Ashlle reeled when she got her marks back. A Sixteen! Out of Twenty! Certainly, she understood the It's not cooking part but it took her a moment to realize what was meant by 'Since when were house-elves an extension of a person's personality?'
"Professor!" Ashlle raised her hand again. "If you really wish to know about me I could do a longer essay for extra credit." Usually Ashlle didn't volunteer information about herself, but a Sixteen was no good. Even if it meant telling her life story to a Vampiric Professor, she would get a better grade!

Xarian chewed her quill. She liked potions because she liked creating, but writing wasn't her strong point. She sighed, and started to write in her sloppy, slanted handwriting. Xarian Heart Ravenclaw Potions How long have you been at Magic Horizons? I have been attending Magic Horizens for a very short time, havng only arrived a few months ago. I'm getting used to my inviroment here.
What are your favortie subejects and why? With my intrests in more physical subjects, I like potions, Divinations, and Charms. I like to do the work and not write long essays after I've read.
Why are you taking Potions as a subject? I'm taking potions because I like it. I like mixing and creating something different and strange that has simular effects as spells. I like the asspect of endless posiblities and it's something that I think I'd like to persue in a career.
As for about myself, I guess I'm a strange girl. I like physical activity and I don't like just sitting around. I'd take sports over a dress any day. I guess It's because I was basically raised by my older brother. He went here as well.
Professor Aecus says: "A fair effort indeed, though presentation could be neatened. But seeing as you like my subject, I guess I can award you.... seventeen points. Well done."

Konoka busted in late to her first class "oh boy" she said to herself. The she looked toward the teacher an said " sorry I'm late" then she sat down In the middle of the class room seats. She puled out her paper and Quill so hastily that her ink almost spilled. then she began writing. 1. I just got to Magic horizons. 2. I have no favorite subject yet. 3. Because I wish to take potions class. 4. We tend to talk funny sometimes.
After she puled out her Genshinken book and started to read waiting for more instructions.
Professor Aecus says: "Wow. What a lot of hard work and effort you must have put into this essay. You get two points for actually showing up and putting a pen to paper, but that's it, kiddo. I expect better next time. 2 pts only."

Data Dias walked hastily in the classroom, noticing that everyone had already started, and hurried to the nearest free seat.
Taken notes from the board, she started to pre-heat the cauldron, while removing any foreign object from the desk that can possibly ruin the ingredients.
She started to chop the daffodil root, but despise her effort to do it neatly, she noticed that it wasn't very very well made. She never was very good a chopping things. Shrugging, and thinking that a repeat would probably have the same result, she decided to put the root pieces in the container of dragon milk right away, and started to stir. After a while, she noticed that the compost wasn't green as deep as the others that she manage to see around her, but since it was her first lesson, she thought that with practice, she could make it. She poured the compost in the cauldron.
While waiting, she started the essay.
Data Dias Slytherin Potions' Essay
1) How long have you been at Magic Horizons? Just from this morning. I decided to start right away with the classes, and potion, after hearing that it was the most difficult, seemed the best first choice. Harder work first, as my par... uh, I mean, my "relatives" taught me...
2) What are your favourite subjects, and why? I don't have seen all the classes, but I suppose they are all interesting. I personally can't wait to go to Transfiguration and Charms, as well as Defense Against the Dark Arts, though.
Noticing that the three minuts has almost passed, she picked the half-horn of the horned toad, and then added it. It was melting, but wasn't as black as it was expected...
Shrugging, she started to add the wings, having managed to get some of the most colourful ones, at least. At the second wing, she remembered that she still hadn't wear the gloves, and hastily put them on. She manage to do in just in time to finish, and then to add the lovage leaves, barely noticing that the shade of the purple was similar to the green, not exactly deep. She started to stir the compost.
Adding the catsbane, she started to stir counter-clockwise, noticing unfortunately that the silver streaks, too, were a shade ligher. Since it was time to let it boil, she decided to add the skin of some apples, and maybe eat the apple itself after skinning it. She was getting hungry, after all. Then, she decided to continue the essay.
3) Why are you taking Potions as a subject?
It seems fascinating, even if it resemble the cooking lessons I had to do when I was little. The teacher wasn't exactly the patient type... Well, anyway, I'll be happy if I'll manage something so difficult and precise as creating deadly, or better, life-saver, potions and ointments.
She hastily putted down the quill, noticing that the time was almost up, and added the Bowtruckle quills to the compost, then she stirred for the required time. Then she waited for the cooling.
4) Tell me something unique about yourself, in as many words as you like.
Uh... Well, I like to read a bit of everything, I like almost any type of music, I'm usually the quiet type... Uhm, what else... Oh, well, who cares, anyway... I'm a Slytherin, I'm a Pureblood, and I was raised by Muggles... Yes, muggles, ence the cooking lessons... But I don't want to talk about it, sorry...
She bottled up the now finished potion, and walked to the main desk, handing it, and the essay, to the professor, without looking directly at him. Professor Aecus says: "Good work, I noticed you were the quiet type from the style of your essay and your lack of contact, but you're a diligent potions worker and for that I commend you. Seventeen points."

Fae Wings runned all the way to the Potions classroom, sure she'd be late. She sighed. She so hated being right in these things! The door was closed. Fae pushed it open, hoping she'd go unnoticed. She had the urge to kick herself for being so damn stupid. How would she know that the phantom she had met wasn't a phantom but a poltergeist the one that guided her towards the Qudditch pitch, instead of the classroom? She always avoided ghosts and such, simply because they caused her certain... insecurity, so she was quickly fooled by the little monster. "S-sorry I'm late, Professor. It's just that... I sort of... got lost," she smiled then quickly sat down in a random desk, putting her bag at her feet. 'Hmm...Babbling Beverage? Sweet!' Looking at the ingredients, she went to the Potions drawer and picked out the ones that she didn't have in her Potions kit. She put water to boil in her cauldron, then looked over at the instructions. She turned red as she read the first line, and Evanescoed the boiling water at once. She mixed the daffodil root with the dragon milk, till it grew a nice shade of green, then poured it into the cauldron, setting the fire to a simmer. She waited three minutes, looking at her wrist watch, then added the half-horn or the horned toad. She waited until the half-horned melted, then added the butterfly wings, watching the coulours the potion changed into. One, two, three, four. Lovage leaves were added, waiting a moment, then she begun stirring. One, two, three, four, five minutes. A waiting moment, then the Bowtruckle quills. Stiring one, two minutes anti-clockwise, then letting it to cool down for five minutes. Fae gathered her loose pony-tail and bottled up the potion. After handling it to the professor, she cleaned up the mess and the cauldron, then replaced the ingredients she didn't use. Only after did she setlled to write the essay.
Amaya Oros Slytherin
1.) How long have you been to Magic Horizons? ·I've only been here for about two days, but I already like it!
2.)What are your favourite subjects, and why? ·I like Charms, but I always seem to mess up. I like Defence Against the Dark Arts, but it's only because I do it OK and I know a lot about it. I like Potions, because it requires precision and skill, which I seem to lack. I also have a passion for history, be it magical or muggle.
3.)Why are you taking Potions as a subject? ·There are two answers to this question. One would be because I like it and the other is because I'd like to be an Auror.
4.)Tell me something unique about yourself, in as many words as you like. ·Well, I don't know... I come from the old pureblooded Transylvanian line of the Oros... I speak fluently about four languages... And I studied a year in Spain and two years in Romania. I hope I'll finish my magical schooling here, though, since I'm kind of sick of moving from here to there... And I also would like to become a water mage. But I can't seem to find a master...
She put the essay on the professor's desk and sat down, waiting for the class to end.
Professor Aecus says: "Good stuff! A perfectly written essay, conversational and smooth, and your potion was top notch too. Full marks - twenty points!"

"Fan-bloody-tastic," Hayzie scolded herself, racing through corridors and levitating herself downstairs as fast as her wheelchair would allow her. How could she have slept through her alarm when the new potions professor started that day? Surely the hag she had heard about would see her coming in with one of her four eyes. Or was it five?
"Inconsequential!" the blonde snapped, shaking her head rigurously as she rounded the corner awkwardly which led to the potion's dungeon room. This corridor always freaked her out, and even more so when it was empty and she was late.
"Alohomora," Hayzie whispered, opening the door in front of her and wheeling herself through, an action she had excelled in as of late. However, she froze in the doorway at the sight of the Professor behind the desk. ACE?! she cried in her mind. What on earth was he doing in the dungeon? "Okay..." she whispered, giving a small, apologetic smile in his direction and heading towards a seat at the back, moving the stool out of the way as she travelled.
Reading the instructions on the board, Hayzie frowned slightly. This could be one very long class... even if she had overslept.

Skidding around the corner to pass through the door, and almost landing into Hayzie in the process, Carmen waved her arms either side of the gryffindore prefect to perfect her balance. Once she had done so, the girl almost toppled backwards. What was with her today? She sat herself down next to Hayzie, "I hope you don't mind. Long time no see!" the girl grinned widely. Deciding to get the easy stuff out of the way first, Carmen completed the essay part of the work, though didn't hand it in just yet. Carmen Thompson Hufflepuff House Potions 1) How long have you been at Magic Horizons? I’ve been at Magic Horizons since January this year, and I am terribly sorry that next year will be my last here. 2) What are your favourite subjects, and why? Care of Magical Creatures, because I love animals and various creatures of all shape, size and texture. I have a habit of just sitting there and watching an animal do its natural things, like grazing or flying. I always carry a notepad and pen on me if I want to write down something I never knew about a particular animal too. 3) Why are you taking Potions as a subject? I’m taking it because learning how to create potions and concoctions is a very handy thing to learn, and the effects of some potions are astounding! I find this subject entirely interesting. 4) Tell me something unique about yourself, in as many words as you like. Well, obviously I have blue hair! I am from Australia, and only just moved to England this year with my father and step mother, and I’m muggle born, so this world is absolutely fascinating to me, no matter how much it seems boring to other witches and wizards. So thus I’m having a ball learning about everything in this magical world. I never knew that it even existed of course, and also finding out that my favourite mythical creatures actually live is an amazing feeling. Professor Aecus says: "Great! Another Hufflepuff in the class! I thought we were running a bit low... well, obviously your essay and potion are both superb, so 20 points to Hufflepuff house!"

"It has been a while!" Hayzie laughed. Carmen was one person who could bring a smile to her face with no effort at all. Maybe the lesson would be half bearable with her there. Taking note of the questions the Professor had put on the board, the blonde Prefect decided to work on those before the actual potion itself. Easy things first.
Removing a quill from her quill case, she began to write in her usual small handwriting...
Hayzie Roberts - Gryffindor Potions questions
1. How long have you been at Magic Horizons? I would say... perhaps... a little over two years now... not much over, but a little over, definitely!
2. What are your favorite subjects, and why? Charms is without a doubt my favorite subject because I find it interesting and they can be used in every day life easily, both for causing mischief... (not that you just read that, Sir), but also for more useful, practical matters.
3. Why are you taking Potions as a subject? Well... I'm not exactly sure. Perhaps it's to see just how many times I manage to blow up the classroom before the year's out. I'm in my second year of NEWTs, and I think I got onto the course on sympathy vote. However I think that it will probably be needed to get into a career in magic, so really... I thought it would be best to take it.
4. Tell me something about yourself in as many words as you like. What is there to say, Sir? I have a habit of finding trouble in the most random of places, I've been a Prefect for a while for the Gryffindor house, I used to be a Chaser on the Quidditch team, but I've still retained my post as Assistant Captain... I enjoy Charms and visiting Hogsmeade and spending time with my friends.
Looking back over to Carmen who had also finished her questions, Hayz smiled and said: "Any chance you want to work together on the potion? I can't mix one to save my life!" Of course, there was no pun intended, but the blonde still instantly kicked herself for her wording.
Professor Aecus says: "Ah, Miss Hayzie, what a pleasure it is to have you in my class. Full marks, naturally. I hope to see you in my next lesson!"
