25.) Realize this is a Harry Potter website. Don't just run in here, having not read the books or anything, and then start RP-ing like it's Dragonball Z or Inuyasha. 'Cause it's not. It may have Demons and Vampires and some Fantasy creatures, but this IS a HP website.

24) keep an eye out for the suicidal students. I don't really like that one, but it is good. The reason I dun like that one is because then I may have people watching me...

I've got a few problems with that one as well. This isn't a depressive site. This is a place where most people come to escape and be happy. If someone's escapism is a site where they mope around and are suicidal, it's not much of an escape, it plants the idea in others head that it's okay to do and it is just really sad to watch and read. I come on this site to be happy and escape the depressiveness in my own life, I don't think it's needed on here. And there are youngish kids on this site to and we have to be respectful of that.
So even if your character is terribly upset, don't make it to the point that they are suicidal. Lock them up in their dorm, throw rocks in the lake, bag Pie and watch out for the wrath of Kage...but not to the extent that they are considering cutting themselves and such.
Does that make sense? I'm just trying to keep the site people's 'Happy Place'.

Sorry, MH is my happy place too, but I thought it was just a fair point.
We're told not to enter the Valkeries Hideaway, the Lycan Tunnel's or the Vampire's Lair unless we have a death wish, and people do go in, so I just thought that it was a fair point.
I'm am sorry if I upset anyone, but part of this point is really just making friends, and watching out for them, which is part of what this site is about.
*cough*
If you'd let me, I'd also like to say this:
26) Bullying is bad. I have been the victim of this outside of this site, and while I have seen very little here, I just wanted to get that out of my system

I'm sorry that I was standing at the sidelines, but there is a couple things that I had seen in this thread that set up a red flag, well at least in my book.
1. Why/how can we have swords. They are cool, but for some strange reason, I think every school does not allow weapons. I know this is not like a regular school, but that is outrageous. Maybe if another war was in progress, but not for fun. Even though it can be fun.
2. Talon, Wilting Rose, and anyone else I forgot to mention is right. If you don’t put details or anything in your post it will be hard to reply and when it is hard to reply it normally ends up in smaller, and less detailed posts. So PLEASE try to post your best, for everyone including yourself. (Hides pitchfork behind my back)
We that is all I have to say so far, besides go Giants. I mean besides thank you all for trying to make this place safer and easier to post at.
Also I am sorry if I have skipped, or forgot about a post, and pretty much copied someone elses about these topics.

Personally I say too many details can be as bad as not enough. I say only relevent details should be listed, just so that people aren't so damn bored by the time they finish that they don't give a crap! Use details, but not too many ^, and only use important ones.

That is muy importante because if an opening post went like this: kayla walked in.It would suck muchly and nobody will respond. but if it was like this: Kayla Marie Jane Cortez Dominique Vasquez the fourth walked into the enormous entrance hall. She took an 18th century white lace ribbon out of her long fine blonde with natural brown streaks hair. She set down her antique 14th century passed down throughout her fanily for generations trunk down on the solid gray stone floor.and so on and so forth, IT WOULD STILL SUCK!!!!!!!! You have to make it at least longer than three lines to have good quality, but keep it less than a novel okay?

Use details, but not too many ^, and only use important ones. It depends on what you call an important detail. If really big actions are the only details that you consider important, than your post isn't really going to have enough substance to really reply to, because let's face it. Not everyone does a double back flip every time someone says something. As long as the post is well written and doesn't drag on, it shouldn't be boring to read.

You're like Dot from Animaniacs, you should never write your full name on paper, it would take half the paper just to fit it! (Im assuming that what you wrote is your name in part, seeing as how u ended it with Vasquez)

Ha ha ha ha! Very true, Kage. I mean seriously...it's not like you're writing the script to a four-star movie here.

The fact of the matter is, people appreciate effort, especially in response to effort. It's extremely annoying when you spend 10 minutes on a post and get a 30 second reply. I don't mind if people don't put 10 minutes into one post, but I do like to think that people actually put some thought and care into what they say.
Ooh, I saw that episode of animaniacs. I love that show.

Totally off the topic your guys are talking about, but I thought that perhaps we might be able to hold the RPing classes in the Muggle World on a stickied thread?

That sounds good to me, Kiki.
I'll definitely be an instructor if I'm deemed worthy.
