Yeah, I write poetry. Nothing wonderfully amazing, or even always in the same style, but I figured I might share some. No one is forcing you to read it after all. This first one's called deathI hate The Battlefield
Every man killed Was sent into the Land of the Dead Too Soon
So many Of the Warriors Were found to be only Boys
And the Grave Diggers have all Too much Work To do
And this second one is called bloodAnd the Blood fell Like Rain Slowly through the Forest Canopy
And the Scent Wafted Between the Trees
Despite the heavy Woodland Mist

Thanks, really. They're something I just spewed out one day and wrote down, I have others. This one's called A Final TollEach night I ring my death-knell And hope to God I’m right It’s a quiet little toll I send A rolling through the night
Only I can hear it It’s sadistic, mournful tune Though I fancy there is an echo Coming back from ‘cross the moon
I think God does not like it How often it doth ring But what reason is there left to me? What cause for me to sing?
I s’pose I’ll find a reason I’d better anyway Else wise my friends will continue on Nagging me all the day.

Thanks, well, to change the tone of the poetry in this thread, here's one I wrote for my Father for Christmas (he asked for something I did for myself so...*shrug* he liked it)
Christmas is a Time
Christmas is a time Of giving Of sharing Of laughing Of loving
Christmas is a time Of large gifts Of small gifts Of handmade gifts Of the greatest gift
Christmas is a time Many commercialise Many forget Many ignore Many reject
Christmas is a time Of rest Of too much turkey Of strangely energetic small people Of contented smiles
Christmas is a time Of telling your family that you love them Of hearing your family say they love you too Of seeing relatives you haven’t for a while Of wasting time with those closest to you
Christmas is a time Of church Of rejoicing Of God Of Christ
