Ashlle sat in the middle of the Dueling Hall Meditating till Kezza showed up for their next Lesson. She sat in the Lotus Position, attempting to use her Elemental Powers to lift her off the ground slowly and steadily. Little did she know she was already five feet in the air.
The reason for the obvious pushing of her powers and talents was because of the not so obvious ambiance of the school. There was an Evil presence in the air, one that kept getting stronger, as if it's time were soon to come.
Because of this, Ashlle did not feel comfortable with her level of training thus far, though she realized she must expect it to go slowly. Still the feelings of dread she was having worried her to no end. Something is coming, I Feel it. She thought. It must be defeated if I am to fulfill my Destiny.

So intent was Ashille on her meditation, that she missed the footsteps of a slowly approaching present.
Gavin stood next to her, hands clasped behind his back, and in a way that only a young child can do, he asked, "Whatcha doing?" With a giant smile on his face.

"AHHH!" said Ashlle falling out of the air and onto the ground. "Oof" she added when she landed. Ashlle then looked up at the kid and frowned.
"I" she said indignatly "am waiting for Kezaa to come and give me a my Hunters Lessons. He aparetly forgot we were going to meet here as he hasn't show up yet. What are you doing here?" she asked, wondering if he was a test from Kezaa.

Gavin smoothly sidestepped the question, both figuratively and literaly, as he started to circle Ashille calmly.
"Well, as your sensei is apparently running late, perhaps you wouldnt mind a 'friendly' sparring session?" Gavin paused, slightly to the left of center in Ashille's vision, and smoothly took up a fighting stance. Though the tiny smirk on his face gave him an air of amusement, his eyes were deathly serious.

Ashlle put her head to the side as if sizing him up. Then before she said a word she jumped up and backed away -in such a way that it didn't seem strange at all- till she reached her sword and other objects.
"Do you want to use swords, wands, or play 'Quarry'? she asked, clearly having all the things for such war games in her warm up bag.

Gavin followed her, though clearly at a much faster pace, and sent her stumbling backwards with a flying kick to the abdomen.
"Just fight already." He said.

"OW! Hey!" said Ashlle jumping up. Without warning she called on her Elemtal Powers. She made a slapping motion in the air, causeing a great gust of wind to slap him to the ground.
"Play nice. I wasn't ready."

Gavin raised an eyebrow, "Thats the idea." and spun his body about on the floor, landing easily on his feet.
Ducking low, he darted at Ashille and grabbed her about the waist, picking her up and slamming her against the wall.

It was now obvious to Ashlle that this was one of Dawini Dassus Followers and he was trying to take her out. HA! what a chump to not come here himself.
Ashlle decided to wast no more words. (having the wind knocked out of you twice will do that to you) She elbowed Dawini's Neo-Death Eater (as she thought of them) in the gut to make him drop her. Once she was back on the ground, chose earth as her next element, and making a sharp upward motion, hit the poor Gavin hard with a block of the stone floor right under the chin.
Only now did she realize her lip was bleeding. She wiped it away not really caring which attack it was from, and readied her piece of stone for the next attack.

An echoing boom encompassed the room, and the block of stone quite literally disentigrated.
Gavin stood across the room, one of his guns leveled, the barrel still smoking. "If you have to fall back upon your Elemental skills every time, what good are you in an actual fight?" Gavin asked calmly, all traces of humor gone.

" You didn't state the rules" she acussed. "If guns are aloud, then fine. If swords, fine. But you just attacked me! All my stuff is still in my Bag! Therefore I am useing what I have, you Jerk!"
Ashlle called on her wind powers, and her bag flew into her grasp. Then she made a sweeping motion with her hand and all the fires in their stone pedistals when out. The Room was plunged into blackness. Ashlle couldn't be seen as she noiselessly ran behind some obstaclas that Kezaa had set up in her absance.
Haven't got much time she thought as she strapped on her wand and shoulder holster then her gun and it's shoulder holster. Then her sword and it's scabbard at her side. She listened hard to see where he was moving to. Then she drew her gun and wand and waited in the dark.

That was the telltale; the soft whisper of metal against other material. Gavin spun and fired twice, punching two fairly large holes in the obstacle.
"You think Danawi will bother to establish 'rules' during battle? You attack when given the opportunity, and never rely on something to bring you victory. If I were to negate all magic in this room, quite simply, you're f***ed." Gavin snarled across the quiet space, all the while circling to his left.
"If all you can do to respond is blow someone around, then you're not a warrior. You're a f***ing coward."

The shots had just missed her head, gone on either side of it in fact.
"You right" agreed Ashlee listening to his voice and counter circling while staying out of the open. "I am a Coward. My parents were Slytherins, they only did something if it was good for them and their ideals. It's also true I'm not a warrior. I'm a First Year. I was forced into being a Hunter for the BFC. I have yet to make my first kill in their name." Ashlle put her wand away and drew her sword as if simply his words had negated her magic.
He surely had her backed into a figurative corner. She should just go, come back when things were better, make up her finals next year . . . But if she didn't get him she couldn't get to Danawi, and she badly wished to get him. It would be a great step forward in her quest to fulfill her Destiny and a wonderful figurative trophy on her wall.
Kill the Follower, do it! said a little voice. No! save yourself for next time! said another little voice. If I at least try to take him out, you both will win. she told them. If I attack and he defeats me I'll go to the hospital wing and then be sent home. Then I'll miss the whole Danawi thing but still be able to come back for next time. Good plan! said the little voices DO IT!
Ashlle listened to the silence and smelled the air. He was directly across from her. She fired her gun twice at his noises hoping to wound or distract him, then ran silently forward at breakneck speed and slashed across his body, attempting to use the Slashing-in-two method Kezaa had taught her.

"Well done, student of mine." rang out a familiar voice as Kez jumped down from one of the cieling windows. He was watching much of the fight, and was pleased to see how far Ashlle had come since he last saw her. Afterall, she shouldn't have to listen to this boy, merely because he takes it upon himself to make or eradicate rules as he goes. Fighting with class is a trait that Kez hoped never left the girl's heart.
Dropping down from the twenty foot accent, Kez brushed himself off and pushed his fine blonde bangs aside, getting a view of the blonde boy and the red-haired elevan-year-old before him.
"Sorry I'm late, Ashlle. I had some....urgent matters that popped up while I was shopping in town."

"Am I horribly wounded yet?" asked Ashlle not really processing the fact that Kezaa had stopped the fight. "Am I to be sent home now?" She checked her body carefully not really hoping to find something wrong but more like - expecting to. The only thing that was evident was the blood from her lip and a large shoe shaped abrasion on her abdomen.
Ashlee was confused by this, and so tried to look around Kezaa who was standing in front of the Follower. "Did I kill him?" she asked.
