Ariden was scared out of his wits, he didn’t know what it would be like in three days time. He knew he would change forever, the first change was said to be painful, but he guessed the bite from Rayne had been to and he toke that in stride. Aridan didn’t fear pain really, he was afraid of what he might do after the change. He sat on the cold stone and closed his eyes listening to the wind blow by. His full Lycan powers would come at the moment of his transformation, the heightened senses and all that stuff.
He was afraid that when he changed he would be a wild beast unable to control what he did, and he didn’t want to hurt anyone. He didn’t know where to go and Rayne seemed so upset by what she had down that he was afraid to ask her in fear of her going into another depression. Arella was another subject that he didn’t want to think about right now. He rubbed his shoulder knowing she could still feel the effects of those fangs of his girlfriend tearing into his flesh.
He had never thought about it before, what it meant to date a lycan, or more so to date Rayne who was unlike anyone he ever met, lycan or not. He wished she would relax and calm down about what had happened. But the thought of that night still sat there like a blemish that refused to be removed no matter what. She had been set off so easily, granted her memory was coming back but it had been triggered by their little lesson using unforgivable curse.
He remembered the harsh look in her eyes, she didn’t even see him she saw someone else in his place her eyes told him so. The look of hatred of anger, and more so of sadness it scared him. He didn’t even register her fangs in his shoulder till she leaped off him and began to cry out how sorry she was. The look of sadness deepening. He wondered if she would ever be happy again, He knew they could be together now but would she be the same as before, the same girl he fell in love with.
