Professor Chambers cleared his throat to attract the classes attention. "Okay, time we get started. You can put your parchment, books, quills, basiclly everything besides your wand, away." he smiled at the class's confused looks. "Hurry up!" There was a flurry of activity as students shoved parchment and quills into their bags. "Now, today I want you to partner up and look around the room and correctly find and name 5 constellations. I asure you they are there." he commanded. "This is how you paper should be set up." and with a wave of his wand, his name dissappear and with replaced with other words.
Your Name and Partner's Name House
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
Short (4-5 sentences) paragraph about you
"If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Your assignment is due at the end of class! (I'll post when it is the end, that's when you post you and your partners work.) And BOTH of you have to turn in a sheet!!" and he that, he cleaned his chair of the Ink that Hayzie had put there, and sat down.

Hayzie's scowl turned into a grin as Melody whispered to her. Okay, she didn't know the girl very well, but by the looks of things, if she had partners in crime, then there was no way Professor Chambers could dodge all of them. "Sure," Hayzie whispered back, the grin becoming a little more discrete as the Professor sat down, having wiped the ink off his chair. Maybe this one would be difficult to crack.
However he wanted them to split into pairs for their assignment and walk around the room. This would give the blonde and Melody, who could possibly be a partner in crime, chance to talk, and hopefully come up with some ideas.
Smiling innocently to the Professor, Hayz turned back to face Melody. "Want to partner up?" she asked, her green eyes showing that she didn't just mean for this class. Zee was also welcome to join, but they could only complete the class in pairs, and it would look suspicious if they had a three.
Luckily, chatter in the room began to get louder as people decided who to partner up with and Hayzie turned around to face both Zee and Melody. "How about we meet in the library after classes today? See what we can think up?" she suggested, her eyes glittering.
ooc: Sorry, Melody!! I got confused

Eien shook his head. Hayzie was gathering an army. "This should be intresting." he thought, smiling innocently back at the Prefect.

Hmm.. As the chatter began to get louder as students were allowed to wander from their desks, Dovie asked Lumi again. "I know you better than that...we could mind-talk if you'd prefer as we walk around the room..." Dovie whispered in a calm tone. "Look, there's Orion's Belt..! Which means Orion is somewhere around..." Dovie smiled, pointed with the tip of her pencil, and slowly began ambling in that direction. She smiled warmly at Lumi and tilted her head towards one wall, waving her friend over to her. "C'mon, we actually get to walk around in this class.." Dovie smiled again and gave a slight chuckle.

Lumiere stood up and look deeply at Dovie she wanted to talk so bad she could burst but at the same time she wanted to do what she had always done and not talked about how she was feeling. Dovie was like a sister and Lumiere knew she should talk about what was going on.
"Oh yes i see it also." She said pointing to the same constellation. "Yes, i will tell you what going on but i dont understand, 'mind-talk?" she stated but asked at the same time.

Just think what it is you want to say, and I can hear it... Dovie sent over through her mind. Like that! "Ooh, there's Saggitarius, the archer, too.." Dovie smiled at her friend as she looked at the wallpaper. So what's got ya down, Lumi..? Dovie sent back over, slight worry apparent.

Lumiere was a little speckle(sp) but she trusted Dovie.
*Um well lately i have felt strange. i think i am slowly receiving emotions. i dont truly know if they are emotions but a feel h-happy....and sometimes a little, frustrated. i am so confused. it makes no sense.* As she thought this her face was still blank.

Mel was one of the Students who looked confused when the teacher told them to put their things to the side but she did what she was told. When she heard Hayzie ask if she wanted to be her partner she smiled "sure!" She answered excitedly. She stood up in time to hear hayzie asking her and zee to meet her in the library after class "I'm there!" Mel Replied and walked over to the front of Hayzie's desk catching a glimpse of the tower's sky "a ha!" she exclaimed and pointed almost immediately up into it! "I found it ! I found Orion The Great Hunter!" she smiled "One down 4 to go!"

Orion. There was one of the constellations that they needed. Writing it down on the paper, set out just how Professor Chambers had told them to, the blonde filled out number one, before looking out into the stars. How were they supposed to remember them all? Hayzie could barely remember two!
Looking into the wallpaper, one struck out quickly. Pointing it out, Hayzie said: "And there's the big dipper!"

"Umm Hayzie...." Mel said Quietly "The Big Dipper isn't even a real constellation! Sorry The Big Dipper is an asterism that makes up part of the constellation of Ursa Major, The Greater Bear." She smiled a tiny bit. "Here" she made a circle with her wand on her palm and a book appeared. "See Hayzie Ursa Major (the greater bear) And you see this part of it is what you can recognize in the sky the *Big Dipper* as most call it is just a tiny part of it like Orion's belt is on Orion." she was pointing to the pictures in the book of the constellations as she was talking and closed it when she was done which made the book disappear. "So when you see the Big Dipper just connect the rest of it and you have the real constellation." She pointed up into the tower's sky where the big dipper was and drew lines connecting it to the rest of the constellation.

Teagan put away everything as she was told except for her wand. What use is a wand during astrology class? After Professor Chambers finished giving them direction, Teagan wore a look of dismay. She once again turned towards Starlit.
"Hey, do you want to be partners? I'm not very good at this, though..."

Starlit shrugged, "That's okay. Look there is Libra the Scales. Did you know that one of the stars in the Libra is one of the only stars that appears green." Every once in a while Starlit would blurt out a random fact that she was sure nobody would have much interest in. "Sorry" she scrawled down 'Libra' in dark blue ink. After scanning the room she spotted a few constellations, "What ones can you see?" she asked. Relieved that this class wasn't as hard for her as she had thought it may be. This was her problem. Starlit was smart (not including things to do with cooking). She just didn't have great self confidence.

I bet it has something to do with actually being around people again, Lumi. I'm sorry you were stripped of feelings...I...should have been there, and I wasn't. We'd moved, and my family...I shouldn't make excuses, though, we could have mind-talked or something. Well...not really, but I could have written, though mom didn't like the idea because dad would have... Dovie tok in a sigh and let it out very shakily. I really should have been there Dovie thought as she mentally kicked herself.

Mel looked around the room once more. "hmmm...." she hummed. "there!" she exclaimed "Capricorn The Sea Goat do you see it Hayzie?" she asked. Then turned to look at the prefect watching her trying to make it out. Mel giggled and circled her palm once more and showed her a pic of Capricorn. "you see now?" mel asked. Mel gave the book to Hayzie to see if she could find one and circled her palm once more but this time her quill and a pice of black parchment appeared she dipped her quill into a jar of silver in and started her asignment.
Melody Ravine and Hayzie Roberts Ravenclaw
1. Orion The Great Hunter
Orion, the Hunter, is visible from October through March in both hemispheres. Orion the Giant Hunter or Warrior, he was a giant so tall that he could wade through any sea, His first marriage ended when the boastfulness of his first wife got her banished to the underworld. He was blinded by a jealous father when he fell in love with a Greek princess, but regained his sight when an oracle told him to look into the sun at dawn. When he saw Aurora the goddess of dawn, they fell in love. All was well until Orion was stung by a Scorpion, he fell sick and died. In order to honor him and protect him from his enemy he rises in the east as his enemy, the Scorpion sets in the West. Orion is never seen at the same time as the Scorpion. Orion was used to predict the seasons, a midnight rising of Orion meant that the grapes were ready to harvest, a morning rising meant that Summer was beginning, and an evening rising that winter is here.
2. Ursa Major The Greater Bear
Ursa Major, the Great Bear, is visible in the Northern Hemisphere all year long. Ursa Major is the best known of the constellation and it appears in every reference known. Calisto was changed to a bear because of Zeus's jealousy and transferred her to the sky. This is improbable, as the constellation was already well established before this time. The drawings all show a bear with a long tail, again not likely correct since bears have no tails. The most likely explanation for the bears and one which I find intriguing is the fact that Native Americans called the constellations the bear, but instead of the tail they depict the bear being chased around the pole by seven braves. Ursa Minor is a cub of the mother bear, all of this I find fascinating as it is the same story in Asia, could it be that the stories are similar because of common ancestry or contact between the two races?
3. Capricorn The Sea Goat
Capricornus, the Sea Goat, is visible in early autumn from the northern hemisphere. It reaches its highest point on September 1. Capriconus (the Sea Goat) is one of the most mysterious and ancient of all the constellations. It was known in Pre-Babylonian times as the god Ea. Ea was of vast intellect, the lord of the sacred eye. Ea has appeared on earth four times to educate man in the art of civilization and each time he appeared in human form he wore a cloak with the tails of a fish. Ea saved mankind from a great flood, the same one descibed in the Bible as the flood of Noah. After educating man, Capricornus returns to the waters as darkness falls.

She rolled up the parchment wich made it dissapear and the quill vanished tooand she put the jar back in her pocket and took the book back. Almost immediatly she was spotting them every where but she kept her mouth shut. there was Cancer, and Vulpecula as well as many others like Hydra, Libra, Lupus, Lynx and Pegasus. There was also many more. it was like there was no winter skys and summer skys! they were all there. She couldn't find them all and she found some trhat she reconized but didn't remember the names too but she desided that maybe she let hayzie find one. before she piped up again seeing as they had only 2 spots left. maybe she would find cancer that one seemed easy if she just let her have the book a little longer and point her in the right direction she would find it... hmmmm... "hayzie!" she exclaimed here she gave hayzie the book again and shifted her direction and pointed up "do you see any constalations up there in that group of stars?" she asked hayzie hopeing that she would find it. To mel canser practicly had line drawn between the stars and maybe hayzie would too if given the chance!..........

Zee winked at Hayzie and Melody, then got up to look for constellations. She preferred to do the assignment by herself since, stargazing, for Zee, was a cherished, and private, fascination. Besides, she was used to completing "partner" assingments on her own, she'd had enough experience in the Muggle schools, where she'd been mostly ostracized. She hoped the professor wouldn't mind, but, she was definitely more comfortable working on this assignment alone. Zee decided to start with her favorite, Draco. She quickly located Ursa Minor, and then looked a bit over to see the serpentine pattern. She quickly scrabbled down:
Zee Oddwyn Ravenclaw
1. Draco Thought to be the dragon, Ladon, of a hundred heads, killed by Hercules in order to steal apples from the garden of the Hesperides. The nymphs, not the island chain. I prefer the DragonHeart version myself. This constellation can be found near Polaris, the Pole Star, which is also part of the constellation, Ursa Minor.
Zee rolled the parchment up, and stuffed it in her pocket, then contemplated which constellation she should look for next.
