Kiki decided to escape from the trappings of the Ministry for a few hours - it was a quiet day and nothing too drastic had happened whilst she'd been there, so she had to trust that nothing else would whilst she disappeared. She left a note attached to her door that she was at the school and could be reached by owl. Reaching for her cloak, she pulled her hair out of the bun she'd tied magically that morning and let the wavy cascade of black fall down her back. She ran her hands through it a few times and then threw on a navy cloak. It was a reasonably nice day outside, but nevertheless the weather could change just as rapidly as the mind of a pixie.
She picked up a battered shoulder bag and slung it over her shoulder, leaving her office and disappearing down into the Atrium. She walked through there comfortably, even if her age didn't match the usual appearance of the Ministeress, and then promptly Apparated to the gates of Magic Horizons. Walking through, she wandered around the side of the castle, until the Lake slid sparkling into view. The sun beat down warmly on her back and she meandered toward the banks of the lake, settling down near the shadow of a tree, sitting just in the sun but with the shade in easily reach if she got too warm.
She dropped her bag in the shadow and dug around in the bottom for her reading material. Amongst the scraps and rolls of parchment and bottles of ink that had been tossed in there, she extracted a battered and well-thumbed copy of her favourite Shakespearean play Hamlet. Flicking easily to her favourite scene - Guildernstern and Rosencrantz arriving at Elisinore and the bantering that Hamlet performs with Polonious beforehand - she settled easily onto the grass and began to read, her Australian accent becoming a whispered slightly English one as she did so.
