ooc: sorries!
bic: A mixture of shock and worry flooded Lottie as she saw Silver injured. The gleeful faces of the Ravenclaw beaters was enough to make her glare. Boy were they in for it.
Luckily, she had just caught the quaffle by the edges of her fingertips... the fingertips which a bludger was being aimed at. Narrowly dodging it, the ball skimmed against her knee, but nothing else. That's gonna bruise, she thought to herself, glaring back even more, and not realising the black ball was coming in for dessert.
It hit the back of her broom before she knew it, and the ball left her hand, heading towards the Ravenclaw chaser, who intercepted it.
Lottie managed to recollect her balance mere metres from the ground, and looked to survey the damage on her broomstick. The ball had taken some of the back of it off, leaving splinters at the ends.
But no time to worry about that. They had to get the quaffle back!

Wyl looked uncertain. "You're sure?" He saw the fierce determination in Silver's eyes and shrugged. "If this is what you want, I guess I'll just have to find the Snitch a little quicker," Wyl hugged both the girls then pushed off from the muddy ground, awaiting Claire's whistle to replay the game. OOC: I have to go soon...

Silver tossed a few loose locks out of her eyes as Claire administered a healing charm, and within moments she felt fine again - within another few moments, she was back on her broom and in the air, where she belonged.
As the Quaffle was thown back into play, Silver intercepted it and shot speedily towards the goal, her silvery hair whipping around her face. She was gripping the red ball so tightly her fingers had turned white – she had to score, she just had to. She could feel the eyes of the crowd on her, and rather than cause any self-doubt, she felt a spurt of due confidence as she neared the goal – the Hufflepuff team had not once lost a game, and they weren’t about to start doing so now.

Lottie passed the Quaffle to Silver with an urgent look in her eyes that she interpreted without much difficulty – we need to score, we need to score now.
Feeling the urgency course through her veins, Silver zoomed right past a Ravenclaw attack, ignoring the correct method of swerving and simply thwacking their shoulders with her own, sending them spinning as she shot towards the goal.
She brought her arm back and threw the Quaffle with force – right through the centre hoop!
As the crowd erupted with black-and-yellow cheers, Silver did a celebratory whoop and flew in several joyous circles, then returning to the centre of the Pitch with a massive grin on her face.

Silver has scored once again. ”HUFFLEPUFF 30, RAVENCLAW ARE STILL YET TO SCORE!”

Wyl saw a golden glimmer and shot toward it like mad, heart thumping wildly in his chest. He reached for the Snitch when it bounced the opposite way and disappeared from sight once again.
Annoyed, Wyl continued his look for the Snitch.

Silver passed the Quaffle to Lottie with a huge grin on her face, acknowledging to her team-mate that they were doing well. If there was one flaw in most other House teams, it was that there was never enough co-operation between the players.
Silver flew stealthily behind Lottie, waiting to catch the Quaffle should she be tackled by a member of the Ravenclaws.

Lottie punched the air as Silver scored again. Thirty to none? Surely they had it in the bag. Another grin was sent Silver's way as the ball came back into play. An hour had already gone by, maybe more, and Lottie was frozen. How much longer was there going to be?

Wyl had been circling the Pitch, trying desperately to find that elusive golden glimmer. He was about to give up hope, even though he knew that he’d have to find it sooner or later and the roar of the crowd hardened his resolve. He shot forward, his robes flying out behind him and his glasses pressing gently into the bridge of his nose because of the wind. Hang on, what was that? A golden glimmer? No, just a reflection of a robe in his glasses. Then it happened again. It was the Snitch! Wyl bent low and shot forward, ducking dodging and weaving through the players until he was in hot pursuit. Arm outstretched he reached and then his fingers closed around the walnut-sized ball, wings beating lifelessly against his fingers. Wyl roared triumphantly and held it in the air. They'd won! mgckalhrizn.proboards35.com/index.cgi?board=graveyard&action=display&thread=1089363833

The game was over. Wyl had caught the snitch meaning that Hufflepuff had won. ”HUFFLEPUFF HAVE CAUGHT THE SNITCH! HUFFLEPUFF WIN, 180 - 0 !”

Tears rolled steadily down Silver's cheeks as she saw the fluttering golden ball in Wyl's outstretched hand - they had done it! Again! She could hardly believe it...
She flew down to the ground and embraced her team-mates, sobbing openly with joy. They were the favourites to win the Quidditch Cup now! Hufflepuff would once again have the best shot at winning the Cup!
As she walked shakily off to the changing room, grinning like a maniac, she couldn't help thinking that they must have had an angel watching over them.

Lottie squealed as Wyl caught the snitch. They'd done it. They'd won the game.
Slowly descending towards the ground, the grin on Lottie's face couldn't have got any wider as her feet touched the wet grass, and she flopped backwards, staring up at the sky they had just been playing in.
"Thank you," she whispered, closing her eyes.

Wyl leaped off his broom as soon as it touched the ground and wrapped his arms around Lottie tightly.
"I saw your goal, that was brilliant work!" He grinned at her madly and watched Silver walk off to the rooms.
"Silver!" He called after her. "Come celebrate with us on the muddy pitch for awhile!" The smile could't be wiped off his face at all. They'd done it. His first match as Captain had been a huge success.

After the match had been won by Hufflepuff, frazzled, and quite exhausted Dylan floated down to the dewy grass and landed softly as he took a deep breath.
He tried, and even though Ravenclaw didn't seem to stand a chance against the great skills and close knit friendships on the Hufflepuff team. Wiping beads of sweat from his brow with a towel he recieved from a fellow team mate. Casually, he approached the Hufflepuff Seeker and tiredly smiled while projecting his hand for a friendly shake.
"Well done! Your team did phenominal as did you on catching the snitch. Congrats."
Dylan was completely worn out from such a game, and hoped that the Ravenclaws would do better their next match. They most likely would since they won't have him as a stand-in.
