Haycee smiled, although she was surprised that Jenna had read her mind so well. Haycee enjoyed talking to Jenna, but at the moment couldn't think of anything to say. She waited a moment and just smiled, hoping that maybe Jenna would think of something to talk about next.

The conversation with Haycee had been very enjoyable thus far, but no one was talking right now. "Do you like the library?" Jenna asked as this was the first question to pop into her head. "I love the library myself, all the endless topics and so many books no one has read yet! So what about you?"

Haycee laughed a bit. "Do I like the library? You're asking a Ravenclaw! Yes, of course I like the library...I love to read and the fact that the library has a ton of books is awesome!" Haycee smiled brightly.

"I completely agree!" cheered Jenna. It was rare for her to find someone who shares her emense love of the library. "What's your favorite topic in there?"

"Hmmm...I think I'd have to say Astrology." Haycee said. "I love anything to do with stars...I love looking up at the stars at night." Haycee said.

"Yeah, astrology is nice," agreed Jenna, "I often sneek up there at nights. I get caught a lot though... But I would have to say alchemy is my favorite. There are a lot of great books in there about it!" Jenna grinned.

"Yeah, alchemy is a good subject too. Do you go to the library often? I like to go there every now and then, just to relax and read in peace."

"Are you kidding me!" exclaimed Jenna. "I go everyday! There is a nice, sort of dusty table in the back that most people don't even know about. I go there on early mornings and late nights. It's so peaceful and most of the books are no younger than 50. The library's like my scanuartry. But I'm not like a geeky type," added Jenna hastily.

"That's OK, I know what you mean. I like the library, but I also like to go other places too...like the lake and Hogsmeade and other places, so I try to divide my time up to be in all the places I want to be."

"That must take a lot of self-control," grinned Jenna. "I go to Hogmeade only once in a blue moon, but I go to the lake at nights. I also like singing in the Dance Hall!"

Post by Lord Azrael on Jul 26, 2005 17:38:32 GMT
Azrael watched silently as the class had assembled themselves. It seemed a fairly decent class, given that one or two students seemed to have issues with keeping their balance. At least, it would have been for a teacher who was enthusiastic about their job. Azrael simply cursed himself softly for every deciding that teaching was a good way to go in life. He had almost hoped none of his students would even show up but alas, he thought, letting out a sigh, here they were.
Standing reluctantly, he walked around in front of his desk, taking a bit more time to examine the many faces in his classroom. "I welcome all of you to your first divinations class," he said, "I am Professor Azrael, for those of you who don't yet know me. As for your own names," he paused for a moment, looking once more over the class, his gaze lingering on aidana for a moment before moving on, "If I do not already know, then I do not care to know at present and shall figure it out when necessary. Are their any questions?"
Before giving anyone a proper chance to respond to this question, he continued on, "Now, I have learned from my experience that people either completely despise divinations or absolutely adore it, with little middle ground between the two. Although I realize that some of you might prefer to be out right now doing......other things...." with a flick of his wand, shutters swung shut in front of the small windows in the room, obscuring vision outside and giving the classroom an increasing feeling of being a dungeon, "right now we are here for one purpose, me trying to teach the lot of you some skills you might find useful later on in life."

Rezna looked up as she saw their professor get up from behind his desk. With a sigh she walked back to her seat as he began to speak. The bored expression on his face was clearly seen all the way to the back of the classroom.
Yet his indifference to his students caught her off guard. Already, she knew that not assigning them books was done for his benefit and not theirs. And the worst thing was that he seemed to be one of the people who hated the subject; that brought Rezna's excitement down a few levels. She was not overeager to start the class at that point, wondering what on earth he had in store for them.

Aylen's conversation was suddenly cut short as the professor introduced himself and slammed the windows shut. The redhead had a sudden bout of claustrophobia as his beautiful view of the sky was blotted out and slunk down in his seat. He promised himself to ask Aidana about this teacher, as he seemed to know her, and slouched even lower into his seat. Dinvination never was his favorite subject and judging from the enthusiasm of the teacher, it wasn't going to be for a long time.

Haycee stopped her conversation with Jenna when at last the professor spoke. When Haycee heard the professor speak of not wanting to know the students names, she was shocked. He doesn't want everyone to introduce themselves? But surely, he can't mean that...it's the first class and that would be very...unfriendly. Haycee watched as the professor shut all the windows in the classroom. Well, that's unneccessary...wow, he seems to be in a really bad mood. It was becoming apparent that he was probably not the friendly type, and Haycee began to regret signing up for Divination.

Anna smiled as a boy made the same type of entrance that she did. Rezna introduced him as Alyen, Aidana's twin. "Yeh, I see the resemblance a bit. Hi!" she said as she shook his hand, "It's nice to know I'm not the only klutz that trips as an entrance," she smiled as she finished. She heard the professor's voice, so she followed Rezna back to her seat, and took the one next to her. Anna watched as her closed the window shades, and spoke. 'He seems a bit moody..' she thought.
