Hi everyone. -waves- My name is Faerlain... and I'm an MH-aholic. Um... no. Not really. Wait... I really am. But that's beside the point. I've noticed too many kids these days not doing what they love. -nods- If you love to play baseball, play baseball. Love to dance, dance. Love to swim, then swim. Stop caring about other things. Do what you love. And that's the point of this lovely message, brought to you by me. This weekend, I will be doing what I love, which is trying out for Jersey Surf Drum and Bugle Corp, to be in their colorguard [don't think I can play a musical instrument.... 'cause... I can't. XD]. Annnnndddd, if they take me, I get to go on tour alllllll summer, and go all over the US. But yes. Just for this weekend, I'll be gone. My apologies to anyone I'm involved in threads with, I'll reply as soon as I get home. Loves, Faye/Kathie

Cool!!
That sounds like a lot of fun!! Go out there and dance (which is what I'm guessing colorguard does. Over here, we call them flags.) your heart out.

Aw, thankies. ^^ I'm just sitting here, chewing at my nails and being unable to sleep... heh. Even though my instructor from my school's colorguard pretty much said I would do okay... I'm just hoping that the next two days aren't the kind of days where I can't learn anything.
So I guess I'll go and force myself to sleep now. I luff you all. ^_^

I hope my good luck message isn't too late! I just wanted to tell you there's nothing like touring the US. I'm on the AAU national team for Tumbling and Trampoline, and we're touring with some Flag troup this year. Well, it's awesome, and I hope you make it because there's nothing like it in the whole world!

Thank you. ^_^
Yup, there really is nothing like going on tour.
In otherwords, I was accepted into the Jersey Surf. The tour is eighteen days long, and there's a mini tour as well... and ohh, seems like so much fun. They accepted all the colorguard girls- around 35 showed up, but they figured some wouldn't like it and would wind up not joining. The drumline, however... WOW. They had at least 25 snare drums trying for no more than ten spots.
Crazy-ness.

Congrats, and I'm so happy for you! When I tried out for AAU national team it was awful. They only take the top three girls in each event and the top guy. It's really stressful, so I'm glad you made it. Just remember to sleep, and don't get rooms near elevators!

Wow... that really sucks. I don't know how I'd do if they had cut people from the team.. I'm an excellent dancer, but that's my only really strong point. If they had cut some people, I may have been one of them. But nobody was like... super oh-my-gosh amazing either.
And I've always wanted to try doing that trampoline thing... or maybe doing some tumbling. It sounds like fun.
And thank you. I'm wearing my Jersey Surf '06 shirt right now and I'm going to wear it tommorow too, 'cause I'm so happy. -clings to shirt-

Thanks Kasey ^_^ -hugs muchly-
Tour's not till July, so I've got a bit of time to wait. And before tour comes all the hard work of putting the show together, which can be a pain at times.
