When family dies...

[Ariel]

Ariel walked around the graveyard until she stoped at the grave... the grave that held her sister.Ariel stood there for a good 5 minutes staring at the grave and then she fell to her knee's and put her face in her hands. she cried thinking of all the good times she had with her sister. she cried for about another 5 minutes. Ariel heard something and she turned around to see what it was but there was noone. "I better get to class before i get in trouble" she said inbetween sobs, she stood up, turned around and saw...

[~Persephone~]

Persephone had been on her usually visit to her mothers grave. Her customary white roses in her hands, she placed them on her mother's grave.

She looked up to hear sobbing, not uncommon here, but she still thought she should check on who it was. She was shocked to see Ariel there, crouching by the stone of young girl.

"Oh, Ariel...it'll be ok..."she whipsered to her friend.

[Ariel]

Ariel looked up at sophe, her friend and stood up and looked back at the grave "sophe i miss her so much" Ariel said in a whisper. Ariel looked back at sophe and hugged her and started to quiet sob. "i miss her so much!" She said still giving sophe a long hug.

[~Persephone~]

"It's ok. I know how you feel." She rubbed the girls back, like a mother would. She knew how Ariel felt, and whispered carrying words to the girl.
"It'll be ok...you'll see her again someday...."

[Ariel]

Ariel pulled away and looked at sophe "thanks sophe i dont know what i'd do without you." She said a little bit above a whisper."come on we should head back its almost time for class". she said rubbing away the tears on her face.

[~Persephone~]

Persephone looked down at Ariel. She wasn't sure if the girl was alright, but she hoped she was.

"If you think your ready too..."

[Ariel]

"Yea iam ready and besides i dont want to make you late and get into trouble"Ariel said smiling"come on take my hand and lets go"Ariel said "or do you want to go by broom?"

[~Persephone~]

"Walking's ok..." She was still concerened about Ariel, but somehow she knew that the other girl would be alright. People healed when they cried, no matter how much they thought they weren't. She knew that, and someday so would Ariel.

[Ariel]

Ariel smiled.She held back the tears that filled her eyes, not because of her dead sister, but her secret she kept from everybody but her mother and father." Sophe, your my friend, i can trust you right?" Ariel said walking with her firebolt broom on her shoulders"i have to tell you something"She said looking away.

[~Persephone~]

"Of course your my friend. You can tell me everything and anything...and I promise I would never tell a soul."

Persephone looked at Ariel. She could tell that there was something wrong, but she didn't want to push her for it. People were pushed only so far before they broke. She didn't want to do that to her friend.

[Ariel]

Ariel took a deep breathe and spoke " its my fault my sister is dead" Ariel said a little bit above a whisper. a tear slid down her cheek"i...i...i didnt mean to, it sliped" Ariel said as another tear escaped her eye. you can tell Ariel tried hard to keep her tears back, but it was too hard.she spoke again "It all happend when we where practicing spells and i did this spell that stops your heart. But i didnt know that it would do that," Ariel then closed her eyes to prevent from crying even harder than she was already. She didnt want sophe to worry. which she knew that sophe was already worried.

[~Persephone~]

Persephone looked at Ariel. Pity and sorrow filled her eyes. There was a gentleness that surrounded the small girl. She understood where Ariel was coming from. To blame herself for a loved ones death. Sephe blamed herself for the death of her parents. But to know that beyond all doubt it was your fault? Persephone wondered if any words could heal that wound, and knew the answer was no.

"It's ok. I'm sure your sister would understand. It was a mistake. Nothing more, nothing less."

She thought about that for a little bit. How comforting must that sound? She felt like she was wounding her friend even more with her words.

"You learned from this right? You've grown up into a stronger, better, more beautiful person. I'm sure your sister would be proud of you."

What else could she say?

[Ariel]

Ariel had taken all of what sophe had said and all ready she felt better.Ariel looked over at sophe and cracked a small smile"thanks sophe, i feel better now"Ariel said giving an even bigger smile.

[~Persephone~]

"I'm glad. I don't like seeing my friends hurt..." But Persephone smiled too. She hugged her friend, hoping she knew how much she cared for her. Because to Persephone friends were as close to family as she would ever come. The closest she had ever come.

[Ariel]

Ariel smiled"come on, we should head back,i've got a meeting in the gryffindor common room"Ariel said as she smiled
