Raven had walked in with the class and seemed a bit lost. She didn't like team assignments, usually everyone would find a partner and leave her alone so she got use to doing the assignments by herself. Rave quietly walked up to the teacher's desk and looked at him blankly.
"Professor." She said quietly, her voice having a sweet sound and tone. "Would you mind if I did the assignment by myself? I believe everyone is already teamed up with someone else."

[glow=purple,2,300]I know, but I..I really wish I could've. I'm sorry Lumi... Dovie gave a meek smile and started looking around some more.
"So we have Sagg and Orion, the hunter...What else...There's Pisces, wayyyy...over....there!" Dovie had to rotate quite a bit before finding Pisces, the twin Fish. "And Columba, the dove! Equuleus, the little horse. Lyra, the harp... Okay, I think I'm getting the hang of things now..." Dovie smiled as she pointed at each one she recognised. "Of course, some of these are called different things in my culture, but they're beautiful anyhow... What about you, Lumi? What do you see?"[/glow]

Professor Chambers looked down at the girl. "If you really want to, then sure. But you may join another pair if you want." he said, smiling.

A curly haired brunette seated on Hayzie's other side lifted her head up from her parchment and glanced around with a smile, "I'd like to partner with you Raven, I don't have anyone to work with either. I'm Adhara Naunet."

Hayzie looked up from the piece of hair she had been absent-mindedly plaiting as Adhara introduced herself to someone, and offered to work with her. Shaking her head slightly, the blonde wondered what the Raven would be getting herself in to.
"Poor girl," Hayz whispered, returning to plaiting the front of her hair. However inside her mind, the blonde was plotting revenge against Professor Chambers. This revenge looked to be quite fun indeed.

Persephone smiled. She already knew who her partner would be. Forgoil and her would be a great pair. She moved to face him. This would be easy. She loved astrology, so this wouldn't take much time.

Turning to face Persephone, Forgoil caught the gleam in her eyes and knew that they were to be partners. Sitting next to her, Forgoil said,"I take it you want to be partners? Great! I already have written about Cepheus and Corvus. Now to find three others."

Lumiere walked up to Dovie and brought her note book. She spun around slowly a few times and turned back to Dovie.
"I saw the Pegasus over there, Pisces it right there, if you look at little bit to the right of that girls head you can see Orion, and up there is the Lynx ." She said this pointing in many directions and very logically, with no enthusiasm but she was having alot of fun.
She looked at Dovie a tad confused, "But i cant seem to find Draco....." she squinted and continued, "Do you see it any where?"

"Ah ha!," exclaimed Forgoil,"There is Taurus, the bull!" With five constellations, Forgoil began to write his paper in silence.
Forgoil Halifirien and Persephone DeVone Hufflepuff
1. Cepheus: Cepheus, the king, was king of Ethiopia, husband to Cassiopeia, father to Andromeda, and father-in-law to Perseus. One day Cassiopeia bragged about who her beauty surpassed the Nereids, sea nymphs who attended Poseidon. The Nereids heard this claim and complained to Poseidon. Angered by such a thought, Poseidon sent a flood to devastate Cepheus’ kingdom. Cepheus went to the oracles for guidance and they told him that he must sacrifice his daughter to a enormous sea monster. The tale goes onto tell that Perseus came flying with the winged sandals of Hermes after slaying Medusa, and saw Andromeda chained to a rock with the sea monster getting closer. Flying down to Cepheus and his wife, he made them agree that if he were to free Andromeda and slay the monster, he would be free to marry her. So Perseus cut off the sea monster’s head and saved Andromeda, but Cepheus and his wife reconsidered their decision and told Andromeda not to marry Perseus; but she did. In a later argument, Perseus was forced to take out Medusa’s head and turn Cepheus and his court into stone. Pitying Cepheus and Cassiopeia (but to a much lesser degree), Poseidon set them in the stars as constellations. There are thirty nine stars in Cepheus, but only five can be seen be the naked eye; the brightest star being .Alderamin
2. Corvus: In Greek mythology, Corvus was a raven who served Apollo by being his cup bearer. On one occasion, the raven was flying over a ripening fig tree while he was getting water for Apollo. The raven decided to wait until the figs ripened. It took several days for the figs and several more days for the raven to eat all of the figs. Fearing his master's wrath for being late, the raven quickly filled Apollo's cup with water and grasped a nearby water serpent in its talons and flew back to Apollo. The raven told Apollo about how the water serpent attack him and that was why he was late, but Apollo saw through the lie and cast the raven, the cup and the serpent into the sky. There are eleven stars in Corvus that can be seen by the naked eye; the brightest of these being Gienah. Neighboring constellations include Crater and Hydra (both are associated to Corvus' myth)
3. Fornax: Fornax, the forge, is the constellation in Eridanus. It was created by taking stars of Eridanus, and was named after Antoine Lavoisier by Abbé Nicolas Louis de Lacaille. It can best be seen during December. In Roman mythology, Fornax is the goddess of bread and baking, but is not connected to the constellation
4. Volans. It was discovered by Johann Bayer. It is by Carina and Large Magellanic Cloud. Sailors used to see the constellation where flying fish were present, and this may have been where the name came from. An interesting thing about Volans it that only one of its stars has a planet.
5. Taurus: Taurus is the constellation of the Bull. It comes from the myth of Zeus and Europa. In the myth Zeus sees Europa and turns into a great Bull. He lies down on the meadow where Europa and the other women there pet him. He then carries Europa off to Crete. Zeus places the Bull in the heavens for its faithfulness. There is also another myth in which the Taurus symbolizes the white bull that sired the Minotaur. The Egyptians saw the Bull as Osiris. The Chinese saw the bull as the "White Tiger" or "Great Bridge". In the middle of the constellation resides Aldebaran, a red star that is the brightest in Taurus.
Feeling that he had written a satisfactory amount about the constellations he had spotted, Forgoil paused for awhile; thinking that he wouldn’t give away any important information about himself, seeing how Professor Chambers seemed like the kind of person who would use it to be funny. Forgoil didn’t mind jokes, pranks, or anything of the sort. He just didn’t want anything personal to slip. (as he was sometimes prone to do) Letting a gentle sigh escape from his mouth, Forgoil got back to writing his paper.
Well, I am a typical Hufflepuff, with the exception that I am enthralled with animals and philosophy to a point where it could considered unhealthy. I’m a first year although I am 15 (I don‘t know how that happened, probably because I didn‘t show any potential until now). I love reading, Shakespeare, nature, and fencing/swordplay. I have always looked at the stars and marvaled at their beauty, ecspecially Canis Major and and its double star, Sirius. I am look forward to this class Professor; I hope you make it an interesting one
Greetings Mr.Halifirien, I'm glad you came. I'll trust you to stay in my class then? Good, and don't worry, I will. 20/20
Thinking that he hadn't let any personal secrets be revealed, Forgoil handed in his paper and returned silently to his seat.

I have been infatuated with space since I was a small child and spent many years star gazing and teaching myself the many constellations.
Ah yes Ms. DeVone, Welcome. Healer eh? Well I think you'll be a great one then. 20/20
After she was done, she turned her copy of the assignment in. Thank goodness that's done!

"Your late Ladies." Eden stated curtly. "I'm taking 10 points away from your houses (At the end, when Claire tallies Ravenclaws house points, i'll take 20 away from that.) I think that is fair. Now, you two shall be partners and search this room for at least 5 constellations. Turn it into me when your done."
