Ondrea snuck in, she was pretty late for her charms class. There were things floating in the air. Ondrea had never done the levitation charm before since she was so new, and she was a little worried that she was going to make a fool out of herself. She tip-toed over to the box on the teachers desk and picked out a feather. On her way back she smiled at Teagan and Stella, and the new teacher.
"Sorry about being so late, it is not normal for me." Ondrea whispered to Professor Divine.
Ondrea sat down hoping that it would be a pretty easy charm, "Wingardium Leviosa!" she said, her feather hovered for a moment then it fell back down.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" she called giving her wand more of a swish and flick, this time it worked a bit more smoothly.
The feather flew up and Ondrea slowly directed it in different directions. Then she aimed for the box, but the feather missed the first time, the second time it landed perfectly. Being a bit proud of herself she started on her homework.

Merry watched Miss Ondrea carefully. After she'd mastered the Charm Merry came over to congratulate her.
"Good job Miss Ondrea, that was very nicely done! And don't worry about your tardiness, you’re only late when you don't have time to do the work." She gave Miss Ondrea an encouraging smile then made her way to the back of the class.
"Mr. Shinjiki" she said whispering in his ear. "I have suddenly come to the realization that you are obviously not stimulated in this class. However, if I don't know what your capable of that I can teach you anything harder. I just thought you aught to know."
Edit: Oops! Sorry about that . . . There that should fix it.

Sure, why not? agreed Ashlle, getting up discreetly to move to the space next to Dovie.
"What are you having trouble with?" she whispered once she'd sat down. "I think the assignment's pretty straight- forward."
She looked down at her page and realized that, while she did have some very good idea's floating around in her head, none of them had made it down on to the paper.
"You might Talk about instances when you've used the spell or general ways it would be helpful every day." Ashlle suggested.

"I'm fine," Teagan answered Sylph's first questions. She would have said, "Every thing's fine," but it wasn't, not with what had been going on. As Sylph apologized for levitating the box Teagan had been about to grab her object from, Teagan merely gave a light nod. It was understandable, after all. Her red eyes drifted after the airplane.
Billie? Yes, I met Billie, Morgan, and Fuu.... Is this really the time or place we should talk about this? she questioned and, after a few seconds, answered herself. No one appears to be listening. Good thing people like to talk.
"No," Teagan replied just as quietly, "but I met Billie a couple months ago, I think, after I was here for about half a month.... We're only acquaintances, though. I don't know her too well." Teagan would've asked about Dovie, but she had heard enough from other students' chatter to know who Sylph was talking about. Was Dovie a part of this, too?
Teagan's crimson eyes followed the cloth she had once again used the Levitation Charm on. She made zig-zag its way around desk legs nearby. Teagan had perfect control. Good thing, she thought. I use this charm a lot--what I normally use it for isn't going to be on my homework assignment, she reminded herself. Teagan drifted the cloth back into her hands with ease. Though tempted to confuse people, she decided to wait until her homework was finished, and her homework wouldn't even be started until she was done talking with Sylph.
A lazy, gentle smile stayed on Teagan's lips throughout their conversation. The charm had been entertaining to use.

"Ya, i guess your right." Sinjiki sighed. He stood up and rummaged around in his bag. Then, he pulled out his wand.
With a flick and a swish he said, "Wingardium Leviosa!" With the easy spell he used he levitated a large book. As Shinjiki moved his wand the book on Morgans desk came to him as he smoothly moved back and forth. Then he gently lowered it back on her to her desk.
"There ya go Mer-Professor Divine." He smiled in satisfaction.

[glow=purple,2,300] True, but I'm just so...so...mentally drained. Dovie frowned. And I really loathe writing essays and such... She frowned for another moment and pulled out her quill. Guess I might as well, it can't hurt... Dovie thought over. ' Wingardium Leviosa is the levitation spell, and is considered a most elementary skill for all witches and wizards. It may take time to gain full control of the spell, as one can make things fly, glide, or simply float or hover in the air depending on the skilled movements of one's wand. The correct way to pronounce the spell, win-GAR-dee-um lev-ee-O-sa, coupled with the proper swish and flick technique is what makes this simple charm work. Uses of such a charm has a very broad range. One could use the charm while working on a project to help keep things orderly and clean. One could also use such a charm as a defensive maneuver to make a person, or thing, float instead of hitting, crashing into, or tackling another person. It is also comes in quite handy if someone, say an elderly person, is somewhere on their own and are unable to move on their own to fetch something (though in this case, I would expect someone to have either hired a house nurse or a family member to be available for providing care).' "There, done.." Dovie sighed. "I really, really don't like writing. I can never expand my thoughts enough to form more sentences; I'm too succinct sometimes." Dovie smiled and looked over at Ashlle. "What've you got..?" [/glow] Very nice work Miss Bell. Full Credit (=10 Points) Very Professional, you might have a future in the Ministry of Magic if you keep such work up.

"That was very nice Mr. Shinjiki, very nice indeed." Merry smiled at him. Some student just needed a bit of prodding to get them to give their best.
"Nice control on that Miss Teagan, a lovely performance." Merry love this class already, even those who were well beyond the Charm's level were at least giving it a shot.
"Now people, once you've finished with the actual charm, please get to the paper, that's the important part, for that's where you'll earn your points. I know how much you all like earning Points" and she gave them a sly look.

Sylph nodded at Teagan's brief words, relaxing her wand so that the paper aeroplane drifted lazily downwards. Just as it was about to hit someone in the back of the head, she performed the summoning charm ("Accio") on it to bring it back to her. At least that worked well.
She knew Teagan was a little distant, removed perhaps, but Sylph could tell that she was still concerned about what was going on, and for that at least, she was grateful.
"Well, thanks anyway," she replied, almost as softly as Teagan's own voice. "If you want to know more abut what's going on end me an owl or something later on... I think we should get on with this now," she added, gesturing at her empty parchment and quirking a small smile. "Glad to see you're alright, anyways."

[glow=purple,2,300]Dovie was trying to maintain her concentration. But she couldn't; she felt eyes one her... She turned and saw Sylph talking to the girl Alex knew as Teagan. It was odd, seeing the girl she saw in her cousin's mind, and she felt an odd vibe coming from the girl. Does she know about me...? Dovie thought to herself. I wonder what in the world she may have heard, what people are saying about me... Dovie slipped back into a place she never thought she'd be again, the place where she got paranoid and thougth people were talking about her and knew about her somehow...just like when she was a kid and on the run from her father. She shook off as much of that feeling as she could and decided to meet this Teagan. She stood up and softly made her way over towards the two girls. "Sylph, Tea...Teagan...am I right..?" Dovie was very hesitant; she didn't want to be called a freak for knowing things she otherwise wouldn't. She gave a faint, nervous smile and stuck out her hand. "Hello..."[/glow]

Mel being a 4th year Smiled sweetly at the teacher then got up and went to the box and picked up a flower pot. "hmm this should do nicely!" She smiled at the teacher again on her way back to her seat and then sat down. She took out her 8 1/2 inch Willow and unicorn hair wand and placed the flower pot on her desk a couple inches away from the extended tip of the wand. Then she Chanted "Wingardium Leviosa" with the swish and flick of her wand with the chant she was able to raise the flower pot up up up up up to the roof of the class, And carefully lowered it down. She smiled sweetly and the looking faces once more and took out her black feather quill and her silver parchment and began her 2 -4 paragraph essay on what use(s) such a spell would have in your life. Melody Ravine
Charms Lesson 1 Wingardium Leviosa And what uses such a spell would have in my life.
Wingardium Leviosa is a charm that young witches and wizards use to levitate inanimate objects. For i don't think they would dare levitate another human or creature for certain reasons. It is made by chanting Wingardium Leviosa and a special movement of the tip of the wand like most spells and charms. Some have difficulty using the charm while to others it comes naturally.
I myself would use Wingardium Leviosa in my charms class, and for different things here and there. But i prefer to use other spells and charms that are more useful and do much more than a simple levitate. Wingardium Leviosa is a spell that most witches and wizards learn on their first year at a magic school. I myself learned it at Drumstang Before i cam to MH.
If I were an adventure type i would probably use Wingardium Leviosa alot more than i do to move objects out of my path. But I am not and there fore in no hurry and spend my time up in my head drowning in thoughts and there fore i can take the time to go around. But i would say when i first learned the charm i did find uses alot more than i do now most of them i find were quite silly. like lifting the fork to my mouth and then taking a bite!.
Which so concludes my essay on Wingardium Leviosa And what uses such a spell would have in my life. Mel put her quill down and rolled up her parchment and walked up to the teachers desk. "Ma'am" she said softly "I'm Finished. May i please be excused?" she looked up into the professor's beautiful eyes and smiled sweetly once more and waited for her teachers response..... Very small, but very good, Miss Ravine, Full Credit (=10 Points) Very creative use for the spell, eating with it. But I wonder where it is you are hurrying off to?

Ashlle had been about to tell Dovie she had yet to write down anything, but seeing as she was trying to introduce herself to those other Students, Ashlle decided to get to work and then tell Dovie what she'd written. Ashlle Rainier Magic Horizons School Charms 101
The Levitation Charm -Wingardiem Liviosa- is a very useful and basic Charm. It can Levitate almost any object and suspend it in the air. If one is of exceptional skill one can adapt this charm to move said object about in various patterns.
"I personally haven't ever used this charm before (to my knowledge) but I certainly feel it will make, retrieving and putting things away easier. I could also suspend my enemies in mid air so the wouldn't be able to harm me. Also it would make the working classes life much better. Enemies! My my, at your age? Hmmm, nicely brief and to the point. (= 9 Points) Enemies? Are you positive about that? They might just not like you.

Different words kept on catching Hayzie's sharp hearing as the Professor walked away, and across the classroom she could see Taegen and Sylph talking with their heads close together. Smiling a little, she sent over to Sylph... 'Not really the place, hun. Though I know Billie.. she came to me about some stuff a few weeks back. You know anything else?'
Sucking on the sugarquill that had come out of her bag, Hayz began to write her paper on the topic.

[glow=purple,2,300]Loads of mind-speaking and mind-walking abilities in the room, I see Dovie thought out to those she knew would pick up on it. It was starting to bother her, but only in the slightest, and she covered up any evidence of a headache very well. She took in a calming breath and sat down next to the other two girls. Coming over, or..? Oh, jeez, I'm sorry, I didn't see... Dovie looked at the Gryffindor Prefect's shoes. Well, I don't know your name, and I would prefer not to prod, so...My name's Dovie Bell. What would yours be..? she sent over to the prefect. And you know Billie, too..? She sent over. *She sure gets around to making friends...* Dovie thought to herself as she waited for a reply from...well....from anyone, right now.[/glow]

Kyoske rushed into class. He was slightly out of breath "Sorry Professor, i got side tracked." he didn't say on what. That would have caused a bit to many questions which he felt where better left unasked. He moved to a near by empty chair. He looked to see who was sitting next to him. It was the Gryffindor Prefect, he blushed slightly as he began to regain his breath. "Hello Miss my name is Kyoske." he said slowly finally taking in a long needed deep breath.
He knew her reputation was that of a troublemaker. Or more accurately a trickster. He didn't mind those types of people they made the day worth getting up for. He wondered how she toke jokes though, some people could play all the tricks they wanted but if they got hit once with a prank they would flip out on the other person.
He finally stopped thinking of the cute girl beside him and looked at the board. The spell was so basic it seemed funny. A easy grade if there ever was one. Most of the students in the class had learned that spell long ago. Wingardium Leviosa was a very easy spell to cast and get use to after you got use to it the first time. He looked to the rest of the class then to Hayzie "Pardon but is that all for today's lesion?" meaning the spell.
