It was dawn when Jenna finally pulled herself out of bed and went up to the owlery holding the letter she scrapped down last night. It was to her foster parents telling them that she had to come back for summer and not to rent out her room yet.
Her black owl, Jinx, was hooting carelessly into the morning sun and flew down to her shoulder when she entered the room. Jenna slipped him a cinnomin cracker and tied the letter tightly to his leg. "Bring this letter to Viv and Frank. Yes, I know you don't want to go back there but it isn't a long fly. Just go there and back."
The bird jumped off her finger and stretched his wings. Jenna watched him disappear into the morning mist. Jenna was just about to leave when another bird came into the owlery with a small package addressed to her. Inside was a green amulett. She gently hung it around her neck and made for the door but before she got there, some one else was opening the door.

Fae pushed the door open nervously, unsure if she was in the owlery and wondering if she had taken a wrong turn when she had reached the portrait of Mary the Misfigured. Suddenly she found herself hitting something warm and hard as she glanced back.
"Eep," she squeaked humorously, falling back and landing on her bottom. She looked up, squinting at whom she had bumped into before standing and saying, "Sorry about that."
She smiled sweetly as she brushed off the dust and dirt from her precious cloak.

"Oh, that's okay." Jenna seemed to hardly feel a thing. She smiled and asked kindly, "do you need a hand or something?"

"It's okay," Fae replied smiling. Her dark eyes wandered to the amulet around the girl's neck, but she immediately shook her head and smiled once more. "That's a lovely necklace, may I ask where you got it?"
She ignored the envelope clasped in her hand as she once more admired the jewel.

"Oh, this?" Jenna held the amulet in her right hand and said, "I don't know." She smiled at it and said quickly, "I better be going." She left the owlery and headed to Gryffindor tower to examine the necklace.

Fae nodded distractedly, before heading into the owlery and calling the most expensive looking owl down to her. She attached the letter to its leg and stood at the window, watching the owl disappear as it gained distance.

Heléna was slowly mounting the stairs up to the Owlery, looking down at the letter she was about to send. She stopped for a moment, and turned around to go back to the common room. She then stopped again after two steps and turned back in the direction she was originally heading, snow gazing off into the distance. She let out a heavy sigh as the reached the dropping-encrusted room and saw a figure standing by the window. She spotted her silky black owl Cambria snoozing on a perch near where the girl was standing. Heléna took a deep breath and entered the room, quickly passing the letter between her hands as she walked out of pure agitation.
