Loki raised a sarcastic brow.
"Tickle torture?" he questioned her, slightly perturbed. "I don't think that would be the best method. It's an extreme form of cruelty, that one. It would annoy me, but it might just make me hex you."
Loki pulled his knees up to his chest where he sat on the slightly dusty floor, resting his arms loosely in front of him. He turned his sea-coloured eyes upon the girl before him, watching as she pretended to think up new methods of extracting information. He looked lazily at his hands, pretending to be interested in them, and spoke softly.
"I could demonstrate for you, if you like," he murmered, pulling out his sixteen inch ash and unicorn tail hair wand, and pointing it discretely at her.
Rictusempra!
The tickling charm.

Lily pursed her mouth, trying to keep from smirking when Loki spoke. She was about to ask what he meant about demonstrating for her when, wham!, she was hit with the tickle torture herself. She swallowed her laughter at first, which turned into silent chuckles, but she soon burst out into full-blown giggles. "I wa-.. I was...I was just...just playing!" Lily was able to shriek between laughs before bursting into another fit of giggles. She wasn't going to give in! No, no way! ...Oh, forget it, she was having trouble breathing from the laughter, and she was way too ticklish! "Uh-..Unc! Uncle, uncle, uncle, uncle!!! I give!!" Lily's ribs were hurting from all that laughter, and yet it kept coming. Lily tried to catch her breath before speaking again. "Please, please, I give up!" And again, more laughter, more tickling, more trying to breath properly...if that was possible. She gave up, sure, but no way was she saying he won! He didn't win, she just wanted to stop laughing! "I'll be nice, I promise!" Lily half-shouted, holding her sides with a big smile on her face as she tried to stop laughing. "Please? Oh god, please!" Lily gave him as much of a pleading look as she could with the smile she had plastered on her face from the spell. #nosmileys

Uncle? What uncle? Loki had never come across that sign of giving in before. However, having had enough fun for now, flicked his wand lazily, muttering the words finite incantatem, under his breath, releasing Lily from the torturous spell.
"Not so fun, is it?" he asked, a hint of a smile playing lightly on his lips. "I know you were laughing, but it's not always a good thing." He lowered his eyes for a moment before bringing them back up to meet hers, quirking an apologetic smile.
"Sorry, I probably shouldn't have done that, huh?" he said, rubbing the back of his neck slightly.

Lily chuckled a bit after he called off the spell, trying to calm her nerves after that jolting experience. She looked over at him, a commending smirk on her face and a mischevious gleam in her eyes. "That was a good one, I'll have to admit..." She tried to keep the smile off her face, but didn't succeed. He was good, he was very good... "Oh no, it's quite alright." Lily spoke, the corners of her mouth curling up into a grin. "You caught me off guard though!" she chuckled, tossing her hands in the air. "And that, my friend, is a difficult thing to do..." She lowered her head a bit, one eye squinted slightly, and looked him in the eye before sitting back up straight, her elbows hanging loosely on her knees.

"Is it really?" Loki replied somewhat sardonically, one eyebrow raised inquiringly. "I think you'd be surprised at how easy it can be sometimes to catch people unawares." He quirked up one corner of his mouth humorously. "But then again, it's very difficult with some people, myself included. I guess being at Durmstrang helped teach me to be prepared at any time. You had to watch your back there, believe me." He gave a slight snort of laughter at some far flung memory.
"Don't get me wrong, though," he added. "Not everyone from Durmstrang is as bad as people make out. It wasn't all cloaks and daggers... though, now that i think about it, there were an awful lot of cloaks and daggers around that place." He smiled wryly.

Lily chuckled. "Right, right..you're probably right, people could probably jinx me into oblivion when I'm distracted enough." She paused and chuckled when he laughed, something she hadn't heard him do yet. It was quite a pleasant laugh, actually. She paused and laughed again when he joked about Drumstrang. "Ah, heh, yeah...I wonder why that is?" she asked in a sarcastic, but joking, manner. "God, sounds like my family reunions!" Lily covered her mouth, laughing at her own stupid joke. "Ahhh...yeah, and that was a stupid joke." she muttered, brushing her bangs nervously out of her face. She gave a big, cheesy grin, bad habit from when she was a kid, and flicked her eyes around, trying to find a subject. "Uhm, hmm... So what's it really and honestly like at Drumstrang then? Aside from the cloaks and daggers, that is..."

Loki shrugged non-commitally, reflecting for what seemed like the first time on his general experiences at his old school. Overall, it hadn't been bad. Of course there had been a few people there who had been a little too fervent about certain aspects of wizarding society, but he had made friends there. True, most of them turned on him following the incident that had made him leave, but not all of them. He smiled faintly at the memory of his two closest friends. They at least had made sure they had some fun.
"It was often enjoyable," he said softly, flicking the long hair from his eyes as he always did. "And educating, and not just in terms of the lessons. Much like any school really, or so I am led to believe." The corner of his mouth twitched slightly. "I don't think I really wanted to leave it," he continued, but then stopped, slightly surprised at himself. Had he realised that before? He didn't think he had. But there it was. The truth. Was he really that attached to the place? He shook his head, very slightly, to himself. No. Not to the school, nor for what it had represented. His experiences had been good at times, he had learned a lot. That was what he had enjoyed. He turned his sea-coloured eyes on Lily again.
"It was a school, nothing more," he told her levelly. "To quote Dickens, it was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Nothing more can be said of it. But isn't that school all over?"

Lily nodded, not really knowing what else to talk about. "Yeah, it is...who knew Dickens was writing about school when he wrote A Tale of Two Cities?" Lil smirked and leaned forward, placing her head on her arms. She was getting frustrated with herself and her lack of ability to make decent conversation, and she didn't want to sound trite or anything, so she just sat there. She quietly summoned up a clear bottle of water from her room, but fell into silence after that, just staring at the floor...

Loki noticed the uncomfortable silence that had decended upon the two of them. He had never been very adept at making small talk as people liked to call it, and he felt that without someone feeding him lines he was no use at all. He glanced at his watch, noting that it was nearly time for dinner. Not wanting to seem impolite, he got to his feet and proffered his hand to the seated girl.
"May I escort you to the Great Hall?" he inquired, his tones formal and cultured, though there was a hint of humor there also, something which had been absent for a long time he felt.

Lily quietly took his hand and stood up. She brushed the dust off of her jeans and twiddled with the bottle in her hand. She gave a slight sigh and looked around, not knowing what to do. Lil spoke, her voice slightly dull. "Sure, why not? I really should start eating again anyhow.." She'd muttered the last part to herself absentmindedly, but realized the man may have heard it, and quickly tried to think of something. "Um...what do you like to do when you're not attending classes and the like..?" Lil perked up a bit and tilted her head to look up at the man before her, her natural quiet friendliness coming back a bit.

Loki noted the girl's quiet words to herself, but decided not to comment on them. It was clearly her own business. Shaking the hair from his handsome face once more, he replied simply;
"Practise."

Lil smirked. "Should've known that one was coming..." She smiled and twirled her bottle around on her right index finger before catching it again in her palm. She gave a quiet smile and spoke in a small tone. "Shall we, then..?"

Loki offered up his arm in a chivalrous manner, and quirked another of his slow smiles at her.
"We shall," he replied, and, arm in arm, he escorted her from the hall, the tune that he had been singing still buzzing around inside his head.
Strange conversation Self control has just expired...
And maybe that was a good thing.

Smiling, Lily linked arms with the young man and walked with him out of the hall. *Well, what do you know, Lil? Nice people do exist here...*
