If anyone hasn't seen this wonderfull movie you should! I seen it last night and I was blown away. You all really should go see this movie! But see Harry Potter: And The Goblet Of Fire first if you still haven't. Which you should be put to shame if you haven't! For shame!!!

I want to see Memoirs of a Geisha, but we usually don't go out to see many movies. Is it as good as it seems?

My cousins live in the same state as Dante, and I live just north of that.^^
Do you live in Australia? That's how it was with Harry Potter.

I've got quite a few friends who have seen it and they said it's very good. I just went to see King Kong last night, though, and that was amazing. Very good, some parts were really creepy. Especially when they first get on Skull Island and all those people attack them...Ugh. I didn't sleep at all last night.

I didn't know it was a book either. I can't wait until it comes out on DVD. I'm definately getting it. ^_^ I'm also hoping to get Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire on DVD.

How far away is Kentucky? ummmm....well, I've never been (to America at all), but I'm pretty sure it's hours and hours and hours away even travelling by plane! Nope, not from Australia, I'm from Ireland. I didn't know it was a book either, now I want to see the film after reading this thread, but I also like to read the book first...so I can do that before it arrives here! I don't think it's going to be released for a good few months!

Well, I know that Kentucky is about 7-8 hours by plane from France, because I'm going there this summer for a school trip. So...Probably tack on another hour for Ireland. I'd say 8-9 hours by plane.
Sorry, I just wanted to answer your question. Heh. >.>

If I were you, I'd read the book before seeing the movie. That's what I always try to do- the book always gives you more information, while the movie tends to have to chop things out.

I saw the book displayed on top of the shelves where they apparently display books that are being turned into movies. I didn't know. Anyway, so I checked it out, and the librarian (who knows me well enough that I never tell her my name, she holds books that she knows I'd like for me, and she brought me an advanced reading copy of a vampire book) was like 'Going to read it before you see the movie, then?' and I, after staring at her blankly for a few seconds, vaguely remembered seeing previews at some point in time.
So I read it, and now I must wait for it to get to this hole-in-the-wall town.

I saw it with my beloved, and we both loved it. I obtained my own copy of the book as a gift recently so I intend on reading it as well. The movie, though, was done so artfully. It was breathtaking throughout. Very heartbreaking in parts, but the ending was lovely. (Dabs eyes with tissue.)
