Aridan had been planning this night sense his first few moments in the school. He was extremely giddy that Rayne had said yes to his date offer. Honestly he thought she would say no and say she was busy. He had a smile on his face ever sense then.
He had been sure to reserve a table at the Three Broomsticks. He had also made sure the letter saying when he would be around to pick her up was sent by the cutest little owl he could find. He knew Rayne normally didn't act like she would like something like that but he thought it would be nice.
He made sure to wear his best clothes, he also wore his best cloak. It was a shade or two lighter then navy blue and it glittered all over. He made sure he had loads of money, he remember she was a shop-a-holic. He had already went to a nice place in Daigon Alley the day before to get a nice little gift for Rayne.
He stood at the edge of town, were he had arranged to meet Rayne, He figured it was better then if he tried to go meet her at her place. He had heard of the tunnels from a fellow Ravenclaw, but he had not pieced what hayzie was from it.

I'm late, I'm late.. she thought in frustration. She'd dozed off in the little cave by the stream that now served as her home. She wasn't even tired, she'd just been staring into space and boom- she was asleep.
No matter how late she was, she always had to take a look around the cave. It surprised her how cozy she'd managed to make it. She'd bought the furnishings in a little antique shop in diagon alley, somehow managing to get the things deep into the forest. A mahogany table with two matching chairs, a long and plush couch, a spacious armoir, and a full length mirror. And a large birdcage in the corner, with a beautiful grayish-white owl sleeping in it.
Sighing happily, she pulled the lid of her trunk open. Snatching up the first outfit she found, she hurried to put it on. It was a beautiful dress she'd found in a muggle thrift shop weeks ago. White silk flowed to about mid-thigh, strapless, and corset-style from the waist up. Lavender lace here and there, and matching strappy sandals.
Running a comb through her long locks, she shoved the trunk's lid back in place and ran out of the cave. Walking as quickly as possible without getting her outfit dirty, she wove her way through the trees and out of the forest. As she past the gate and reached the path leading into Hogsmeade she slowed her pace.
Spotting Aridan ahead she quickened her pace slightly, finally coming to a stop in front of him. Scanning her gaze over his clothes and robe, a slow smile crept on to her face. Meeting his gaze, she said "Sorry I'm late."

Aridan smiled at her and waved off her apology. He simply stared at her clothes "you look positively gorgeous." he said honestly to her. His eyes moved from the bottom of her dress up to her face. He smiled again "your breathtaking." he said with a grin. And held his hand out to her.
He had most of the evening planned out. He of course never took for granted that something could always happen. His robes hung short on his back, they barely touched the ground. "Muggle dresses do you a great justice." he again said with a smirk.
They were some hundred and twelve feet from the nearest shop or building. "So I already got us a table at the Three Broomsticks for a small drink, then I got some more things planned." he said with a grin and a wink "your going to like tonight i bet." his tone was happy, he just prayed that she was as happy.

"Thank you" she replied, the d@mned ever-present blush creeping into her cheeks "You look very handsome."
"Everything does me great justice." she answered mock-conceitedly, placing her hand in his. "I've no doubt I'm going to enjoy myself tonight. A drink, eh? An alchoholic drink? Trying to get me drunk, are you..?" The last had been added with a wide smile and playful poke. She was determined to make sure they both had fun tonight.

Aridan got the game right off. "Oh heavens no, not at all.. the thought never crossed my mind." he said in a tone that if he had not been forcing it would have sounded like a very very bad lie. He looked away not making eyes contact as he played the little scene out. After he spoke thought he glanced over and caught her eye and smiled.
He walked off down the road slowly her hand in his. He was going to enjoy tonight no matter what, she had already made sure of that by merely saying yes and showing up. Aridan looked at her "Well thats very true, everything looks good on you." he said making sure he had lost the silly tone that he had used moments before.
As they entered the wide streets of the hogsmeade he looked around to find that very few people where out. But he knew that that would change next time he came here with the school. As he made his way past the shop called Honey dukes and the joke shop Zonko's he looked at her and squeezed her hand slightly, not enough for anyone watching to notice but enough for her to.
As they neared the door way he released her hand and went to the door. He smiled at her as he opened the door wide for her. The three shrunken heads on the wall behind the door seemed confused on why students would be out. But as soon as they saw Rayne they seemed to stop talking. Aridan nearly broke out into a fit of laughter. "See your well respected around here."
He proped the door open with his foot and bowed her into the door way "Ladies first." he said with playful grin and making the bow playful to.

Ray stared at the silent shrunken heads, a smirk tugging at her lips. Most things reacted that way when faced with a 'creature'. Despite their being ugly looking little heads, they seemed to react like most of the wizarding population.
"It's not respect..it's fear." she replied, flashing the shrunken heads a smile that showed pearly whites. Teeth that had elongated slightly in the passed seconds, and were now pointed and lethally. But after moments her smile- and teeth- were normal again.
"Always the gentleman." she said, and though her tone was mocking her smile was warm. Passing in front of him, she walked in ahead of him, surveying the warm and bustling atmosphere.
"So what exactly are we going to do after having a drink?" she asked, her feet automatically taking her to an empty table at the far side of the room.

Aridan laughed at her comment about them fearing her “Well I don’t see why, you’re lovely women.” His tone was anything but mocking, and his smile was warm and friendly. He was honestly infatuated with the girl. He looked at the heads and saw them in utter fear of Rayne. “Aw guys she is nice honestly.” He said poking Rayne gently in the side.
He followed her over to the table and pulled her chair out from the table for her. “Well after the drink I was thinking a walk around the place, and maybe something at honey dukes.” He said with a smile as he sat down across from her.
He looked around and saw the waitress coming over towards them. He was going to order a butter beer but he decided to wait for her to order “Ladies first Rayne.”

"You are such an odd human" she stated as she slid into the chair he pulled out for her.
"A fire whiskey for me, and a Butterbeer for him.. he's too young to drink alchohol." she ordered, a smirk forming on her lips.
Drumming her fingers on the table, she watched the waitress go for their drinks. Moving her gaze towards Ari-y (XD), she stared at him curiously. She was glad he'd asked her out, this was sort of her first date. She couldn't remember if she'd ever had any in the past, but that didn't matter now because she'd remember this one.
Tilting her head at an angle, she asked "Why'd you ask me on a date?"

Aridan laughed a bit at Rayne as she ordered a fire whiskey. “Hmm, Wasn’t it you who first made the comment of me wishing to get you drunk?” he said with a sneer. He was joking around lightly, he wanted to keep the mood light and chipper. When she called him an odd human he simply ignored the comments potential rudeness because no such rudeness had been in the tone “Yes my sister says that a lot.”
Aridan had to think about how to answer her question. If he said it in the wrong way it could appear rude and he didn’t want that at all. So he thought for a moment before speaking “Well truthfully.” He started his tone sincere “I sort of had a crush on you sense that little lunch date in Daigon Alley.” He said only blushing slightly.
He looked at her with a smile “Something about you caught my eye, you’re not like other girls I have met.” He said again sounding sincere “And no Rayne it is not because you’re a Lycan.” He added to make sure she didn’t think that was the reason “You hold yourself in a way that is just unique to me, I have never seen a girl act like you do.” He said blushing a little more now “Go on call me a dork I know you want to.”
