The bricks of the stone wall behind the leaky cauldron began to shift and move. They slowly but surely made a arch way into a crowded street. The street was called Diagon Alley, the boy was stood in the archway pocketing his wand was named Aridan. His pale skin and stark white hair seemed at war with his light green eyes.
As the crowd died down a bit Aridan made his way toward the bank. The street was packing up again with people. As he passed olivander's wand shop he bumped into a large man. The man looked at him a moment then walked on as if he had no seen anything. Aridan sighed and continued down to the bank.
After reaching the bank Aridan saw a few goblins wandering around aimlessly. He thought it odd that they were doing nothing when they should have been working. But before he could say something to them he was shoved inside by a small group of people trying to get in.
Aridan landed firmly on his back side as he fell threw the door. As he sat on the floor the people around him didn't seem to notice to much that they had knocked over anyone at all. He sighed and began to get up, but due to someone stepping on his cloak he was forced down again. "Can this day get any worse?"

Damned carts. Ray thought darkly, walking away from the goblin that had led her to her vault. She was feeling sick to her stomach and had a slight headache from the damp underground. The only good part was the faint sound of gold clinking together in the velvet pouch tied to her belt.
"Can this day get any worse?"
The words caused her to lift her gaze, scanning the area for the owner of the voice. Spotting someone sitting on the floor a few feet away, she assumed he had been the one to speak. Heeled boots clinked dully on the floor as she walked over to him, extending a slender hand to help him up.
"It can always get worse, child." she said easily, staring at him with shifting pink-purple eyes as she hefted him to his feet.

Aridan looked at the girl who could not be any older then he was. He smiled at her fondly and dusted off the slight amount of dirt on his rear end. Her eyes seemed quiet nice, but also held a lingering trace of sadness in them. He stopped as he gazed into them for a moment. He toke a gentlemanly step back from her to allow her some moving space.
He held out his hand "A child as you said is a label.". His words were clean and clear,"One could have the form of a child but be more mature then the oldest being alive.". He admitted that one made little sense it you didn't comprehend quickly. "And as for forms, your form seems to be younger then my own." he said with a soft and lovely tone.
He was not about to pick a fight with this girl. He had not had any reason to mistreat or feel any other emotion then pleasant toward the girl who had helped him from the floor. "I want to thank you never the less." he said with a smirk. His eyes reading over her's once again. "My I ask your name?"

"My form is none of your business.." she muttered under her breath, not caring if he heard.
Crossing her arms, she stared at his hand with obvious distrust. It wasn't anything personal against him, she was just on edge as of late. The past few weeks had seen her falling into a deep whole of paranoia and anti-socialism. Sniffing almost inpercepticely, she found him ot be no threat, his entire being exuding kindness.
She had once been lively and social, easily making new friends. Placing her hand in his she tried regaining a bit of who she used to be, making her tone friendlier as she answered "Rayne. And you are..?"

Aridan smiled at her "Of course your form is none of my business, all i meant was you seem a tad young to be calling me a child.". His words were kind and a bit playful. He was trying to pull out any kindness she had in her, the sadness seemed to be outweighing it there.
He toke her hand and shook it "Aridan is my name Miss Rayne." he said politely to her, his eye briefly running over her body. She may not want him to but she did like the look of her form. She was a very pretty girl.
"I take it you just got back from getting your money from the bank?" the question was just a line, something to start a conversation, everyone could clearly she she had. "Do you attend Magic Horizons by any chance?". His last question seemed to have a eager almost excited sound to it.

"I'm older than I seem." she replied, a smirk forming on her full lips.
"Aridan.." she said, testing the name as it rolled off her tongue "What an unusual name. Drop the miss, it's much too formal."
Noticing his gaze pass over her figure, she stood straighter pulling herself to her full height. Which didn't even make 5'5. Narrowing her eyes slightly she returned the favor, lazily letting her gaze roam down his body before lazily making it's way back up to meet his gaze. Smiling faintly, she answered "I would think it's obvious I just got back from retrieving some money."
At his second question her gaze grew more guarded, her posture tensed in the slightest. She didn't see any point in informing him of her place in the school, at least not yet. Keeping her gaze averted by a mere inches, she said "Something like that. Not that I ever show up for any classes."

Aridan smiled at her softly. "Yes i guess it is clear you just got back from getting some money.". He moved out of the way of a couple of wizards leaving the bank. He sighed slightly "I don't like crowded places much." he said looking around briefly. As his eyes moved back to her he smirked.
"I am attending that school myself, perhaps you can give me a tour." he spoke with a laugh in his voice, he was being nice anyone could see that, but he was flirting a little bit to.
"Perhaps you would enjoy the school more if you interacted with more people." he said in a mixture of firm and gentle tones. He had noticed her change in posture, being trained half his life in martial arts had given him a keen eye for details. "Is something the matter?"

Pink eyes widened as she realised the human was flirting with her. A smirk slid over her features, and her gaze grew a slight bit menacing. She didn't mean to become more aggressive, but that was how the lycan in her chose to react. Her voice held a faint threat as she said "I doubt you'll like the places I'd show you."
"People aren't all they're cracked up to be. Most of your kind don't like interacting with my kind unless necessary." she muttered, the smirk turning into a frown "Nothing's the matter."

' Most of your kind don't like interacting with my kind unless necessary '
Aridan was intrigued by her statement. She seemed normal enough, but he would feel rude if he were to ask directly about her comment. "My kind? your Kind?" he said softly asking the question not to himself as a normal person would but to the girl who spoke them.
He watched her for a moment "As for not enjoying where you take me, i doubt that." he said with a slight smile and a firm and gentle tone. He looked around to notice a large crowd of people around them, he sighed and motioned for her to move with him.
"Please come over here, the bank is getting crowded." he said with a slight laugh in his voice. He was happy for some odd reason. He looked at her for another moment "So Rayne you going to answer?"

She should have just taken that opportunity to slip away and leave. But for some reason that eluded her, she followed him. A perplexed look crossed her features, reflecting her confusion on why she remained. Normally she'd have left by now, walked away from the human and his questions.
"My kind, lycans. Your kind, humans." she said simply, daring him to react as other humans would. With fear and disgust.

Aridan listened to her speak. Before a word even entered his mind he saw the look on her face. She expected him to judge her, he grew a little annoyed at being thought of as a person who would judge others for no reason. But he knew she probably had to deal with people like that for a while.
He smiled at her for a moment "OK then, why not simply say lycan and human, that whole your kind and my kind sounds weird." he would make a point of making sure she knew he had nothing against Lycans, or any other magical creatures. He looked about for a moment "So tell me, do you hate 'my kind' as you put it?" he said simply wondering if the sudden reverse in roles would confuse her.
Aridan liked the girl, she seemed like a good person but was having a bad time lately. He knew from past experience , that just because someone is having a off day or even a rough patch in life does not mean they will not come out of it normal or even better. "So Rayne wanna go grab a bite to eat?"

"I don't hate humans, no matter how much they irritate me. They hate me." she snapped, not liking the way he made her feel like the bad one.
The glare that had been forming in her now-purple eyes turned into a frown, then a scowl. This human was confusing her with his way of being. He should have been scared or awed, or both. Instead he was shrugging it off like it was nothing strange. Pinning him with a curious stare she said "You're quite the odd one, aren't you..?"
"I'd love to." she answered finally, shrugging off her negative mood. Flashing him a sincere smile she asked "Where to?"

Aridan listened to her as she spoke about humans hating lycans. It was clear that someone had wronged her whether it be human or not, someone had. But she didn't seem the type to be a lair, so she must not hate humans to much.
Aridan smiled as it finally happened, she was out of her mood for now. He waited for a group of very loud people to go past before answering her. "Odd? Now what ever do you mean?" he said with a smile and a little laugh to follow.
He had to think about her question for a moment. ' where to' was the question she had ask and it toke him a moment to think of the answer. "How about someplace different, a muggle restaurant, it would be a change in scenery." he said with a smile "Or a little pub down one of the back streets, it is not very big but it had some good food."

"I have a better idea. Just follow me." she said after a moment, having remembered the little cafe she'd been to earlier in the week.
As the crowd surrounding the doors thinned out, she shoved open the door open and took a deep breath of the fresh air. Assuming he'd follow her as she'd told him to, she wove her way around the groups of wandering shoppers. Circling a family of redheads she turned right walking straight into a darkened alleyway, tossing a glance over her shoulder to make sure Aridan was keeping pace with her.
The alley was in actuality a series of interconnecting alleys that wove around the backs of all the buildings in diagon alley. Damp and shadowy, they were less crammed with the wizarding community. Various stands were propped up here and there, selling different kinds of items from clothes to wishbones and potions. It seemed to be filled with the more shady wizards, the kind that would repel the 'elite'.
Stopping in front of a spray painted brick wall, she said "This is it."
Before he could ask for an explanation, Ray knocked on the wall. Twice- pause, once- pause, then scratched three times. After another long pause a mahogany door appeared were the blue and red paint had been, a sign nailed into it reading 'Cafe Booke'. Twisting the knob, she motioned Aridan in first.
The atmosphere inside was cozy and warm, bright lights and candle flames leaving no room for shadows. Low swing music played in every nook and cranny, seemingly coming from no where. Shelves of books and trinkets made up the first floor, and stairs were located directly ahead of the door leading to the cafe area.
"The food up in the cafe is just heavenly." she said, smiling brightly as she waited for him to enter the little cafe/bookstore.

Aridan followed Rayne closely trying not to lose her in the think crowds filling the Daigon Alley alleyways. He managed to stay only a few steps behind her the whole way. He didn't completely understand where they were going other then to a place to eat.
As they stopped at a brick wall he was confused. He looked around them as a few of the wizards and witches seemed to look like they would enjoy attacking them. He heard the knocks then the sound of scratching.
When he turned around he saw a large wooden door. The door seemed to swing open easily enough. He was sure there was a anti weight charm on it. As he turned his gaze from the door to the room a smile crept over his face
As Rayne said "The food up in the cafe is just heavenly." Aridan looked at the stairs. He then looked at Rayne for a moment and smiled. "Ladies first my dear." he said being funny and nice at the same time. He wondered if she knew this was basically a first date.
