That was it? Fenris was letting her go?
Hayzie’s tired eyes blinked, suspicion creeping across her face. He was going to let her go purely because Angelus Morti wasn’t showing up? Don’t complain, Hayz, the blonde told herself, almost daring to breathe a sigh of relief. That was it. Her own captivity was over, even if Amy and Talon were still in his evil clutches. She would sort them out soon.
The covering the Hufflepuff girl had placed on her wound was doing its job for now, but it was already soaked through, and there was a lot of dirt and other materials from the forest which had embedded in the wound. Not good.
“Thank you,” Hayz managed to whispered, even if it was through gritted teeth. Fenris was in a lot of pain, and it was evident he was not up to as much as he had been thirty minutes previous. Glancing to the Hufflepuff and the Slytherin girl, Hayzie waited for them to make a move before she started out. After all, although there was a broom handy, the two younger students should get themselves out before she. Her own life didn’t seem as important as theirs at that moment, and the blonde wondered if life would ever be the same again. There didn’t seem to be a week where something didn’t happen, a month where at least three things didn’t happen, and over two years, the Gryffindor had lost count of how many things had happened.
Did she really belong there? Or would it be better if she went.
Keeping these thoughts to herself for now, Hayzie looked back over at Fenris. “We’ll meet again, I’m sure,” she explained with a sincere nod before looking back to Roan and Dante. “Let’s go, ladies. I’m sure your house Prefects will be wondering where you are.”
