Lumiere was a little shocked by Dovie's movement and blushed. She thought *Dovie thinks that one like me is, cool??"
She sat next to Dovie and replied with a slight smile, "I took this class because i do like stars. All they do is glow and people spend there whole lives learning about them, some times just wondering how they work or why they are there. this is amazing to me." She reached into her bag a pulled out a black notebook to take notes on the class.

"You're right, stars are absolutely beautiful." Dovie smiled and gazed at the ceiling somewhat whistfully. She looked back down and realised she hadn't gotten her things prepared yet and quickly slipped out a plain notebook and a black-papered drawing pad from her pack. She also pulled out a black ink pen and a white milky pen, ready to sketch the constellations, planets, and stars and take notes at the same time. Ah, how lucky she was to finally be ambidexterous (sp?).

Dovie giggled slightly. "A long time ago, right after the whole...thing...y'know what I mean, with my..well yeah, y'know. I had to so people couldn't describe me to him while I was at school because he knew I wrote with my right hand, and if they told him I was left-handed, he'd get all haughty and exclaim that it couldn't be me, that he 'knew his daughter, and she wasn't a devil-child that wrote with her left hand!' " Dovie did the impression of her father in a deep, mocking voice and shook her head back and forth, a mock look of sternness on her face. She grinned and chuckled then, knowing full and well Lumi might possible remember Dovie's father. She shook her head then, rolling her eyes slightly. "It comes in handy, though, like...now..." Dovie smirked and chuckled a bit.

Zee was sitting quietly at the front, listening with half an ear to the other students talking. Thinking that this would probably be a good chance to get some pictures, she fished around in her bag and pulled out an antiquated camera. She fiddled with it a bit, then started taking pictures of the walls. After a moment, a completely developed picture slid out from a small slot at the bottom. Zee grinned as she watched a small shooting star travel its way across the photo. This one's going in the scrapbook. she thought happily to herself, and fished out her voodoo scrapbook. Using scissors, and paste, she added the photo to a random page. Basically, she was killing time, waiting for the class to start.

Persephone sighed as she watched the other students come in. No body I really know in this class...Her blonde head snapped up as she recognized Kelica coming in. Quickly she wrote the other Ravenclaw a note. Kel, What's up, any pranks to play today? Sephe

Professor Chambers walked up to Hayzie, grinning an innocent grin. "Ah, the prankster has arrived." he teased, secretly slipping his wand out of his sleeve. He then noticed his shoe was untied. "Hold on." he said as he bent down. He quietly pointed his wand at her shoelaces and muttered "Ligo", causing her shoelaces to tie her feet together. "Would you please follow me. I have a special seat up front for you." he said and turn his back on her and addressed the class. "Good Morning Students! For those of you who didn't read the board, I'm Professor Eien Chambers, your new Astrology teacher, obviously. Now, take your seats and settle down." he shouted above the usual classroom sounds. He then walked away, expecting a certain Prefect to scum to his prank.

Starlit snapped out of her daydream when Teagan sat down. Laughing lightly at the joke she smiled, "Yeah... I still think that my name is a real coincidence." Her expression grew more serious, "There are a ton of new teachers. All of the old ones were replaced right?" She didn't wait for a reply since she was pretty sure that she knew the answer. "Anyway, I hope I'll understand this class a lot more then I understand potions. Starlit was bad at both math and especially cooking. Sometimes she messed up even the simplest of them.
Pulling out a piece of parchment and her silver quill she began to doodle in the margins of her page absently, and stopped talking to Teagan.

Mel was sitting close to the front of the room Astrology was her favourite class and like always she seemed to be there for a long time but to those who were right beside her it was as if she had just appeared. She took out her black quill and silver parchment aswell as her Astrology text books and awaited for the teacher to continue..........

Zee quickly put her things away, and turned just in time to see the Professor magic Hayzie's shoelaces together. Zee grinned and waited to see what would happen.

Well it seemed her reputation had preceeded her, at any rate. Hayzie tipped her head to the side a little as the Professor came up to her. A special seat at the front?! Well this had never happened before.
However she had had her shoelaces tied before, and her sharp hearing could hear the Professor mutter the spell considering he was so close. What was it with the SHOES? Professor Divine had targeted them in her class, and now this? She hadn't even done anything.
Leaning back in her seat, and whispering Finite Incantatum (sp?), her shoe laces untied and tied back together with another quick flick. Folding her arms again, and glaring at the Professor's back, the blonde didn't move, making a defiant attempt to stay where she was.
ooc: Hey!!!!!! -whines- since when did they prank back?!

OOC: Since now, apparently. I guess they did their homework.... Our new teachers know how to handle a class. Hayzie, I think you have unexpected competition. ;D
IC: Teagan smiled. "Yeah, I hope you're good in this class, too--that way, you can help me. I can work with you on potions, so we'll have an even deal." Starlit had looked away. She's quite the daydreamer, thought Teagan to herself.
Professor Eien introduced himself and told them to get in their seats and "settle down." Already sitting, Teagan ignored him.
She looked down at her desk, and became lost in thought. Her smile began to fade away into the emotionless expression she usually wore. "So--so what are you thinking about?" asked Teagan trying to make her voice cheerful. She turned back to her friend. Dreams often become realities at one time or another...

She comes out of her thoughts when she notices a piece of parchment on her desk, wondering how long it had been there, she opens it and reads the note from Seph.
She sribbles something and flies it to Seph.
-I have yet to decide on something. This class is going to be pie.-
She pulls out some parchment and a sugar-ended quill and corresponding ink. She stares at the blank parchment while repeatedly dipping the quill into the 'ink' and putting the end to her mouth.

Quietly, Faye slipped into the classroom and took a seat right next to Hayzie. Judging from the stubborn look on the other prefect's face, she found it hard to supress a chuckle as she realized that Hayzie must be up to her old tricks. She quietly placed her books down on the table and then glanced up innocently at the new professor. He obviously didn't know just how determined some students could be to make his term.... interesting.
Astrology had always been one of her best subjects, though she could probably do a lot better if she actually bothered to study every once in a while. She personally preffered going out and having fun, but who didn't?
Turning to Hayzie, she grinned and decided not to say anything. It would be much more interesting to just watch this series of events unwind.
