OOC: Yay! You got on Xailyn, sorry about all the posting. When I get bored....yeah....not good.... And your posts are not being ignored, well, I tried not too ;D
Roan closed her eyes when Dante moved between the girl and Fenris. It was a very foolish thing to do, for who in their right mind would stand between a lycan and it's prey? A small chuckle escaped the Hufflepuff's lips when she remembered she had done a similar thing down by the lake when she was determined to protect Rezna and Aidana at all cost. Havnt we all been so foolish these days? Opening her hazel eyes, panic flooded over the girl. She had forgotten the demoness who was now within arms reach. There wasnt enough time to prevent the icy hand from wrapping around the bare skin of her neck. Her hands flew up and gripped the wrist that held her captor, attempting to wrest herself free. But it all went downhill from there.
The icy cold spread quickly throughout her body, and the girl's skin turned red as the blood rushed to warm the new attacker away. It crept down into her legs and numbed the sharp pain in her knee, and the burns that had so seared before now faded down to a dull ache. But just as heat burned and stung, cold was bad as well. And the worst part was at her neck where the chill was coming from. Her breath came ragged and could be seen as fog as it hit the warmer air outside. Every nerve in her body was screaming as ice actually formed on her yellow robes and brushing against her frozen skin. It was like eternal winter had taken Roan in hand. She screamed a loud harsh scream that was hoarse for the ice had stolen all moisture from her throat. It echoed through the empty space in the graveyard. She didnt just scream for the physical pain, Roan was fighting a battle within herself
For with the cold this demon inflicted shadows formed in the girl's mind. Shadows she thought she had conquered before. Fear crept back into old places and settled there, causing the girl to panic. All humiliation of being attacked in the library, of almost being drowned in the lake, of feeling weak and helpless was back and strong. Voices that had been silenced before now whispered to her. You are muggle born, not fit to be a witch. When in your wildest dreams did you think you could beat Fenris, even when he is injured. You are weak and a fool, and you will die here tonight. Die in this demon's hands for you are alone, and there is no-one to help you now. "No..." her hoarse voice whispered, jaw struggling to move without chattering. Small ice crystals were forming in her hair and the girl's skin turned a sickly pale color, all warmth of the blood stolen away. It I die here today then everything I want to tell the students will be lost. Everything I want to tell Aylen will be lost. The thought of his name made her want to cry. I'll never see him again. I wont be able to protect the school all because Im weak and foolish. "Aylen." Once again she whispered, her jaw chattering and form shivering. Roan was resigned to the fact that she would die here, freezing in that evil demon's hand.
But that thought was shortlived, for a hand grabbed the back of her frozen robes. One pull and she was out of the cold hand, free from any new torment from entering her body. The thing that caused Roan's eyes to snap open was the voice in her ear. It was familiar, had once before calmed her. But the tone was all too different. It was harsh, and scared Roan a bit. Never could she imagine the faerie that had rescued her from the library could be so commanding. As the Hufflepuff landed on the hard ground, her skin erupted in pain like needles poking into her hundreds of times. The feeling when ice cold skin scrapes a hard surface. She let out a loud gasp, and allowed her body to fall rather than attempt tp brace herself. It wasnt like she could do anything right now. So desperatley did the girl want to rub her neck and remove the icy cold that had settled there. It made breathing extremely painful, but Roan couldnt feel her fingers to do anything about it. For now she let her head lay on the graveyard ground, long brown hair splaying out behind her with ice like small diamonds sparkling in it. She would be up and moving as soon as her body warmed enough to allow her, hopefully soon. So she closed her hazel eyes and listened to the faerie.
So, he wants me to just go home? If I could, I would. But how am I supposed to get up and walk away with a blown out knee and a frozen body? I cant even feel my legs at the time.! She thought angrily, concentrating on keeping her breathing regular. Plus, she wasnt leavin. Roan would not run away when things got tough this time. The Hufflepuff wanted to be at Luka's side, ready to fend off Fenris and Xailyn if they decided to attack Dante or Hayzie. She just needed to be a little warmer first.

((OOC: Xailyn its ok people usually never wait for me so I make it a goal to get on at least once a day even if it is only for a short amount of time.))
IC: Dante felt a coldness in the air that seemed to freeze her bones and she knew that the demoness was active and she also knew that Roan was no longer behind her and about that time a new aura appeared one she recognized well. Luka, he had been a source of comfort for her not to long ago. She new know that Roan was safe. She had not heard from Fenris he was being very quiet. She let her mind look around, Luka was talking but she wasn't interested in what he was saying at the moment. There were five different people or beings here and most of them were here to harm Fenris, but she could find no reason to harm him even if she could, if it was possible which it wasn't. He was in pain he was weakened. She couldn't do that. "Fenris, do you really wish to harm me, I can't fight you I have no advantages over you...let me help you."She knew those around her would be surprised and there was a large chance that the lycan would decline but there wasn't much more she could do. She knew this was her only option if she was going to get out of this alive, and it still wasn't a solid guarantee. There was a large chance she might not live. But she wasn't going to give into this without a fight. "Do you not take me seriously Fenris?" She asked quietly. Hoping that this worked. She really did want to help him but she wasn't sure if he would want her to.

ooc: Okay, I'm here... Though Hayzie's somewhat buried for me at the moment, but I'm going to try and write something....
bic: Hayzie's eyes watched everything as it was carried out. The Hufflepuff girl was being frozen alive and the Slytherin, foolish as she was, was trying to reason with Fenris with words. They're only words, dearie. He's not going to listen to you, Hayz said in her head, shaking it lightly as she spoke.
How she wished she could walk right now. Taking a deep breath, and knowing how difficult it was going to be, Hayzie undertook a similar movement to the one the Hufflepuff girl had made before and attempted to get herself into a seated position. After a few seconds of a silent battle with her own body, the soiled and utterly defeated Prefect glanced around the scene once again.
The only word the Hufflepuff seemed capable of whispering was "Aylen" and still the Slytherin was attempting to reason with words. To one side stood a black haired man, his wings proving he was a member of the faerie species, the same as her good friend Elorra. Hopefully he would help if worse came to worse... or fly to the castle and get word around before things could reach a point where they could not be solved in any way, shape or form. Casting grateful glance in his direction, Hayz turned back to the others.
Shaking her head much more violently this time, as though attempting to get rid of a headache, Hayzie shouted out: "Stop it! All of you just stop it!!!!"
A look of shock seemed to take over her face momentarily as the blonde girl comprehended exactly what she had just done. Had she really just told a demon and a Lycan to stop what they were doing? Wrapping her arms around herself quickly, but securely, Hayz repeated, though much quieter this time: "Please... just... stop hurting them..."
How was it that the Gryffindor Prefect always seemed to find herself in situations like this where she was watching others get hurt. "Please?" she whispered, looking pleadingly between Fenris and Xailyn. "You know you don't really want to do all of this... Fenris, you know you don't want to... I saw the look on your face.. I heard the tone of your voice... don't follow the orders. Just throw the rule book out of the window. After all, since when did a fierce Lycan like you take orders off a human?" the blonde girl asked softly, before turning to the demoness.
"And though I don't know you... I ask you to ask yourself about your true motives. Are you doing this for your own personal benefit? Or because you're playing henchwoman to someone who, by the sounds of things, doesn't deserve to live..." Looking back down to the floor once more, Hayzie's final muttered words were: "I just want to see my friends... and see that they're okay..."

Yes; yes! That minute that the Demoness decided to intervine was an enormous boon on the dying Fenrir. Now it would be in the hands of the capable demoness that she would suffer; whereas he was being burned alive; so she would freeze. The two opposites of the spectrum of temperature and how delightful it was to see them both in play. Delightful only to those that were not suffering that is. And yet, all the fun was ruined when their little gathering of sorts was crashed by the arrival of a faerie who saved Roan from the Demoness' icy clutches. And this faerie was no stranger in the eyes of Fenris Fenrir.
"So boy; you are back", rasped Fenrir as the poison started to eat away at his vocal cords, the simmering and rancid stank clearly started to pollute the surrounding air, "And why should the infameous Fenris Fenrir, as you call me, pay any heed to what you say and stop what he is doing? That is what makes me infameous; because I don't do as people wish of me and nor do I heed their brandying; they just brandy their words with me to prolong their existence. But you fly boy; you are not a part of this; you have not made clear as to what you follow, so why are you here?"
"Trying to save innocents from the big, bad lycan? Trying to play the hero? To what end will that take you boy? You can have your glory and you can have your fame but even that will not save you from Death of natural causes or...caused by myself and this wonderful demoness. Since you are not human; I will give you one chance; if you leave now you will not be considered an enemy, but if you linger any longer; then you shall join those who already make their home here. Choose wisely boy.", said Fenris as he ended the ultimatum; just as a flap of skin from his cheek fell off; rotten and decaying all at once.
Though it was not the pain from his face that caused Fenrir to flinch; it was the words of the blind girl whom he attacked earlier. Confusion was evident on the lycan's face, but it was also contorted in rage and malicious intent; no one ever tried to convince Fenris to rationalize and gotten away...unharmed. Limping toward the speaker, Fenrir's eyes started to glow and even though it burned his vocal cords to talk; he still shouted at the girl while spects of blood were coughed up at random intervals. "I take everyone seriously, but I am not blinded by those webs of lies and deceit. While wanting to help me with one hand; you would use the other to dispose of me! And what have you done? It's not about what you have done; it's about what your school has done to me; and you are from that school. Every chance that I have to make the school suffer; I willingly do so. Don't try to reason with a mad man dearie; you'll only end up like him."
Oh, if he was not in the current state that he was; he would be bathing in the blood of his foes with such relish, but that was not possible; the only blood that he was bathing in was that of his own. And worse; now his surviving ear had heard the words of his daughter; she asked him why. Why would such a beast as mighty as he fight for a human? "Because I gave him my word! My word is my honor and should I break my honor; I myself shall break. I would think that a prefect as yourself would realize that Miss Roberts, but as my daughter; you must also realize that my code of conduct differs from yours. I know that you want this all to end, but we cannot simply turn back now. Should we win; I shall obtain the freedom of the Forest. I am not sure what the Angelus Morti promised you, Demoness, but I have no doubt that it was something that you craved as well. Daughter; it is pointless to try and turn as from our chosen path; you have turned at your fork in the road and so have we. For while we are here; we share both glory and honor, but while we are not; we shall fade into obsecurity. And no one; ever wants that to happen to them. Never."
ooc: Yeah...since Azrael didn't post...I did...so...umm...without violently hurting me or anything for posting so late; have fun? *scampers off*

((OOC: I'm NOT trying to talk sense into you Fenris that would be goal long dead before it started =/ I AM trying to keep the others from killing you cause personally I don't think you deserve it . So HA! Lets NOT kill me..... *sticks tongue out*))
Ic: "Tell me Fenris what reason would I have to want to kill you, to destroy you, who you are is who you are, and I can't change that, but I will not let them kill you, I have no reason to hate, and I'm not trying to change your mind to reason with you, but I do want to help you and weather or not you let me is your choice." Her voice was quiet and spoke only the truth, she didn't want to hurt him she didn't want anyone else to hurt him it just didn't seem like he deserved it. And she stood up for what she believed in. Even though at the moment she was standing almost completely by herself.

I would think that a prefect as yourself would realize that Miss Roberts, but as my daughter; you must also realize that my code of conduct differs from yours.
"That doesn't mean I have to follow your code of conduct, too," Hayzie whispered, her own hope draining. There was no way of making him see. No hope that Fenris Fenrir would realise what he was doing was wrong. Placing a manicured hand to her still blooded shoulder, tears of despair prickled at her bright green eyes. Though, being a Gryffindor, the Prefect would not allow them to fall.
One more, final, desperate arguement flew to her mind. If this didn't work, the blonde would resign herself to sitting there silently and wait to see what fate held in store for her this time. "But as beings on this earth, and as members of the school whether we reside in its walls or in its grounds, should we not all follow the same code of behaviour? I have tried to unite warring Lycans, and succeeded, and you, Sir, are no more stubborn than they were. I am one who puts my life on the line to ensure the safety of the students of this school, who tries to prevent wrong being done to creatures outside it. And your master is too busy trying to corrupt creatures such as yourselves to realise this."
Shaking her head and taking a breath, not entirely sure she wanted to voice the next words, the blonde met Fenris' eyes. "And I thought you were smart enough to realise that everyone is equal. It looks like I was wrong."

Ooc: Oh, Roan, for the description on what Xailyn did to you, you did it so perfectly, even I didn’t even imagine it so well done. =D
Bic: Yes, she could feel warmth seep into her veins; happiness overflowed her. The thoughts might sicken some demons, but it was joyous to experience a different emotion. A genuine smile literally came upon her face, but soon the smile fell, and anger overcame her. The faerie boy had come and taken her precious victim away! The demoness hissed in a very cat like matter, glaring harshly at him through crimson eyes, which now seemed very bright.
“Who do you think you are boy?” She said to him, throwing a violent punch his way. All she had now was her demonic strength, it would take awhile for her to get the cold back in her veins. Right now she was human temperature, normally it was delightful, but at this moment it was annoying to no end. She wanted her powers back! She turned away from the faerie; the blonde girl was now yelling.
“Stop it?” She sneered, stifling laughter. “That’s not a very good reason why,” she said simply, allowing a shrug to lift her shoulders. “Henchwomen? No, I’d say not, I have my benefits in the end,” she said. Really, Xailyn didn’t have much point to join Angelus Morti, but she needed something to do with her time, and what better way than killing? Sure, she pledged her allegiance to some wacko human, but it didn’t mean if he said the wrong thing that she wouldn’t turn on him. Azrael wasn’t controlling her, he asked stuff, and she did it, because a good kill was always fun…and why not have a purpose to kill. “My motives are that of any demon; kill, I’m not human, I’m a demon, hun, killing is what I do best.”
Xailyn walked over to Fenris, now yelling at assorted people. Lucky for her, the sight of the rotting lycan didn’t disgust her, really, it actually tempted her to tear apart the students that had come to the graveyard with such confidence. “I can’t precisely freeze you at the moment,” the demoness said to him, sighing within herself. It would only take a few more minutes though, she knew, but still there was no trace of an icy feel from her skin. It was warm. She was like a human.

OOC: *blush* Thank you...
When Hayzie spoke, Roan realized she had forgotten the girl there. There was just so much going on at the moment it was easy to lose one person in the flow of it all. The girl seemed to be pleading with Fenris, a foolish thing to do. "Miss, he is a madman, nothing you say can help. Its his nature to do things like this, and reasoning can do no good." She said calmly, her voice hoarse. With an act of will she managed to pull herself up on a tombstone, ignoring her protesting body. After a few moments she had used the stones for handholds to pull herself over to the prefect. Blood was flowing from the girl's shoulder and it looked painful in the eyes of the Hufflepuff. Roan shuddered and used her trembling, cold hands to tear a piece of cloth from the burned bottom of her cloak. Once she had enough she folded it to make layers and pressed it to the prefects shoulder. "Sorry about this miss, just dont want you to lose too much blood."
Cold from her hand seeped through the cloth, also hopefully helping pain in the girl's shoulder. Xailyn's attack was not wholelly without a bit of good. Roan's skin was still an odd pale, and she shivered from the attack, but for now she kept her ears open to the people around her. Everyone seemed to be bickering over different topics, and that annoyed the Hufflepuff to no end. "Who cares why you people serve Angelus Morti, it doesnt matter. All that matters is that you are doing his deeds, and those deeds are evil. If you wont listen to me, listen to Hayzie, she has a voice of more reason! She said that we are equal and that is true, but you guys arent proving it. Your master is a monster, and by serving him you too are monsters." Her voice was harsh but quiet. She winced as her knee gave one throb, and then another.
Her next words were pleading almost, because Roan was getting sick of all the hostility in this graveyard. True she had added her own, but it seemed to grow by the second. "Please, you dont have to serve him. There has to be some magic that can break any vows you have made. You are our equals, we shouldnt be fighting. If you want to kill someone Miss Demoness, then kill Angelus Morti, kill the one who is truly doing wrong here." The hoarse voice of the Hufflepuff said. Xailyn still spoke of freezing Fenris, and Roan would try and stop that again if the demoness even tried. Though she wanted peace, there was no good risking the lycan coming back up and attacking again. She wrinkled her nose at the rotting piece of flesh he had become, and wondered what had the power to do that.
Her words said she focused again on putting pressure on the wound on Hayzie's shoulder and getting her own body to warm up. Small things like her fingers were the most painful to move, and her limbs still screamed from the cold. The crystals in her hair were slowly melting, but she still have the appearance of an icecle. Roan was worried most because she wouldnt be able to move quickly if one of the attackers lunged. But Hayzie was worse off it seemed, she couldnt walk. So Roan shifted a bit so she was slightly in front of the prefect, just in case Fenris or Xailyn got any ideas. If Dante had been over by them she would have been worried about her too, but one thing at a time.

So boy; you are back. The faerie’s lips twitched upwards in an expression that could pass for a smirk. The longer the lycan spoke, the more amused the faerie’s expression became. “Am I a hero now?” he asked. “Seeking fame? Glory?” Luka shook his head as he continued. “Such pointless things. They all fade away in the passing of time; fading into obscurity, as you yourself have spoken. I have always wondered why so many humans are after such short-lived ideals. What I am after is much more complicated, and lasts much longer. And as for death, one finds that death is no threat to those who live extended lives.” After long pause, he finally spoke again. “Strange, is it not? I always find you in the middle of things, in my way. Miss Rezna in the classroom, for instance; and Miss Roan in library, which I assume was of your doing as well. Tell me; give a good reason why I should not...rid myself of an obstacle, shall we say, while he is weak?” Taking a step closer to the lycan, the faerie looked down at him, his expression unreadable. “Then again, I pity you. I pity the way you have trapped yourself in a corner with your ideals and values. You seem to be in service of a human; those you claim to hate. Yet, you still find something in him that causes you to believe he will help you. Has he come, he whom you so ardently call for? And assuming he does arrive, do you truly believe he will heal you?”
“Humans are weak, like children. Promises are broken and foolish ideals run amuck. It is a saddening thing to see one of the proud Lycan race depending on a mere human because of a foolish mistake.” He paused in thought, then turned to the lycan again. “You attempted to take on a being stronger than you were, did you not? Perhaps if you were attacked without reason, I would have some sympathy.” With that, he turned as if to leave.
A sudden whoosh of air was all the warning he had, but he caught the fist easily in his palm, despite Xailyn’s demonic strength. Turning his violet gaze onto the demoness, he spoke again. “One last thing,” he said calmly. “The term ‘boy’ refers to a young male, correct? I do believe that the growth rate of my species is much slower than most of us present. I may well be several hundred years older than even you, Lady Demoness. It would be appreciated if we refrain from using this expression.” With that, he let go of Xailyn’s hand.

Post by Fenris Fenrir on Dec 23, 2005 0:57:27 GMT
With blood pouring from the pores of his rotting skin and flaps of sickening, wet epidermal layers peeling off of his throat; all that Fenrir was able to snarl in disbelief at the events that had happened. The faery man was just as cocky as usual; something that abnormally irriated the decomposing hunter, but then again he too was cocky and brash in his language. His daughter; the one person outside of the Demoness that he would have spared; seemed to turn against him in light of the Faerie's coming. And little Miss Valient; shouting out why they should not do as they did but little did she know how much her words would cost her, but all in due time.
"You think, that even with all the strength that you posess Faerie; that you would be a match to a lycan? I have the gifts of inhuman strength and regeneration; all I see you able to do is fly about, be a pain, and being lucky enough to block a punch. Yet; I believe an injuried beast as I could not defeat even a field mouse if it attacked. So consider yourself a victor over Fenris Fenrir for this day; go and get yourself a medallion commemorating this day. You deserve it", said Fenrir; who staggered backward toward a mausoleum for support, "for you know that it is an act of outstanding courage and immpecable bravery to defeat a wounded foe."
"And you young students; you cannot even attempt to think that you can undo what I am bound to. I made no vow that can be broken by magic; but by myself. Honor and keeping one's honor is something that is treasured in this world; it is a rarity as it is. And even though he that my honor bounds me to is a human; I still must follow it. Without my honor I am nothing; I thought that you would have recognized that by now; since I am so unintelligent not to hide what I wish to remain hidden.
And you; my daugther; I did not think that you would stoop to such a level; to try and insult me like that. It is a sad day when a child cannot understand their parent; a very miserable day indeed. But since Angelus is apparently not coming; you are free to go. Just never again got involved with this crisis; or I will make certain that you remain safe from the school and all it's ways of conversion."
Just as Fenris had uttered those words, the last and largest flap of skin that still covered the man's throat peeled off and floated to the ground like leaves that drop in the Fall. In place of the skin, there was bleeding muscle mass; quivering with exhaustion and pain. Blood spurted out of little holes in the tissue created by the poison. His windpipe and trachea had turned a sickly shade of green; it was also these parts of his throat that sizzled sofly in agony. Had he the power to clutch his throat in horror; it would have been covered and protected by now.
By he did not; and he had only 30 minutes before he had to return to the Forest if he was to make it out of this debatle intact. There was only one option left and Fenrir would rather take advantage of it than remain helpless as a babe. "Demoness; my thanks once more; even if you are unable to help. I am afraid though that I may have to leave you soon and care for my hurts", said Fenrir, but he ceased conversation when he saw crimson blood splattering on his black overcloak. With his face contorted into a snarl, Fenrir's words pounded into the minds of those about him, '30 minutes; hold me off for 30 minutes faerie man and I will have to leave the Graveyard to heal. But that leaves my lovely friend behind; perhaps then she will be able to get some satisfaction from what you did to her. But as for you faerie man; I know for a fact that what I have in mind will not affect you negativily; so hush little baby and don't say a word; momma's going get you a mockingbird. And if that mocking bird don't sing... '
Then the coiled springs of the anomaly's anger lashed out with a vengence.
Since there was nothing that stood in his path, Fenris threw himself headlong at the Faerie; and his human mouth opened wide to accomodate the width of the Faerie's right leg just at the knee. Even as human teeth tried to penetrate the immortal's flesh; specks of silver-grey started to appear in Fenrir's raven-black hair and soon these hairs started to appear everywhere. Despite the pain that the trasnformation caused, Fenrir's eyes rolled back so that only their white's showed; the lycan truely had lost it at this point. But not it was no longer human teeth that tried to tear at the leg, but they were the keen canines of the wolf.
Weapons of the warrior; weapons that never dulled no matter how old.

Roan looked at Fenris with anger and disgust in her eyes as his skin continued to fall. "Disgusting Fenris, just disgusting." She whispered, shifting the cloth on Hayzie's arm. In her eyes he didnt seem capable of anything right now, more fit to die than to attack. She wrinkled her nose again. The faerie spoke and more annoyance welled up in the Hufflepuff. This was the person she trusted so much, calling humans weak. "If we are so weak why defend us." the girl muttered, listening to the words around her. But with horror she realized that Fenris was going to do something, and it probably wasnt going to be good. Frantically she searched for her wand, which was lying a few feet away from her in the grass.
As fast as she could move, Roan scrambled for her wand and pointed it at the lycan. But now he had already latched onto the faerie's leg, and she didnt even hear her own gasp and shout. "Let him go Fenris! He didnt do anything to harm you!" The harsh voice yelled as she thought of a spell to use, any spell. "Stupefy!" A flash of red light headed towards the rabid lycan, who was quite insane. The stunning charm was the first that came to mind.
But as Roan calmed down and resumed her sitting position, she realized Fenris had to be pitied now rather than attacked. The girl wasnt harsh and cruel, just the situation made her that way. The true nature of this Hufflepuff was starting to shine through again, being able to see the one she thought so powerful weakened. The rotting man was disgusting and horrible to look at. Shaking her head she looked back at Hayzie. "This is insane what Im about to do..." Taking a leaf out of the prefect's book, she aimed her wand once again at the lycan.
"Aguamenti, Glacius!" Using the same spells the Gryffindor had used, icy water rushed at the burning lycan. Hopefully that would relieve him of pain. "This may be confusing to you Fenris...even new...but not all of us are cruel and heartless. Now, maybe we could continue this in peace rather than attacks, for it seems with each one someone else is injured deeply. If your master has anything to say, he should say it now. Im leaving here soon." Roan had enough of this graveyard, and even though she had promised to stay, it was about time to leave. If force was needed, she would be taking Hayzie and Dante as well. There was no point in leaving them behind.
