Wyl trotted down to the Quidditch Pitch happily, hardly worrying whether he won or lost the hunt being held. He pushed his glasses a bit further up his nose and held his wand firmly in his hand as he stepped onto the pitch. He began to look in every concievable place, and some that were perhaps a little more far-fetched.
After awhile of searching, he raised his wand and thought of a spell to use.
"Accio?" he commanded feebly and a hunt of sand flew to him, then stopped halfway and collapsed at his feet.
"Okay, I suppose that won't help," he mused to himself. "It's probably cheating anyway," he tapped his fingers impatiently on his wand and tried to think of a way to find the item, using as much magic as he could. Wyl wasn't very good at magic, he was still mastering many of the spells that he was being taught. But he did know some.
Wondering which ones would be the right ones to use, he absent-mindedly scanned the Pitch again, waiting for some sort of sign to give him an idea of what to use.

Wyl wandered over to the foot of the stands, standing next to the Magic Horizons Crest. It seemed that no sign was going to present itself. He pushed his glasses a little higher up his nose, then rubbed his fingers absent-mindedly over the Hufflepuff Badger upon the crest.
With a yelp, he leaped backwards and stared at the badger, astounded. Whipping his glasses off, rubbing them clean with a fistful of robe then putting them back on his face, Wyl peered at the badger.
Where their should've been an eye, there was a abnormally large lump that wasn't obvious from the naked eyes, but to touch was huge. Staring at it, Wyl wondered what it could mean. He pointed his wand at it and focused on expelling the lump from the hole.
"Waddawasi!" Wyl tried. Nothing happened, and Wyl murmured the incantation over to himself again. He realised he had pronounced it wrong. Running a hand through his hair, he readied himself for another try at the spell. He counted to three underneath his breath, then shouted,
"Waddiwasi!" With a noise like a ping, the lump shot out from the badger's eye, flying in a high arch and landing by the lake bed. Surprised and satisfied that the spell had worked. Wyl tapped the hole with his wand, wondering what spell he could use.
Much to his shock, the lump zoomed back and landed with a soft thump at his feet. Not wanting to touch it, he tried to think of another spell to use to get it up to eye level.
"Wingardium Leviosa," Wyl swished and flicked his wand and the lump shot into the air. He stepped away from it as it flew back to the ground and frowned as it resettled itself into the sand.
"Wingardium Leviosa?" He tried again, and this time it hovered easily up to his eyes, rotating softly.
"Engorgio," Wyl jabbed his wand at it and it swelled slowly, until he broke the spell with a wave of his wand.
It was a little stone, with an incantation written on it. Wyl read it slowly as the stone rotated in front of him.
"Engorgio, Diffindo, Colloportus," The stone shrank rapidly once he had read the words aloud, then disappeared. Shrugging and pointing his wand at the hole, he repeated the spells in order.
The hole swelled slowly, then ripped itself apart. Wyl stepped inside and the hole closed up behind him, leaving a gap big enough for an owl to fly through.
"Lumos," Wyl muttered, and wondered if this was a trick test. He'd seen no sign of Capricorn since he left the Great Hall. He hoped he was on the right track and she was feeling nice enough to help him.
