviously a few things we need to explain to you," Kiki began, feeling rather out of sorts. Since when was she one to give knowledge to another, particularly the Headmistress? "I think that it's probably best that you know as much as you can for the time being. Wouldn't you agree, Claire?" Kiki looked to Claire for confirmation, her purple eyes still trying to comprehend the scale of damage that might have happened.

Claire watched as Orca entered the room and sniff Kiki's hands. The voice in her head asked the same question that everyone was thinking.
"Orca, everything is going to be OK. Something has happened that we don't know much about, but we will sort it, yeah?" she asked as she looked down in to Rose's now brown eyes and moved her hand on to hers.
"Can I ask you one thing though, please, Orca? Could you please go outside and 'change?' I would prefer it if Rose had humans around for the moment. We don't need more confusion and panic..."
Claire watched Kiki approach Rose and sit on the bed and ask her a question. "What do you mean?" she asked, unsure. "Do you think that we should start drumming her life into her now?"
Claire knew that Rose would have to start from the beginning, learn everything again. But it was too early to start teaching someone about her life. Rose needed to sleep and rest before everything got too much for her.

Kiki looked at Claire, willing her to understand.
"I think we should let her ask questions about herself to just have her somewhat better informed. Or even about the world she's in, so she doesn't stumble unwillingly into danger or lead down the wrong path," Kiki sighed, then another thought occured to her.
"How will we re-educate her in everything?" she asked, not truthfully expecting an answer. She then realised she was talking about Rose like she wasn't sitting next to her and apologised.

Nodding in reply to Claire's request, the white wolf bounded outside the door, and concentrated on returning to his human form. Morphing with surprising speed, the shaggy haired boy stood straight and padded back inside the room, offering Wilting Rose his most carefree smile.
"I'm sorry about that, Rose-dono," he told her, an apologetic look on his face. "But... you don't need to be afraid. I don't bite, I promise."
Turning back to Kiki and Claire, a serious expression clouding normally sunny blue eyes, he asked, "What can I do to help? I'll do anything..."

Claire listened to Kiki apologise to Rose, who still sat quite motionless and lost. The door closed as Orca returned to the room.
"Thankyou for that, Orca. There is something you can do for me, if you don't mind. Could you please go down to the second corridor on the third floor and find the room of requirement. We will be needing a bedroom. It will be safe, comfortable, normal looking and unable to be entered by anyone unless I allow it. Could you do that and then return back here?"
Claire then turned to Kiki, to reply to her suggestion. "I do think that Rose does need to rest, to sleep. We can start again with all of his tomorrow. Once we are quite sure what we are going to do."
It then came to her. Rose would have to learn all of her life and magic all over again. Looking quickly up to Kiki, she said slowly. "She'll have to rejoin the school. It's the only way for it to seem more normal. For her to see that others are learning too..." Claire trailed off.
Rose was going to have to become a student again. Learn from the beginning what she was and who she was. That day she had been one of the mopst powerful witches in the world and now she had no knowledge of anything she was, could do or had done.
"Oh, Orca." Claire remembered, "you will need to permanise the room - make sure it doesn't disappear when you leave to come back here."
Another piece of parchment and another flick of the wand, Claire passed it to Orca. Remaneo. "Say this when you are in the room. and then say it once you have closed the door as you leave."

Amelia shifted backwards towards the door. She had seen and heard too much and had been growing more and more uncomfortable in this situation by the second.
Glancing around the room once more, her eyes rested on Rose, she said a silent prayer for the headmistress and then quickly yanked open the door and fled from the head's quarters.
she knew she would not be missed as there had been no way they wanted her to help; she only hoped she wouldn't get into trouble for having intruded in the first place.

Claire turned to see Amelia leave so quickly. Quickly Claire sent her a message.
Amelia, thankyou for being here. Can I ask you not to tell anyone about this until we know a bit more about it. I will tell the school in good time. I will call upon you, when you are needed. Thankyou.
The door closed behind her, Claire hoped she heard the message.

Rose was getting in a bad mood now. Everybody was talking over her as if she wasn't even there! Didn't she get a say in what she wanted?
"Hey people, I'm sitting right here - can I say something now?" She shot dark looks at both Claire and Kiki. "All I want to know for now is my name, and what the hell I am doing here. I don't need to know anything else, do I? I know I'm a... a witch, so can't I just... magic my memory back? Can't anyone? If magic took it, magic should be able to get it back... is that the way it works?!"
Huffing, she folded her arms across her chest. Too much was going on, and too many people trying to decide her life for her. She didn't know what it was she wanted, or what she was going to do, but she was beginning to feel totally overwhelmed by the amount of people trying to 'help'.

Claire turned to look at Rose. She was right. We hadn't been talking to her, but we were thinking of her.
"Rose, honey, I'm sorry." Claire apologised, "we were just trying to do what we thought was best."
Claire sat moved closer to her and repeated the answers to Rose's questions. "Your name is Rose. You are in this room because it is your bedroom. You are a witch, but we are unsure whether we can get your memory back via magical means. But for now, what would you like to do?"
"We can give you a place to sleep, or we can answer anymore questions you may have. It's up to you."

Nodding in reply to Claire's request, Orca grabbed the parchment, giving it a wary sniff as he did so. He trotted over to the door, and, as soon as he was safetly out of Wilting Rose's site, turned wolf and bounded headlong down the stairs, the parchment clutched gently in his jaws.
Second corridor on the third floor. Second corridor on the third floor... This is it!
The wollf skidded to a halt and gave the door a dubious look before returning to his human form. He peeked inside, noting the room's normal appearance.
Stepping inside, he took a breath, and said, "Remaneo." The wolf-boy couldn't exactly note any visible change in the room's appearance, but the scent of magic scorched his nose, and he immediatly backed out of the room, making sure to repeat the spell after he had closed the door.
He bounded back up the stairs, and stepped into the room, a proud look on his face.
"I did it, Claire-dono," he announced, a cheery smile on his face. "See, Miss Rose, your room is all ready!"

"Thankyou Orca," Claire said as the Lycan re-appeared by the door. She then looked back to Rose, awaiting her answer.

Kiki allowed a small scowl to flit across her face. This is exactly what she had been afraid of. Mind you, she hadn't exactly been talking directly to her, she had indeed played on her ignorance. Kiki also, had tried to remedy her mistake, but could tell that her attempt hadn't really made much of an effect on her best friend.
Another thought nagged at her and she stood up, needing to talk to Claire, but unwilling to want to say anything in front of Rose. She couldn't talk to the Headmistress telepathically, which was a shame, but she could live without it. How much were they going to tell Rose? And how affectionate should Claire be toward her? Considering that Rose was reacting somewhat negetively to the fact that she was magical and had lost her memory, surely telling her that Claire was her lover may not be the best idea at this point?
As this thought occured to her, she crossed the room and stared out the window, hating herself for thinking of the idea. And how to break it to Claire.
She should find some students, she supposed, to see if they could click with Rose. What house should she be in? Ravenclaw, most likely, but with memory loss? Which then would she feel the biggest connection to. Kiki ran an annoyed hand through her hair, then sat on the window ledge, thousands of thoughts running through her mind, wondering if Claire could look in and share some of them.

Claire saw as Kiki rose and walked over to sit at the window. Her face looked anguished. What is she thinking? Claire wondered. Find out.
Closing her eyes, but her face and body directed towarsd Kiki, she burrowed into her thoughts. Claire had not done this in a long time; she had told herself she wouldn't do it ever again as it was not fair. But things were different now, anything was allowed, if it was for Rose.
Listening, and angry grimace crossed Claire's face as she heard the thoughts of the Ministress of Magic. "Don't worry about it, Kiki" she almost shouted, "you don't have to break it to me now, I can hear you."
She knew she was saying this in front of the others. She didn't care. Glancing down at Rose, for now she had risen off of the bed, she saw what she was doing and stopped. Kiki, I know you can hear me. I am NOT going to tell her that we are lovers! How stupid do you think I am? If Rose is never to get her memory back then I know that we may never be together again. I know that. But don't insult me by thinking that I would do that to her. Claire was projecting these thoughts so loudly, she wouldn't be suprised if the whole room could hear what was in her head. Rose is what is important now and I'm sorry if I let slip the occassional affectionate word, but I'm sure that you will call her the same at some point, and she will not know that there is anything between me and her.
Claire stopped. No more. It's not important now.
Sitting back down on to the bed and trying to calm herself, Claire asked Rose if she would like a drink or something to eat.

Claire's reprimand echoed angrily in her head, bouncing off the inside of her mind which was suddenly amazingly empty. She supposed she couldn't have expected anything less than what she'd received and was glad that her gaze was blankly staring out over the grounds. To her credit, she had hardly flinched as Claire unleashed her wrath on her. Kiki knew that in part she deserved it and in part Claire was lashing out at her. She would take it.
She exhaled shakily, allowing the weight of the repimand to be released, then had a shot at speaking to Claire telepathically.
'Surely you did not honestly assume that I thought you were stupid? I have way too much respect for you to even consider the thought. I was merely mulling over the fact of affection, on both our parts, if you had lingered in my thoughts long enough. Should we both try to remain friendly with Rose, try to treat her as another student so she doesn't see any special treatment, or what? I know this will be hard, especially for you, but considering we are almost in the same boat, let's not get so angry with one another.' She hoped that the calmness that was intended with the words broke through. Deciding to keep her eyes fixed on the lake, she waited for a gesture from Claire for her next move.

Claire looked up as she started to hear the words that Kiki sent back. Listening carefull, she did not move an inch.
Kiki, Claire replied, Rose will have to be a regular student. No one will be allowed to treat her differently in any way. She will be a student, it is inevitable. She will have to start from the beginning.
Claire stopped abruptly, not wanting to keep talking like this, but Kiki and herself would have to talk - sort out some details.
Opening her eyes and givin a quick glance to Kiki who was still staring hard out of the window, Claire looked back to Rose.
