Nadea came into her Muggles Studies Class 1 late, she sat beside sen.
"Hey." she said quietly.
Nadea saw what the other students were doing, and she took out her qull and parchment, and started on her assignment.
Naeda Ravenclaw
I feel that muggles and wizards/witches are equally foolish. We both have people who are mean, untrustworthy, dumb and foolish, through our actions. Also we both have many people who think they are better then any other species on Earth, which is pretty foolish since we don't know who is more superior.
Muggles have to do things without the use of magic. Therefore I think they are intelligent with the amount of technology they have come up with, with just the brain. Meanwhile, there are some obvious things that they don't take notice to, and they just assume things. For instance the typical witch is green with warts and a black cat. That is definately not true, so that is foolish.
Wizards and witches can see beyond their noses, which muggles usually can't. Also they do many things with magic, which makes things much easier, and they their brain less.
In the end, both muggles and witches/wizards are foolish in their own and similiar ways. We both solve and make problems. That concludes my point of view and thoughts on the topic of foolishness.
Ondrea placed her quill down and re-read her assignment, thinking it was fine, she handed it in to the teacher.
"Hi, my name is Nadea." Nadea said in her normal shy voice, then went back to sitting down beside sen.

Jade walked into muggle studies. She was the only slytherin there. She listened to the Proffesor, and took out a quil and parchment.
Name:Jade Greenwood House:Slytherin Muggle studies
First of all, the muggle world is no different than ours. They just don't use magic. Their are evil people, and good people. Just like in our world. People in our world don't like them because they just don't understand them. If muggles understood our world why would they be afraid. People are afraid of things they don't understand. This goes for all. Muggles and Witches and Wizards.
Second, muggles have made so many great things that even wizards use. Just think if we didn't use utensils because muggles did. Just think how messy that would be, eating with our hands. Muggles have painted pictures, written plays, compositions, operas, and written so many great books. Many of them were geniuses. Like Mozart, Aristotle, Sacrates, Leonardo de Vinchi.
Finally, before we become equal with muggles, we have to be equal with ourselves. Who cares about pure bloods, half blood, or muggle borns. We all have wizarding blood in ourselves. We are all the same. We all have the same blood. Thats why we're untited in this school. All different families, but that shouldn't matter. Somebody with the nicest parents could be the meanest person ever. Somebody with arrogant, mean parents could be the nicest person you'll ever meet. We should all just work together, and who cares about blood, beacuse it's not that important.

Dovie Bell, Gryffindor Muggle Studies, Assignment #1
Question: How do you view the Muggle World?
Answer:
The muggle world is very different from the wizarding world. In the wizarding world, we get around by flight with magic, and muggles get around in polution-inducing vehicles like cars and planes, though I must say it's rather ingenious of them to have come up with something that moves so fast over ground. However, I'm guessing by our view on the muggle world, the intent is to have us think on how we view actual muggles, and not just how they live without magic. I personally view muggles just as I do wizards; they can both be foolish, prideful, arrogant, and meterialistic or kind, helpful, caring, and happy. Prejudices exist in both worlds. Racism, sex descrimination, and sexual orientation is usually found mainly in the muggle world, while the pureblood factor reigns in this one. Sex descrimination, racism, and sexual orientation can also exist in this world, especially in haughty high-class pureblood families who think women are subservient, people of different colored skin are savage, and anything going against heterosexuality condemns one to hell. Misconceptions abound in both worlds. Usually those of higher classes (this including both worlds) are very haughty, preferring to keep their noses in the air at those below, and even above, their status. They are usually very materialistic, and put more stock in money and wealth than anything else. Then, there are those in both worlds who feel everyone should be, or are, equal to one another. Sure, they undergo stress and scrutiny for their beliefs on many fronts, but are usually happier people for having spoken their mind and standing up for what they believe in. All in all, I guess you could say I see it the same as I see this world, though I lean a bit more towards the muggle world because I know people that are much gentler than most wizards I've met. There are things that make me cringe in each world, and redeeming factors in each world. People like those in my culture highly redeem the "muggle" world, and people like a one Miss Hayzie, Sylph, Ashlle, Pika, and many more raise my hope for this one.
[glow=purple,2,300]Phew, I really don't like writing... Dovie thought as she set her quill down and headed to the front. She placed her paper in a small stack at the corner of the Professor's desk, her hands clasped in front of her afterwards, and asked a question. "I was wondering..." Dovie's eyes drifted over to the train. "Do you like those in particular or anything...?"[/glow]
[glow=orange,2,300]A few spelling mistakes but really it’s one of the most well written papers. Well done!

OOC: Edit: Corrected those typos, I was a bit upset when I typed it up b/c the computer randomly closed the page (this one) when I was typing my response. ^^"

While trying to pay attention to the words of their new teacher, Daniela tried to reconstruct her expectations of that class in her mind. Her green orbs lost focus for a while as she wondered about the reason of her taking the class from the start.
The blonde Gryffindor was a muggle herself once, before coming here and turning into a lycan. Therefore, she wasn't really need to know nothing about them...Still, Daniela decided to stay at the classroom, and watch how the wizards see the muggles from here.
Slowly, she pulled out a piece of parchment, smirking lightly and starting to write her opinions in a limited amount of words as possible.
Daniela Turner Gryffindor
Muggles from all the eras, had trouble with accepting magic as a way of life. For example, the 15 century, when the life capacity of a witch or a wizard did not overcome half an hour, speaking with exaggeration of course.
With time, the ability to accept magic faded away, and appeared the famous hem of- "magic is a fairytale." For them, magic and as well as faries are within the realms of a bed-time story. Moreover, along with the fairies, magic exists, as we know. Muggles, in my opinion cannot understand something that they are not exposed to ever day. As magic is well hidden, I think that the ability to cast spells and everything that comes with it, is beyond them.
I believe that it is important for us, wizards, to understand that absence from their side, to keep the balance between the two worlds. Muggles Studies is a very important class, especially for pure- blooded wizards, which were never exposed to regular life and do not understand the nature of the non- magical population.
That effort from out side, will probably keep the events of the 15 century from coming back again, which from my point of view could be a possibility that flowing out of fear of the unknown, the 'normal', and everything beyond it.

[OOC: This is the last call for this part of the lesson. Part two starts tomorrow!!!]
Ginerva watched as her students handed up paper after paper and she made notes and graded each of them with her class time. Before passing the papers back out she stood and addressed the class, “If anyone else has a paper to turn in please do so now.”

Belldandy takes her seat and listens to the assignment that Ms. Spring gives the class. She likes the way that the professor leads the class into the topic even before she enters the room. Reflect on the normal world? That should be rather easy, considering I didn't even know about this one until three months ago. I'm still not used to calling my old friends muggles. Belldandy gets out her pen, she never did get used to using quills, and starts writing. Muggle Studies Belldandy Asa Ravenclaw
I, having been raised as a muggle would, might have a unique perspective on the workings of muggle life. The first thing that I would note is that most muggles would resent having such a mundane title. The vast majority of people outside the Wizarding world, unfortunately, do not believe in the existance of magic- this loss of imagination causes those great many of people to lead dull, unhappy lives. However, in refusing to believe in magic, they rationalize everything they see. For example, if a young wizard accidentally cast a luminosity spell in front of such a muggle, the muggle would remember the incident only as someone turning on a flashlight. There are those who still believe in the existance of magic and those who use them. Their ideas of us are actually not far from the truth, at least not the ones that I have encountered. Those few see us as people who are trying to find a different type of learning, which isn't too far from the truth. That whole 'splash them with water and they'll melt' line was actually a metaphor. The Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz was representative of the West, and she melted because if the west became irrigated, then the hardships there would virtually disappear. The muggles that I know would actually welcome the introduction of magic into their lives, and they believe that the blending of a magical culture and their own would actually benifit the both of them.

Alex ran as silent as she could down the corridors toward the Muggle Studies classroom, her hair flying freely around her. She'd woken up for about five minutes ago. She opened the door quietly and peeked inside. The class had started, but the teacher had just started to talk, it seemed. Great! Late at my first day... she thought grimly while finding a desk.
"I'm sorry I'm late, Professor, but I didn't hear the alarm clock," she said with a thin voice. After the teacher was finished talking, Alex took out quill and parchment and began writing.
Alexandra Lyn Hufflepuff
The Muggle World isn't that different from the Wizard world. Sure, they've got a lot of things that we haven't and the other way round. But both Muggles and Wizards are humans, and both feel grief and joy. I grew up in a Muggle family, and know how Muggles react on different situations. When I came here, I realized that Wizards react in the same way as Muggles.
Alex stopped writing, wondering what else she should write. When reading through the things she'd already written, she sighed. This was way too bad for an essay.
The Muggles believes that magic is just fictional. Many of them wish that it was real, but they 'know' that it isn't. Wizards, on the other hand, lives with magic around them every day. This, I think, is the main difference between Muggles and Wizards. Also, Muggles have a lot of things, such as Televisions, computers and cars, that Wizards don't need because they have other ways to keep them updated on what's going on around the world.
The blonde lay down her quill and re-read the text she'd written. I hope this is enough, she thought while giving the essay to the Professor.

After the last few students had turned in her work Ginerva graded them and then passed back all of her papers. On the parchment written in sparkling orange were the student’s grade as well as a note. “These papers were, for the most part, very well written,” Ginerva announced as she walked through the rows of student desks passing the papers out.
“I felt as though you all really stated your feelings well. I also found many different reactions to my question. Well done!” Ginerva concluded and she smiled at her students. “Now it is time for our next assignment.”
Ginerva walked up to her desk and reached into her brown box. Out of it she pulled one muggle watch, “Please bare with me on this assignment as these muggle watches are some of the only contraption that I could find that would work at Magic Horizons. For those of you who have read up on school history you know that muggle inventions rarely work on school grounds because of the magic in the air.”
A few students gave her a look of interest because they didn’t no that, others shrugged because it wasn’t that surprising. Ginerva took one good look at the watch in her hand then she tossed it to a near by student, then she reached into the box again and tossed them a brown pouch, “Each of you will need to get a watch and take it back to your desk. You may take the watch apart using the tools in your pouch. Then you and a partner will pull out some parchment and make a list of some of the small parts of the clock. What are they used for? and what do you think they are made of.”
OOC: Sorry that I was late posting this. You won’t need the class book for this so just pair up and get to work…

Brites had gotten a watch and pouch and looked around. She didn't know anyone in the class, or really anyone in the school. She then spotted a girl sitting at their desk quietly. She walked over to her and smiled warmly.
"Hi, I'm Brites. Who are you, and you you like to be my partner for this assignment?" Brites asked in a bit of a rush. She was slightly nervous. Even though she was outgoing, it didn't mean she was any good at social encounters.

She pulled out her parchment and quill, not sure what to write at first. She thought of all the things she had heard about Muggles, the few people that she had met that grew up around Muggles. With a simple sigh, she began to write.
[glow=blue,2,300]Xarian Heart Ravenclaw House Muggle Studies
Whenever I think of Muggles, one word comes to my mind. Work. Without the use of magic to aide them, it seems to me like Muggles have to do a lot of work and inventing to do simple tasks. We need only a broom to fly, they need large airplanes and strange balloons.
I feel sorry for them really. They are just like us, except no cleaning spell, it's all scrubbing, no quidditch it's football. It's not that I believe that Muggles are foolish, just hard workers. Sometimes when you look at people that aren't capable of the same things as you, then they seem primitive or foolish.
As for their disbelief in magic and us, that means we're doing a good job. If we're trying to keep our world a secret from Muggles, then them not knowing means all our hard work and strict rules are paying off.
In the end, we are both sharing a planet. We do the same things and deal with the same problems, only in different ways.[/glow]
