So, no one wanted to play. Sulking as people entered the room, Hayz decided to keep it in mind for later, especially as the words from the Slytherin hit her ears.
He could make her walk again? Even if only for a few hours. The last time the blonde girl was granted the power of walking was during a battle with Eurus which she had lost. Jenna was one girl Hayz was never going to forget... never.
Looking beside her where Sirese stood with widened green eyes, the blonde girl tried to make sense of what the Slytherin had just said. He could give her use of her legs... what a gift... if only it was true. But the risks... what if something went wrong?
Hayz you're a Gryffindor. You take risks. You died as a risk... stop being stupid! she told herself, trying to convince herself that it would all be okay.
"I..." she started, trying to think of something to say which would come out better than how it sounded in her head. Something better than the serious doubts that were running through her mind at that moment. "I.." the blonde started again, her expression similar to a deer caught in headlights. Finally she took a deep breath, and gave her final answer.
"I'd love to."

Sirese gave her a warm smile to show her he meant no harm and that he would be gentle and careful with this spell. He could feel her nervousness and he knew she had her reasons to be, strange spells could backfire horribly. He trusted his self and his grandfather's wisdom had yet to fail him. He pulled the green backed book into view and flipped it to the page needed rereading the spell quickly.
He toke his wand out and focused on the doll needed it had a simple incantation to conjure the doll. 'advoco pupa' he said. In a dull flash of light and a little swirl of smoke a doll appeared in front of Hayzie its back to her, it had no face or clothing, or hair. He looked back at Hayzie and saw the doll was roughly her size if she were standing.
He placed the tip of his wand to her forehead "This will only take a second." He assured her calming drawing a circle and a few simple strokes threw it. He toke a deep breath and focused on the words 'Ego dico ut phasmatis ut sedeo inside , eo versus quod terminus in sedeo.' He he thought those words he lifted the wand tip from her head, a thin green line followed it he placed the wand on a seal on the back of the head of the doll. When he pulled the wand tip away a small green light moved up the thread like line.
He watched it for a second which was all it would take for it to travel the short distance. The doll began instantly to change as the light entered it. The doll's body instantly was clothed in the same as Hayzie wore now, her locks seemed to be mirrored in the doll. And in the final step the face that formed on the doll was that of the girl not half a dozen feet behind it. He finally released his breath not noticing till then that he had held his breath the whole time. The doll looked like the girl in the wheelchair, down to her tiniest flaw. "Try to move." He said softly, as if scared that he spoke to loudly the spell would be broken.

Hayzie almost flinched backwards as the tip of the wand rested against her forehead. The blonde could feel the magic waiting to come out as though it was already within her, as though it was she waiting to cast the spell rather than Sirese.
Holding her breath as the magic weaved within her, not noticing anyone else inside the dance hall, green eyes closed, not aware of anything until she opened her eyes once more. Within seconds, Hayzie was aware of her legs once more, she could feel the fabric of her dress against her legs, aware that air was rushing past her calves. And as she looked down, expecting to see her knees, the blonde girl jumped backwards a little. "You... you did it," she whispered, her voice barely audible as tears threatened to prickle in her eyes.
He'd done it. He'd got her standing. Looking around the hall from her new perspective, Hayz saw herself, but not herself, asleep in her wheelchair, the wheelchair she was free from for the next... how long would it last?
"Thank you," she answered, Hayz's eyes looking into his. "This has to be one of the best Christmas gifts ever."

Sirese smiled brightly at her. It was true what they said, giving was much better then receiving and seeing the look in Hayzie's eyes was the best gift he could have gotten. He still worried about the aftereffects on her psyche but that could and would wait till later she had three hours to dance and walk and he would not waste them by causing her to worry.
He pocketed both the wand and book in his cloak pocket while he smiled at her. "Merry Christmas." He said with a little laugh. He held his hand out to her "Do you still wanna dance?" He ask her gently knowing she must be so excited to be able to walk again, even for a short time.

Hayzie nodded as Sirese asked her to dance. Taking his proffered hand, the blonde wondered how this would do for inter-house relations between Gryffindors and Slytherins. Probably a little well, until they met in Quidditch.
But never mind that, the band had just struck up a song. Giving the pinata a quick glance, Hayz knew she would have to come back to that later on.

Sirese glanced at the Pinata and gave her a wicked smile before leading her out onto the dance floor. He could tell her spirit was much like his, playful restless alto of the time. He listened to the beat of the song to get the steps down, this toke only a second which he got as he leaded her to the dance floor.
He was never once for public or social events but he was glad he had come to this event. He had been able to give someone a very kind gift, and he gave a dance to boot tonight seemed to be going well for him. He gave her a bright smile "So, how do you like Christmas so far." He ask her playfully trying to start up a conversation on the dance floor as they began to move to the music.
He could dance, not overly well but he liked it. He excpecially enjoyed it when he was dancing with a beautiful girl like he was tonight. "you look very nice tonight." He complimented her with another smile.

Now, remembering how to dance.
As Sirese began to lead the dance, Hayzie got the hang of it pretty quickly. They always used to practise in the common room just before balls, and so it was easy to pick up again and to the blonde, it felt like the best thing in the whole world.
"It's been good," Hayzie answered, choosing to ignore her parents half-recognition. Though the surprise in the commonroom had been very welcomed indeed. "It just got a whole lot better, though, as you can imagine," she smiled, twirling out as the music began to speed up a tiny bit, before reverting back to its usual rythm.
As Hayz came back, her cheeks flushed pink at the complimet. She had only gone simple for the night, her green dress stopping just below her knees and her shoes very plain indeed. "Thank you, you're not looking so bad yourself," she laughed, the music slowing down a little furthur.
"How about you? Are you a Christmas person? Or Scrooge?"

Sirese watched her for a moment then smiled as her answer. "Thats good.." He said with a smile "I mean that your good." he corrected blushing slightly. He found it wonderful how easy she had remembered to dance and how she could keep up witht he beat and tune of the music. He smiled at her for a second "Oh definatly a christmas person." he assured her with a laugh "Why else would I come to this dance?".
He found it funny because he had always been a christmas person and he had considered not coming to the ball, insteady to study but he was glad now that he decided to skip study and dance. He spun her out and into his arms as the music picked up for several moments before calming down again he blushed "Sorry." He said with a little laugh at the spinning. "Dizzy?" He ask her playfully.
He looked her over again, she did look pretty even if she had tried to dress down she would have looked great and he blushed a little when she had said he looked nice to.

"A little," Hayzie answered, stopping for a few seconds while she tried to regain her footing. "You have no idea how weird this is," she carried on, breathing slowly. It really was strange to think that she had thought tonight would be all about sitting to one side and watching everyone else dance, while she sat there wishing to dance but not being able to.
Thinking on the answer to his question, Hayzie replied: "Well, I know of some poeple who despise Christmas, but I'm sure some people will make them come along," she grinned, thinking of one in particular Ravenclaw Prefect she had heard was reluctant to go to the ball.
Looking back over at Amy, Hayz could see her talking to Kasey and felt bad that she had abandoned her friend to dance with someone she had only just had the pleasure of meeting.
Turning back to Sirese, finally having lost the dizzy feeling, the blonde sighed. She was loving it, but it wouldn't last forever.

Sirese watched her reaction he had a natural talent for reading people. He He saw she was happy but nervous and slightly ashamed at leaving her friend. He saw her glance back at the professor whom she had entered with. He had to admit he knew the professor would understand this, it was something she could not deny her friend.
"Yeah some people have bad memories or feel that they are to different to be able to enjoy this time of year." He agreed knowing a few people back home that where the same way.
When she was done looking in the direction of her Professor friend he gave her a bright warm smile. they continued to dance some more, he could tell she loved it, she was not trying to hide that but the sadness was still in her eyes, the sadness of losing this after only a few hours of this bliss. "If you want I can try to find a spell, or create a new one that could keep you like this." He said softly "Allow you to walk I mean."

ooc: Since it never was specified as to what the band played; I am going to have a little fun with that; so I hope you didn't think that I would let you all have so much fun without me Ic: When the band had finished several of their songs and pieces, the musicians pulled out their wands and soon the instruments that they currently had played turned into instruments that made up a chamber orchestra. And the notes on the sheet music that they originally had morphed into something from a more refinded age. When great composers made some of the most brilliant compositions in the entire existence of Mankind. The classical era of Music and when of the greatest pieces, the Barber of Seville, just started to play as the doors to the Dance Hall opened on their hinges. It was hard to make out who was opening those doors, for the shadows that the door cast distorted the face of the being and made him seem larger than life. The very contours of his face were darkened and for a few seconds, the being that opened the doors with agonizing slowness seemed as if he was not of this Earth; yet this was not true. No matter how many stories circulated about him; there was only bit of truth to those exaggerated tales of his exploits. Humans were the enemy and the enemy needed to be dealt with. At long last, the doors parted and the being walked a few steps into the Dance Hall; halting as he observed the crowd. And the music played on, for the musicians took no notice of this new arrival, yet that was a blessing in a sense. They didn't know what the being had in mind for this evening's festivities, and that was his ace. There stood Fenris Fenrir, Lord of the Hunt and he was dressed to kill. His hair had been meticulously combed back; even the leaves and other items from the Forbidden Forest had been pulled out. He still donned the traditional, black overcoat with the three straps (one on the neck' the others over each shoulder). Beneath the overcoat; well, that was a surprise for when the moment was right. With his facial expressions feigning both amusement and sincerity, Fenrir stepped forward with the sound of his military-esque boots clicking soundly on the floor as he made a small circle, observing all, and then headed back to the door. And there he waited; he was not alone this time. He had brought tickets for two and his guest should be arriving any minute. And he was relatively safe; should anyone recognize him; they would have be either able to read minds or they were the new Sherlock Holmes. Standing attently at the doorway; Fenrir awaited his partner for the evening; whether for dancing or all sorts of devilry.

As she awaited a response from Amy, Kasey served herself a glass of punch and her eyes drifted back over to Hayzie and the boy, but wait where was the blonde Prefect? The nurse could see her wheelchair but clearly Hayzie was not in it. Looking around the Dance Hall the next thing the blonde Hufflepuff saw froze her to the spot. Her sapphire eyes widened and the glass slipped from her fingers and smashed against the floor, this happened in slow motion for Kasey as she watched in disbelief as her eyes followed Hayzie dancing around the floor.
Grabbing at the air beside her, Kasey soon found Amy's arm and shook it frantically "Amy, Amy, Amy, look, look, Hayzie" was all the Hufflepuff could manage to get out as her eyes refused to unlock from the scene of her friend dancing and twirling around to the music.

Galanor watched as the band shifted. Perfect, she thought. Just like the times of old, when I was young... What is a ball without classical? She shook her head slightly. "Very nice change of music." She said aloud to no one, before taking another sip of her pumpkin juice.
She had actually happened to be standing rather close to the ballroom doors as Fenris appeared. Slightly, but not really, alerted, she looked at the door, at him. Of course, her inexperience with the castle, she couldn't possibly have known him anyway... She wasn't suspicious at all, but something nagged at the back of her head. She ignored it and continued to watch the rest of them enjoy themselves, back to Fenris.

OOC: can I just say bravo to you Fenris? Barber of Seville? 'Tis perfect sir!
And the MH nurse was not the only one with mouth agape at the 'new' Hayzie. Sylph had been about to comment on the 'toys' which her friend had conjured, sure of some trickery about them, but before she could the Slytherin boy - Sirese, was it? - had muttered something beneath his breath, transforming their beloved prefect into a twirling, talking, breathing, walking, living doll. Resisting the urge to sing words to the such (though she in fact hated the music of Cliff Richard), Sylph stared. The look on doll-Hayzie's face was one of pure joy, and Sylph was glad for her. For a moment she watched with rapt attention, but forced herself to tear her eyes from the couple eventually; her friend may be excited at this development in her motility, but no doubt she'd take exception to having everyone gawk at her like that.
In the mean time, Sylph ran over a few things in her head. So this Amy girl was in fact the Professor that had been taken by that lycan, Fenris Fenrir. Well, at least she seemed alright now, as indeed did Hayzie. What did that mean? Had they been let go on purpose, or had their captor failed? And then there was that something ringing in her ears about Hayzie's comment about Professor Azrael. And now something else...
A sudden prickling on the back of her neck told Sylph there was something wrong here. She twisted and turned her head, craning her neck around and above the throng of people, but she couldn't discern the source of her peculiar suspicion. Seer she may have been, but physic intuition was another thing entirely, and it was never as specific as you wanted it to be. She began to wander through the hall, weaving in and out of the happy dancers, her sharp eyes peering at one and all, until she reached the doors once more. There stood a man she did not recognise. He was older than most here; in his thirties, Sylph thought, and therefore probably just another new Professor she was as of yet unaware of. But to Sylph's senses there was something that failed to ring true about him. Pretending to see someone beckon her from over the man's shoulder, Sylph walked straight towards him, brushing his arm as she passed in the hope that maybe she'd be able to gauge more if she went closer.
"Nice boots," she murmured with a wry smile as she passed. But it was all in vain; still her psychic senses were failing her. All she knew, well, all she thought, rather, was that he didn't belong here, at this school, much less at this dance.
Catching up with Ashlle again she forced herself to ignore her 'ely', as she always called them (an ely by definition of The Meaning of Liff is "the sudden sinking feeling that something, somewhere, has gone horribly wrong." Sylph was used to having elys), instead grinning at her companion and jerking her head in Hayzie's direction.
"Looks happy doesn't she? For a doll, I mean."

She spread kohl eyeliner along her eyes, sighing at the deed she did so often. She traced it around the insides of her entire eye, defining the interesting, almost cat-like shape. She placed it on her lower, outer lid this time, only slight, than grabbing an eyeliner brush she smudged the eyeliner, giving her eyes a smoky effect. She pondered eye shadow, but when looking at her dress she decided against it…there was a possibility she might clash. The demoness grabbed her mascara, adding to coats to each eye. Realizing she was quite late, as her crimson eyes darted to the clock, she jumped from her seat, throwing her dress on. Her appearance wasn’t too different, she usually always wore skirts, and plenty of makeup…she just looked more classy. The dress had darker colors, and weren’t as ‘gothic’ or ‘punk’ as Xailyn would usually dress. The demoness pulled on the red dress, which was surprising; normally it would be her usual acid green color, to match the streaks in her hair. But this time she make her acid streaks basically invisible, she tucked her hair into a slightly off to the side ponytail, adding random curls. Her eyes fell across her form, looking heavily into the long mirror. She shrugged - it would have to do. Besides, her date probably wouldn’t care. A small smirk fell across her pale lips. Xailyn turned on her heel, now facing a girl that lay changed on her bed. The demoness walked over to her, giving her a quick kiss to the forehead. She cracked the chain with her bare hands, releasing the girl. “Thanks for letting me borrow your room,” she said, with a wink. With that she strutted out of the room – as if nothing out of the ordinary happened. It wasn’t long before she was opening the door, hearing the low beat of classical music. A slight smile appeared on her lips as she walked in. She looked around slightly, before looking at the man basically beside her. As she studied his features for at least 30 seconds, she realized who in fact it was. Her mouth hung slightly ajar, before she coughed and regained her composure. “Hello, Fenris,” she said, with a nod, but couldn’t resist the smile that instantly swept across her face. He looked so…unnatural – for him anyway, but, she couldn’t help but think, “Wow, I like that look on you,” oops…did she say that? Not that it was anything extreme, it’s just that they had barely spoken, and—“So, are we going to lay low for a bit?” she asked him, she thought it was a good idea, then people would lose their guard, and it would be easier. But challenges were always fun. Xailyn glanced again at the unlikely appearance of Fenris, it was interesting.
