I already promised young Yamaroshi Riel if I got the position of Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher (which Claire still hasn't gotten to me yet), I would train him in the art of Wind Magic. I suppose if you all come up to my desk and say "PLEASE PROFFY WINDWALTZ CAN YOU TEACH US ELEMENTAL MAGIC!?" I'll be overwhelmed and possibly train an army of Elemental Mages...*grins*

*snicker* Proffy Windwaltz has a rather neat ring to it. An army though. Doesn't that sound nice? A Mage Army. Yes, it does sound rather nice. The same kind of nice ring as 'Gentleman's War'. Gentleman's War has a nice ring to it.
Or else there's a phone going off somewhere in the distance that I haven't quite detected yet.

Hikalyn. She's the Head Auror though, good luck getting into her office and asking her.
Talon can teach Wind, Fire, and Water, but not Earth. He HAS a Pheonix by the name of Trajan, but no Phoenix Animagus. And Necromancy is GROSS. UGH. CHRIS. What are you doing with DEAD BODIES!?
(I like Proffy Windwaltz too. ;D)

uh-huh, and how exactly does one teach this magic to another? Through posts and threads, or through PM's?
Threads could be interrupted, but PM's aren't really IC

tis especially effective against the necrophiliacs, who will be so entranced by their love of my minions that they will be unable to fight back!

hey uh talon...you said you combined elements...howd you pull that one off ><
i can only think of creating each element and controling it...of course i have my own explanation of why it works
and i basically use water to control all other elements...my theories are actually pretty cool
but i dont understand combining

The only thing I could teach is Earth magic, at least my Professor Character could. Contact Prof. Eden (ME other chara) He'll be happy.

Indeed.
Here's my mindset on wandless magic: All of the Harry Potter spells that people use do indeed require wands. As Talon has said, we've taken some leeway with the elemental magic. However, as far as I'm concerned, most elemental magic also requires a wand. My outlook is that being able to use magic without a wand is something that's possible, but comes with a lot more study and a lot more effort. It's generally used by more powerful witches and wizards.
That's my point of view, in any case. Disagree with it or not, as you like.
As for learning elemental magic, it would be done IC. If you don't want anyone to interrupt your threads, make it invite only.

A person has one, primary, element. (In my case, Wind.) This element is stronger than all other elements you can learn. This element is YOU. You are the wind/fire/earth/water! From there, you can learn other elements, control fire, control earth, control water, but you can't learn the opposite of your primary element.
Then, if you've learned..say...(say you're a primary water mage)water, earth, and wind, you can summon your water, and then summon earth. They'll combine to form a Nature spell. Now, say you summon your water, and then summon wind. They'll combine to form an Ice spell. That's what I mean by controlling. Seeing how the second element becomes the secondary (magma, lightning, ice, nature) element while feeding off the primary element (water), the fire would repel off the water, and can't be combined.
See?

*nods*
but what i mean is if all magic is wandless then explain the occurances when harry is young and for isntance with the snake incident makes the glass disappear...he obviously didnt have a wand with him then
i think there might be a whole other element to this wandless magic

wow talon...thats a brilliant theory... the way i structured the elements though is that the feeder element should be water...being magical and the fact that our bodies are some crazy percentage of water controling that should be easy... but then it order to control other elements you control water...for instance...fire can be created by a simple combustion theory...without moisture combustion is easily possible...also wind for instance...there are water molecules in the air...so you can control the movement, flow, strength etc. of air by the movement of it...same applies with earth...there is water underground...and in everything basically...electricy has to do with the ionization of particles so if you can seperate the water molecule which is H2O youre left with hydrogen and oxygen...hydrogen is combustible but it also creates an electric charge...its a whole chemistry thing ice i considered just a matter of controling the temperature of water
