ooc: hello! I want to register too, so I'm going to put the post back on track.
bic: Riddle sighed as she shoved open the door to the Ministry offices. She strided up to a desk and fixed the boy at the desk with a look that could have curdled water. "Animagus Registration, please," she drawled. The boy who had already been pale, turned whiter and pointed with a trembling hand.
Riddle nodded her thanks and walked down the hallway gazing around her. She came up to a door that bluntly showed the purpose of the room and walked in. The room was almost completely empty except for a person sitting in one of the chairs.
She walked up to the desk and irritably rang the bell a couple dozen times before flopping into one of the empty chairs to wait.

Oh, wowness. Lemmings are adorable. I saw two at the zoo once. They were doing special things to each other. The older kids enjoyed it.
ANYWAYS.

ooc: well thank you guys for your marvellous contribution, this thread would never have been the same with out it.
bic:
Sharade looked up when the doors opened, surprised to see another student registering. She stood up in a fluid movement, and walked over to the other. She held her hand out lightly.
"I'm Sharade," she drawled. She scrutinized the other girl from underneath her lashes. She had seen her before, but where? "Who are you?"

Riddle grasped the proffered hand. "My name is Claidissa Riddle. Do I know you?" asked Riddle lightly confused. She seemed to know this person, but she couldn't remember from where.

OOC: About the lemmings... Lemming suicide is fiction. Contrary to popular belief, lemmings do not periodically hurl themselves off of cliffs and into the sea. Cyclical explosions in population do occasionally induce lemmings to attempt to migrate to areas of lesser population density. When such a migration occurs, some lemmings die by falling over cliffs or drowning in lakes or rivers. These deaths are not deliberate "suicide" attempts, however, but accidental deaths resulting from the lemmings' venturing into unfamiliar territories and being crowded and pushed over dangerous ledges. In fact, when the competition for food, space, or mates becomes too intense, lemmings are much more likely to kill each other than to kill themselves. Disney's 1958 documentry White Wilderness was filmed in Alberta, Canada, which is not a native habitat for lemmings and has no outlet to the sea. Lemmings were imported for use in the film, purchased from Inuit children by the filmmakers. The Arctic rodents were placed on a snow-covered turntable and filmed from various angles to produce a "migration" sequence; afterwards, the helpless creatures were transported to a cliff overlooking a river and herded into the water. White Wilderness does not depict an actual lemming migration — at no time are more than a few dozen lemmings ever shown on the screen at once. The entire sequence was faked using a handful of lemmings deceptively photographed to create the illusion of a large herd of migrating creatures.
Nine different photographers spent three years shooting and assembling footage for the various segments that comprise White Wilderness. It is not known whether Disney approved or knew about the activities of James R. Simon, the principal photographer for the lemmings sequence.
Nature documentaries are notoriously difficult to film, as wild animals are not terribly cooperative. Many nature shows and films of this era — including Disney's "True-Life Adventure" movies and TV's Wild Kingdom — staged events to capture exciting footage for their audiences. The sight of a few lemmings mistaking a lake or ocean for a stream and drowning after swimming out too far, or being pushed over a cliff during the frenzied rush of migration, has become the basis of a widespread belief that lemmings commit suicide en masse when their numbers grow too large. ooc: Yes, that's what I always thought of lemmings as.
The ones where you have to get them to one end of the level to the other without them killing themselves? Or each other? And where they all mimic this one lemming?
Yeah.
o0; back to OOC posting *sighs* I shall refrain!

OOC: Some how I doubt that. Also, anyone know where to get an avi? I need a better one.
BIC:
Sharade shook her hand lightly, before extracting it from Riddle's grip.
"I may know you, however under the circumstances I can't remember. I assume you go to Magical Horizons, no? What House? I myself am of the noble Slytherin House."
She continued. "What are you registering as?" She arched an eyebrow and waited.

"I was placed in Gryffindor, though I believe that I should be in Slytherin," said Riddle. "My animagus form is that of a white gyr falcon. Would you like to see? May I ask what your animagus form is?"

OOC: I was simply showing proof that a) lemmings do not commit suicide en masse when their numbers get too high and b) Disney is evil and should be burnt to the ground Now back to lemming cuddling!! I'm going to get an igauna and name it 'Lemming'. ;D

Rowan walked into work and noticed, for the first time, that there was a line in front of the Animagius Registration door. Deciding that now was as good a time as ever to actually register, he walked up and waved cheerfully, saying in a voice far too bright for his normal character, "Hi Meriel! Want me to register too? I turn into a red tailed hawk, with the same color eyes, and plumage that looks like my pony tail. Do you need anything else?"
He looked around at the assembaly.
