Little did he know that the thought had crossed her mind. It was after all kind of like a date. But she shrugged it off, remembering the fact that they just met. Not to mention that she didn't think a human would ever think of a lycan that way, not in her case.
"Ladies first my dear."
Raising a brow she smirked slightly, but refrained from commenting. Walking in through the doorway, she trudged up the stairs and into the cafe greeting a few of the regulars. Scanning the semi-packed area, she spotted an empty table by the large stained glass windows.
Strolling towards the table, she slipped into one of the empty chairs. Despite all the candles and lights, it was unusually cold in the little cafe, causing a chill to run down her spine. Tugging the sleeves of her jacket, which had been rolled up to her elbos, she pulled the warm cotton tighter around her slim frame.
"Have you been sorted yet? she asked, trying to start a conversation as they waited for the waitress.

Aridan looked around the small cafe. It seemed to be quiet full, but not to the point that no more entry could be allowed. His eyes ran across the face of all the people sitting in the cafe drinking what they will. He smiled to himself, having a new place to meet someone was always nice.
He followed Rayne to the table. He was slightly embarrassed that she had not let him pull her chair out, he was raised to be a gentlemen. He sat opposite of her so that they could talk comfortably without having to crane their necks much.
As she ask about his house he smiled slightly "Ravenclaw actually, i just got the sorted before heading to the bank." Then it hit him he had not taken the money out he had gone for. Thought that was not a problem really he still had quiet a bit with him, but to busy new supplies it was best to keep extra in case the price went higher then you thought. "How about yourself Rayne, which house were you sorted to?"

"Erm.." a frown turned her lips slightly down at the corners. What house had she been sorted into? She didn't even remember ever stepping foot in her common room. After a moment she answered "Gryffindor...I think."
A blush was slowly creeping into her cheeks, showing her embarrasment. She didn't want him thinking she was scatter brained or suffered from short term memory. Staring at the waitress that was walking over, she said "I really didn't spend much time at the common room, and I haven't been in the school for quite some time now."
A waitress with short red curls stopped at their table, green eyes bright with a smile. Holding a small notepad and pen, she asked "What can I get ya?"
Ray really wanted a scotch at the moment, but didn't think it'd be appropriate. Stifling a sigh she ordered something else that'd likely push away the negative mood that'd been pulling at her all day, "A chocolate milkshake, if you've got it."
"Coming right up." the waitress answered flashing a warm smile. Turning to Aridan, she asked "And for you sir?"

OOC: the post was great stop belittling yourself
Aridan smiled at her as she spoke. He only just caught the snicker that was raising in his throat. He knew she had said before that she had not been in the school much so not knowing her house was conceivable. He still thought her blush looked cute on her pale features.
He watched the red headed waitress come over tot he table. He turned his gaze from Rayne to look down at the small menu on the table. He rolled his eyes at the menu, it was basically what one would expect of a magical cafe. After a moment he looked up at Rayne hearing her ask for a milkshake. "Odd that you order a muggle drink." he said with a smirk
"Didn't i offer to take us to a muggle dinner?" he said with a laugh in his voice. He was trying to lighten the mood, he could sense that Rayne was not exactly happy. He looked at the waitress "I would like a Milkshake as well, chocolate same as hers" he said nodding his head toward Rayne.
The Waitress nodded and wrote it down. "Coming right up." he said with a smile and went off to give the order.

"It's not a muggle drink...it's a drink for those addicted to sugar, magical or otherwise." she replied, her lips turned up in a small smile.
Ray stayed quiet as the waitress came back, placing a milkshake in front of each of them. Slipping open the small pouch, she paid for the drinks. The waitress smiled and walked off to another table.
"My treat." she said, spinning the bendy straw in little circles "It's the least I could do. After all, you didn't take out any money at the bank because I distracted you with conversation."
"You don't look like a first year...When did you find out you had 'magical abilities'?" she asked, taking a sip of the milkshake. Shaking her head slightly, she muttered "Brain freeze."

Aridan smiled just a little bit at her as her face changed to show the 'brain freeze'. He toke a sip of his but slower so not to be so unfortunate. After lowering the glass to the table he smiled "True i am not a first year student, i learn it about 6 years ago like most other young wizards." he made a point of not talking about himself much, it just felt rude. "I attended some magical school in America for a while and one France, thought i can hardly speak the language." he smiled and made a slight chuckle.
He looked at her a moment with eye that were attempting to find something, but then vanished as quickly as they had come. He was wondering if at all she thought him remotely funny or anything like that. "As for the drinks, well I guess your right but a muggle invented it." he had a bad habit of liking to be right most of the time.
"Oh and never mind the money matter, i still have enough to pay for something to eat and drink, I just need some extra money for some more school supplies." he showed her a small sack of coins. "I think in total i have 12 galleon(Sp?)." he pocketed the bag and looked around "So how long have you known of your magical abilities and such."

"J'aime l'Amérique, elle est ainsi libéré et individualisé. Chacun là est unique et différent." she said in perfect french, a smirk curling her lips. Though she couldn't remember ever being in France, some how she just knew she'd spent a good deal of time in the country. Likely touring the quiant villages and seeing the romance that clung to Paris like a shield.
"You just have to have the last word, don't ya." she'd said more as statement than a question since the answer was obvious.
"Oh, I could never carry just twelve galleons.. I'm a shop-a-holic and proud of it." she replied, half-joking half-serious. An amused smile was tugging at the corner of her lips, the whole purpose behind her trip to the bank had been to load up on money so she could do what she loves to do best. Shop for clothes.
At his question the smile slipped a notch, dimming her pink-purple eyes. Keeping the smile on her face by sheer will, it appeared as forced as it was. The same haunting depression and questions wanted to sweep over her as it'd been doing for months. Taking another sip she stared at the frothy drink and answered truthfully "I don't remember."

Aridan noted the expression change on her face as she said her last part. No memory of such a thing, it was not unheard of but such a thing normally kept on some level. He let the thought of all that slip from his mind as easily as it had come by. "Yes i do tend to like having the last word, which again i have." he said with a smile, once again attempting to break the mood of silence.
"Shop-a-holic" he said with a small laugh. "I know many of the same type." he said in truth, his sister was like that, thought he had not seen her in a year or two. His mind never dwelt long on the past, something about it he never quiet liked, only his old friend did he like to think of. "Well after this little drink, we can head tot he bank and fetch my money then perhaps we can shop together."
He pulled out his clothes from his chest "As you can tell i have poor taste in fashion." h said with a laugh. The shirt was two year old, his sister had said the same about the shirt in their last meeting. "Also I am in need of some new clothes and just like if you want a good beer you as a alcoholic, if you want goos clothes you need a Shop a holic." he said with another smile awaiting her answer.
