Anna looked up with a suprised look on her face. 'that's okay I guess... it was a pretty cool show... I don't know if it's worth it though.' she thought. She looked over at Rezna to see what her reaction was. Anna took out her class stuff and then looked back up at Professor Azrael. She bit her lip as she waited to see if the culprit would turn him/herself in.*

Detention!
That was the last thing that Forgoil wanted now; he had so much to study for his other project, and he didn't need a detention to add to this. He wasn't playing attention to the fireworks that had flown around the class, but the Professor's harsh and mocking tone was what did get his attention.
He looked around the room to try and guess who had done the deed. No one that he knew there placed themselves in his mind as tricksters of any sort. He hoped that the culprit would turn themselves in or tonight could prove to be a very long one indeed,

Rezna's laughter subsided as the Professor's harsh clapping echoed through the room. His threat of detention hadn't scared her in the least, she had never been in detention, muggle school or otherwise, but figured that she wasn't going to be his favorite student anyway, so maybe this threat to her or her classmates wouldn't be the last. After all, she liked light, pranks, jokes, and laughter. He enjoyed the dark, sarcasm, and was as cold as lake water under ice.
Scanning the classroom, she saw many of the students' worried expressions. Whoever had done the deed had cheared her up and now feeling reckless, she didn't want to ruin the rest of the classes good chear. Hoping to get to the real lesson quickly, she decided to end the blaim game then and there.
"I will take that detention Professor," Rezna said getting out off her seat. "I'd hate to ruin everyone else's happy mood."

Jenna seemed stunned at this girls willingness. It's unfair for her to have to take all the blame... Jenna actually considered for a moment telling on Hayzie, but she didn't. After all, Hayzie had tried to save her a few nights before hand.
"Professor. I, too, will take the blame." Jenna was so stupid; just coming out and saying that. But she didn't really mind getting a detention. She had gotten many at her old school.
In fact, she now felt rather proud of herself. Even though she wasn't the first to do it (she had never been a leader), the rest of the class would still get off. Jenna awaited what the professor's reply would be.

Haycee was shocked when the fireworks went off...she did not "see it coming" as the fireworks had spelt out. Haycee was not in the least bit amused...in fact, a look of horror crossed her face. Since this was her first class at Magical Horizons, she had wanted it to go well...and after the professor's harsh introduction, she knew he would not be amused with the prank either.
Sure enough, the prank had earned the entire class detention and Haycee suddenly felt like crying. Ugh...I'm going to drop this class if these stupid people want to get innocent people in trouble! That is so not fair! Haycee was now feeeling anger towards her classmates, wondering which one or ones were so inconsiderate of the rest of the class that they had pulled a stunt like this. Then she remembered how Persephone said she liked to pull pranks on teachers. Persephone...I bet this is her doing! And I thought she was my friend! And a Ravenclaw! If it was her, she better fess up to the teacher! Haycee looked around the room, trying to figure out who it might've been...as if she could tell by just their faces. Haycee sat in angry silence, feeling betrayed and unfairly treated. Whoever it was better fess up! Whoever it was better fess up!, Haycee thought angrily.
Suddenly, Haycee heard a girl say she'd take the detention. And Jenna had followed suit. Haycee's anger quickly turned to shock. She only wanted them to take the detention if they had actually done the deed, and this was something she wasn't sure of. Her anger now softened, Haycee continued to remain silent and await the reactions of others.

Though she felt that the people taking blame weren't the ones responsable, she showed no outword signs. Inside, she was yelling. Whatever happened to honor...this is discrase

Post by Teagan on Jul 30, 2005 4:29:26 GMT
Apparently, the teacher wasn't amused by his little test. In fact, he was being quite a jerk about it. Professor Azrael slowly and unpleasantly clapped his hands. How awkward, observed Teagan. Her blood-like eyes followed his stressed movements.
Eventually, the applause subsided, and the professor spoke in a cold, menacing voice. He appeared to very affronted by the little game. "That was absolutely brilliant, I never thought this class capable. I have to admit, you had me absolutely caught off guard, I never saw that coming. I did, however, have a vision of the future which must have overshadowed this small event. What I did see coming in the near future was an entire divinations class held for detention. It was........ most unfortunate that the class happened to be... Why, it happens to be this very class! Now, I am not one to try and tamper with the future as it is, yet I do believe this situation could be easily remedied should the culprit, or culprits, responsible be revealed." A malicious smile peeked out from his tightened lips.
Ah, yes. He is very pissed, Teagan pointed out the obvious with a blase` tone in her thoughts. She really didn't care about the teachers, merely the subject at hand. She patiently waited for class to begin. How much time had already been wasted? She knew it had to have been at least ten minutes, but the show had only begun.
A few unglamorous students glared at the others around the room. Teagan met their inflamed gazes with her own, though hers had a more lethal look to them because of their odd color. Were they such puppets that they kept loyalty with those that they even possibly despised? Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.
"I will take that detention Professor," said a Hufflepuff girl now standing up from her seat. "I'd hate to ruin everyone else's happy mood."
Another girl soon spoke, this time a Gryffindor. "Professor. I, too, will take the blame." This one remained sitting.
Next, it was a Ravenclaw girl that had caught Teagan's attention that looked even more upset than the teacher: Haycee, the other student she had met at the beginning of class. Her face was full of despair and anger. Foolish, Teagan muttered quietly in her mind. Now she knew there was a reason that she hadn't been impressed by Haycee. As the others decided to take attentions, Haycee became silent, and rather shocked. Hm. I guess we don't impress her either, thought Teagan wryly. This had most certainly been the best class she had come to. The difference in this classroom that marked it from the others made it even better than the Candy Land charms classroom.
In the old times, Teagan would have been the one to make the prank and take the blame. It was a hobby that died out a few months before she left home and went to Magic Horizons. Her loss had caused a rapid irreversible change; a part of her soul had become deceased, along with the others' vessels.
Teagan's smooth hair quietly gleamed in its rich color. A section toward the front elegantly trailed over her shoulder and down the front of her blue and bronze robes nicely fitting every curve until it ended near her waist.
The class blaming, glaring, and unneeded tension was annoying and an entire waste of time, in her viewpoint. It would be a need to be ridiculed if several more people took blame, and accepted the glory of the famed artist.
"Professor Azrael, now that you have the culprits, may I ask that the class soon begin?" asked Teagan quietly, but clearly enough for many to hear. Her tone was innocent, and showed no aggravation; it was sweet, but calm at the same time. Fortunetly, she had spoken politely, and gave off no offence. After all, students had already chosen to take blame and punishment in the "crime" at hand. There was no need to use up any more precious time.

Post by Hayzie on Jul 30, 2005 14:09:33 GMT
Hayzie's face had been of the utmost innocence as the Professor put forward his reaction to the little greeting she had given him, but turned quickly into wide-eyed shock as he gave the whole class a detention, and even more so when people took the blame... for her?
Of course, as far as she knew, no one apart from maybe Sylph, knew that she had put the fireworks there. Teagan probably had a small idea, but Jenna had taken the blame for her? And one of the Hufflepuff girls. As soon as the words left their mouth, an overwhelming sense of guilt filled her. How could she have let them take the blame? No... she wouldn't. The blonde had just opened her mouth to speak when Taegan asked if the class could be continued.
It looked like her own confession was going to have to wait until the end of class. Biting the end of her sugar quill, an almost guilty look fully visible in her eyes, Hayz waited for the class to begin properly.

Rezna had expected some sort of reply from the teacher, but hearing none but that of other students she sat down. Feeling anoyed, she looked at the other girl who had taken the blaim with her. Rezna knew that Jenna had made the decision on her own, but Rezna had planned to have some fun with their professor during her detention. She knew that in her reply she had not taken credit for the beautiful prank, that would have been immoral; she had only decided to serve the detention alone, and not with the entire class.
Taking deep breaths, she calmed herself. This class was turning into some circus show instead of what it was suposed to be, a class. But she had expected as much, being in a magical environment and all.
Hearing someone up front remind their dear professor that they indeed were in a classroom waiting for class, brought her temper down some more. She wanted to see what he had to teach them. In any case, Rezna could see that it would not be enjoyable.

Anna looked over at Rezna as she took the blame for the fireworks, that Anna knew for a fact she should never put there. Then she heard a voice and turned and saw another girl taking the blame, whom she also didn't think did it. 'Can't the real person just come clean!?' she thought. Anna heard someone ask the teacher if they could start class, so she turned back to the teacher and waited to see what he would tell them.
(ooc: can we start the class?)

Aylen was busy making faces trying his hardest to amuse himself when the commotion of fireworks startled him, causing him to crack his head on his desk. It took him a while to realize that the stars in his eyes had nothing to do with the fireworks. He opened his mouth, about to let out some serious steam when he realized the class was watching the professor attentively. Somewhere in the back of his mind, it registered that the entire class was being offered detention for the prank. Man ,this teacher has no sense of humor. He looked towards the closed windows again and sighed.
Suddenly, a seat beside scraped backwards as Rezna confessed to the crime. Aylen gaped a little, but then closed his mouth. He never would have thought Rezna would be up for this type of thing. He and his sister must be rubbing off on her. A second seat was pushed backwards as the occupant also confessed. The redhead sighed. Whatever they did wasn’t his problem. He only wished for this class to be over.

Anna looked over at a red head boy who had just cracked his head on his desk. 'ow.' she thought. "You okay?" she whispered to the red head. While she waited for a response, she turned back to Professor Azrael wondering if he would start the class or not. 'How long is it going to take until the class actually started.' she thought and sighed. She dotted her quill with ink and made dots all over a piece of parchment.

Persephone had almost fallen out of her chair at the thought of detention and was astonished someone fessed up so fast. Still, she was a little concerned about this class.
At least I don't have another detention... Still she was worried. This was a horrible start to a class, and she worried that Haycee would get mixed up in something awful.
She doodled on her parchment as she waited for class to begin, but sent a troubled worried look to Forgoil.

OOC: Due to the teacher of this class being removed from their position, I have had to lock this class.
I was going to award points to every student who completed an assignment, but there does not seem to be an assignment set! So, I will award 100 points to each house.
