how many people have now left because people feel like being jerks?...dont you think its better to take your complaints up with that person instead of being assholes?
i remember how everyone ganged up on ashlee riddle for some stupid s***...it really was pointless and now someone else has left because people feel their so much better than everyone...
WHO CARES?
nobody wants to hear about how good you think you are and how much you think the other person sucks...knock it off...this is how sites fall apart and ive seen my fair share...WR and Claire have worked way too hard for this...
what will it take for some of you guys to stop being complete assholes?

Very fair of you to say.
I do think a lot of people on the site need to calm down. I was a newbie at one point, and I definitely understand that people just need practice to learn to get better.
I think the best thing to do would be to address these people privately and not publicly humiliate them, and point out the little annoyances to be fixed. There's no point in being senselessly mean, because I would have quit RPing altogether when I was a newbie if someone had done that to me.
If I've been mean to someone, said something behind another RPers back about them, I'm truly sorry.

*nods*...youre exactly right...even some of the oldest people around here had to start somewhere...so i only ask that you extend the same helping hand as some of the people did when you were new...its only fair

*APPLAUDS, APPLAUDS, AND APPLAUDS*
I've said it before. *Points to several threads around MH.*
Being an 'oldie', *Also points to avatar made by Agiel Firefox back in the day.* I've been around since HF and I remember the way I was treated as a newbie...
Greeted by several Prefects, helped out when I needed it, and complimented once I got the hang of things. Now, here at MH, it saddens me to see people with a superiority complex

*smacks Agiels newbieness*
Agiel is nowhere near one of the oldest people around but yeah he was very good at making people feel welcome...it should be that way again but nobody seems to want to try to help people...its really stupid

I'll help! I say we get together a 'Restore MH to it's Glory Days' group. Anyone who wants to make it that wonderful place that we once loved. We could start by greeting newbies, and then who knows what will come of our efforts.

Heh, I haven't exactly been on the site for the longest time, so I don't really know what the Glory Days were exactly like. But I've been sending IMs with RPing tips to newbies, and I think I could probably scratch out a reply to some first threads, though my muse has been rather forced lately.

MH used to be like the Harry Fortress...almost everyone got along and helped each other out. Newbies were greeted with open arms, not picked on or insulted. MH used to be very united when it first started. I think if we start doing what we can, it will go back to that!^^
*Takes a stroll down to the Entrance Hall to greet and help some Newbies*

I definitely understand receiving praise for good RPing, but it does not make you god.

*Pops back in*
Yes, praise is good, but to many people let it go to their heads. x.<

I can't see why she would oppose to advertising the site.
I've been talking to a few friends from other RPGs I play on, trying to get them to join, but no luck thus far. Good RPers, but unfortunately, quite lazy.
