Amy whizzed around the pitch, blue sparkles trailing after her. Her sight was blinded by tears as she flew. Faster and faster, higher and higher, until she was hidden in the grey clouds above.
She stopped and looked through the grey mist. Wiping her eyes, she looked down. If she couldn't see through the clouds, neither could anyone else. She felt like falling off her broom. She was tired of being lied to. It was getting old.
Her hair began to get damp from the moisture in the clouds. Oxygen was getting thin. Deciding that she should probably go back down and find a better place to hide, she tilted her broomstick forward and pelted, pulling into a brilliant Wronski Feint. As she flew, her toes an inch above the grass, she looked around for somewhere she would be left alone. Finally settling for under the bleachers, she flew through a hole in the banner and sat on a beam of wood. She leaned her head against a board behind her, and tried her hardest not to cry.

David walked out onto the Quidditch fields during the cloudy, humid day. His hands were in his pockets and he was walking just a bit too slowly for the normal chippery fellow. He was new and he missed home already. Phillips knew he would have to get used to it, but oh well. Let him go into sorrow of purple funk.
He looked up to the sky and wished it would rain upon his face so it wouldn't be so easy to see him cry. As if God has heard his wish directy a single raindrop fell onto his cheek and rolled down his face.

Mort craned his neck as he watched the girl fly into a small opening in the banners, high above the Quidditch pitch.
He had wondred into the Quidditch stadium only moments before out of boredom between lessons and having nothing better to do. He had hidden against a wall in the entrance tunnel to the pitch after he saw the girl so gracefully zooming around, high above, opting to not disturb her, insted to watch the private display overhead.

As it began to rain, Amy found her eyes wondering out the hole which she had flown through. She saw a lone man walking across the pitch, looking solemn and regretful about something. She hadn't seen him around before, so she assumed he was new. After blinking a couple times to ensure tears would be blocked, she scooted to the end of the board, so that her legs hung over the banner and near to the ground.
"'Ello." She said softly, not wanting to disturb him.

David slowly turned his head to the female voice and smiled at the beautiful face that posessed it. "What are you doing back there?" He asked, quite softly. Soft enough to be carried away by the wind and to be heard by no one.

"Well, I was hiding. But then, I saw you, scooted closer, and therefore revealed myself. So, by technical definition, I suppose I'm sitting."
She grinned. "Amythest Stevens. You are?"

David laughed and tilted his head to see her clearly. "Well then...why were you hiding, eh?" He asked her in a more detailed question. "Hiding from me? I am not that scary looking. At least I hope I am not." He said warmly. Another few drops of rain fell onto his head as he held his hand out towards the girl. "David Phillips. Nice to meet you at a time like this."

"Hiding from you? No. I was hiding from..." She trailed off. "Other people, I guess you could say."
When David extended his hand, Amy took it warmly. "Nice to meet you as well."

David pulled her up off the bench and smiled. "Yeah...you gotta hate those 'people'." He murmered with a warm smile.

As Amy was pulled up suddenly, she let a small breath escape her lips. She looked at David and smiled.
"Mmmhmm. Of course, you're supposed to hate them even more when they're your friend..." She trailed off as the rain began to slam down.

David looked up to the sky as the raindrops fell onto his eyelids. He squinted and squeezed under the bleachers with Amy.
"Your friend? Oh I am sorry. Would you like to talk about it?" He asked, trying to be comforting.

Amy scooted back under the banner to make room for David as she talked.
"Not really. It's just a small tale of backstabbing. It happens alot here. Welcome to MH."
She smiled. "So, where are you from?"

David pulled back a bit so he wasn't in her bubble. "I am sorry. Is there anything I can do for you?" He asked her, sympathy in his eyes. "Oh...I am from Blackpool, Lancashire, England. I just moved here."

"No, nothing I can think of. But thanks for asking. And Lancashire? Cool. I'm from Henderson myself. A small town on the outskirts of Las Vegas."

David's eyes lit up and he grinned. "You live near Vegas? I have always wanted to go there." He said with a sigh.
