Kiki never was one to drop a subject, not quite as easily as Hayzie hoped more often than not, anyway. The firm stare had left her feeling small, and the suspense following her first statement had resulted in the blonde feeling slightly relieved… until the next question.
“Heh… well it’s the funniest thing,” Hayz began, a nervous laugh edging her voice. Now what to say next. The easiest thing would have been to tell the truth… but since when did this particular prefect do easy?
“I don’t remember.”

Kiki chuckled, admiring the Prefect's gall. She shook her head in something similair to disbelief and looked back to Hayzie, running a hand through her hair and coughing slightly.
"Uh huh," Kiki nodded, dragging out the noise of disbelief.
"Tell me the truth, Hayziebelle. Don't make me get out the Versitium." She raised her eyebrows in challenge.
OOC: Meh, I know it's not spelt right.

"Y-You wouldn't" Hayzie stuttered, showing true nerves for the first time. It was amazing how she could face merwomen, centaurs, trolls... almost everything. But when it came to telling her friends the truth in a circumstance like this one, the blonde seemed incapable of doing it.
Shaking her head lightly, green eyes met purple ones once more. "It was nothing big, honest. I just... tripped...?"

Kiki sighed.
"Bloody hell, Hayzie, get some guts, girl."

Bloody hell, Hayzie. Get some guts, girl.
As a Gryffindor, that hurt. Sighing and leaning back in her chair, Hayz looked down at her knees, and began fiddling with her fingers. "Okay, okay." Now, it was time for possible situation number one... how Kiki would react was beyond her. "I went into the Forbidden Forest, and ran into someone I wish I hadn't done now... and well... afterward... I ended up like this..." her words were spoken slowly, and were a little mumbled, but still understandable, or so she hoped.
Laura's reaction, along with Adhara's, had been one of despair. After all, how many times now had she promised not to go into the forest? "I didn't just go in on a whim," she tried, hoping to save herself at least a little. "I went in after some new students.. you know... to try and save them before they could get caught..."

Kiki sighed, understanding Hayzie's plight.
"You went in to save them before they got caught and slaughtered, and you got caught and nearly slaughtered yourself." She ran a hand through her hair, at a loss of what to say. Her mind was devoid of questions.
"How long for, then?" She asked, cringing at her horrible English. She gestured to the chair that Hayzie sat on and wondered who Hayzie had run into.

"How long for?" Hayzie repeated, the tears of embarressment beginning to prickle at her eyes. Looking back up again, the blonde replied simply: "Forever... unless they find a way to reattach the nerves. I'm paralised below the waist, now. Can't move my legs at all. I feel so stupid," she sighed, mentally kicking herself for the stupid mistake she had made.
ooc: Wow where'd muse go now? o.o
