Checking out the Pitch for the Sake of It

Ashlle kept being told to tryout for her house team seeing as she was very small. It was difficult to keep telling people she didn't care about Quidditch so she just started telling the she was too young. But still people kept talking about it.

Ashlle had finally come down here to see what all the fuss was about. 'It was just a game' she had thought, but upon seeing the pitch for herself she could understand why people were so passionate about 'just a game'. Simply the scope of the field was very impressive.

Perhaps she aught to buy a broom next year, simply for the joy of flying it, if not for any other reason.

Protege had walked to the Quidditch pitch, to see what it was like. He hadn't tried out for his house team, but he still was curious about Quidditch. However, he was suprised to see his friend Ashlle here.

"Nice day for a walk, isn't it?" he asked, running over to her.

"You want to walk around this?" She gestured to the pitch. "It's got to be miles long!" Rarely did Ashlle overestimate anything, but the size of the pitch had rattled her a bit.
"I'd never make it back to his spot, if I started walking out there. It's bigger than a American Muggle Football field."

Ashlle had thought she'd seen the biggest Man made structure when she'd seen the football field on her trip to America, but the Quidditch Pitch was far larger.

*Chris was sitting up in the stands plishing a broom. The quidditch season was coming up again and his house was behind in the points the last time he checked. Quidditch took up a huge chunk of these points so it would be good if the team could pull it off. Ravenclaw traditionally had a good team but this year they had lost a few starters to graduation. It would definitely be an interesting season.*

*As he sat in the third row up from the ground he saw ashlle and her friend walking down the stadium pathway on the ground. He stood up and waved.*

"Hey there."

Protege turned to the stands and waved. "Hey up there! Why don't you come down here and chat?"

He turned back to facing Ashlle. "Walk the entire thing? I'd be dead before I reached the end of it, and have no energy to go back. However, who says you need to walk the entire thing?"

Ashlle jumped, but calmed down when she saw who it was.

"HELLOOO UP THERE! she called, craning her neck up to see him.
"CHRIS! NICE TO SEE YOU! WHY DON'T YOU COME DOWN?"

Edit: Then she turned back to Protege.
"Hmmm, I never like doing this half-way but in this case I'll make an exception. If Chris will come along.

*Chris hopped on his broom and jetted down to where the two were standing. He hopped off and tied it two his backpack where he usually carried his lacrosse stick.* "Whats going on?"

OOC: Man, we are all out of sync with each other.

BIC:
Protege smiled at the boy. "Nothing much. I believe we have never met, although Ashlle seems to know you. Well, a friend of Ashlle is a friend of mine. I'm Protege."

Protege smiled at Ashlle. He felt the same way about things. "I don't like doing things halfway either, but unless we get brooms, we have no choice."

Ashlle blushed at her lack of manners.

"Chris this is my friend Protege, Protege this is my friend and tutor Chris." she introdused them.

"Chris we were just debateing on wheather to walk across the Pitch," Ashlle said, answering his question.
"But I was hopeing you might know of some spair Brooms we might get a hold of so we could 'have a filght'. I'm sure you could teach us to fly, I mean, if you have time?"

She tryed to make 'pretty eyes' at him as she had seen other girls do, but it made her eyes dry.

"Haha. Nice to meet you Protege."

*He then smiled and shook his head at Ashlle.*

"Sorry i only have the one on me. The spares are all over in the shed over in the locker room. Unfortunately thats on the other side as well."

Protege laughed when Ashlle blushed. Guessing at what it was, he said, "Don't worry. I once had a friend for 3 years. Then, when I went to introduce another friend to him, I realized that in 3 years, I had never learned his name."

He stuck out his hand for Chris to shake. "It's good to meet you Chris. As for brooms, if you will fly to the shed, I'll give you a way to get into it. Chances are that it is locked."

"Sure ill fly over and go get some if you want."

*he shook Proteges hand.*

Protege grinned and reached into his pocket. Pulling out a firework, he handed it to Chris. "Just throw this at the door. It should blow it open, or at least off its hinges. And if it doesn't work, you should be able to just ram the door down. Although I would suggest throwing the firework at the lock."

He stepped back and grinned. "Even though some discourage destruction, this isn't that bad. Just a small little thing."

Ashlle giggled at Protege's fo'pa'.

"Why not just use alohamora instead?" she asked.

"Wonderful! I was just wondering if I'd ever learn to fly, thank you Chris!" said Ashlle.

It was good to have friends & Ashlle had tow of the best rignt here.

*Chris reached into his pocket and pulled out a set of keys. He shook them a bit and smiled.* "I practically run this place." *He unhitched his broom and got on it.* "Ill be right back with some brooms." *He took off for the lockers.*
