Lynette looked over at Faerlain, smiling gratefully at her for bowing in to comfort Forgoil. Lynette, personally, never felt too competent and consoling other people. She was consoled by much different things then most people. Briefly she considered calling the girl a superhero. Sighing ,she pulled her arms tighter around her, whipping her auburn hair from her face and listened.
She bobbed her head unnecessarily in agreement with the other girls soothing speech. She hesitated, not sure if there was anything she could add.
"And things happen for a reason," she found herself saying. Inwardly, she grimaced. How hokey. "You should never let go of your strength and your faith."

Hearing Faerlain's comforting voice, Forgoil looked at her and tried to smile, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. So, both Lynette and Faerlain would be fighting thought Forgoil I hope no harm befalls upon them. With his mind racked with thoughts, Forgoil looked up at the night sky; hoping to see Sirius and gain some comfort in these dark times, but the sky swallowed up the stars, leaving only emptiness in its wake.
An omen? thought Forgoil. He didn't believe in such things, but then again..
Slowly standing to his feet, Forgoil looked at Faerlain and Lynette, yet in his mind; others stood with them. Lottie, Wyl, Rawnblade, Anna, Shazza, Persephone, and so many others. Shaking his head, the images left his mind, but that only furthered his confusion. "Thank you, both of you,"slowly said Forgoil,"What you have said is true; I must have faith in our comrades. I'm just so..torn over this that I can't think reasonably. "
Breaking off in his sentence, Forgoil felt emotion tearing at his heart, trying to burst out. Forgoil tried to relax and shut off this onslaught, but it was too great. Again tears begin to flow and emotion coursed through his voice. "Please try to understand," said Forgoil,"I have lost one family, my real one, but now I have a new family, the people of this school, and I don't wish to see them in tatters. I don't think I can survive losing another family."

All the talk about family just made the prefect shudder. The people she once used to call family at MH were now gone; all turned into the lycan clan within a month. Things just could never be the same between the three of them- herself, Xavier and Kage. Bowing her head, she closed her eyes and took a quick moment to reflect upon it, the friendship that they had once had. The people she used to call family.
"'Reflection Cloak." He said, donning the cloak carefully. "Projects moving images of those who you care about the most onto the various panels placed on the back of the cloak."
Immediately several images flashed onto the panels. One panel showed his love, Sealla, first in her human form, showing a rare but beautiful smile, and then in her Lycan form, stealthily moving from panel to panel, her eyes watching the area behind him attentively. Another panel showed Faye, smiling as well. She suddenly showed a look of intrigue, then she laughed merrily. Another panel showed Kage, his face serious, his falcon Hunter on his shoulder. Then he smiled and laughed, a look of pure joy on his face. He patted Hunter on the head, then the image repeated. The rest of the panels showed these three people in random order, in various states of emotion and position.
It was the day they had gone shopping in Diagon Alley. Why was it so painfully hard to remember, then? It had only been seven months ago, right at the start of the term. Sighing, she lifted her head and dug deep into her pocket, drawing out several crisp, white tissues and offering them to Forgoil.
"We all have had family here." She replied, leaning over one of the stone banisters that surrounded the edge of the tower. "Or, at least, people that we love like family. The kind of special friends that you would die for. But the most important thing to remember is that they would do the same for you."

Faerlain's reason slowly began to make sense and Forgoil turned to look at her again; this time seeing that she held out several tissues. Taking one of them, he slowly wiped his face of tears, but he felt with each tear at he was wiping away; he wiped away another face; another voice; another friend.
However, he saw something different about Faerlain; it seemed as if she too was going through some brief ordeal, but she quickly recovered. Walking over to a window near to that of Faerlain's, Forgoil looked into the sky and breathed in the crisp night breeze; yet it was too crisp, and warmth was stolen from his body.
It's time decided Forgoil. Time to tell them that I can't bear this burden any longer.
"Faerlain," said Forgoil, his voice quivering slightly,"Once again you prove to be right. I know that there are friends that I have that would die for me, but I would mourn their passing, for I would never be able to return the favor. I can't bring back the dead and I never will; I don't want to lose friends like you, Faerlain. And as I think more about all those I care for who may die, I feel pain; I try to hold back my emotions, but they are overwhelming me."
Forgoil's voice had now reached a new peak; it started to sound stressed and emotional, something that rarely occurred. Perhaps he keep his emotions locked away for too long and now he was feeling the pain that he deserved. For what ever reason, Forgoil fell to the floor, but as he fell, the sky cleared and the stars blazed forth in their glorious radiance.
"Tell me, Lynette or Faerlain. Are the stars shining, for I cannot see. I cannot see."
ooc: Please don't think Forgoil is dying or hurt. All will be revealed in time

OOC: Okay. Do you want to move to the Hospital Wing? Or... the common room? Whatever, I suppose I'll just play it by ear. ^_^
BIC: Again his words caused a few tears to spring up in her own eyes. One part of her could not bear to figure out why one such as himself was so saddened by the thought of death, though the other knew that it was a fear carried by everyone. Everyone fears to be cold and limp, to never see the sun shine or the stars twinkle. And to watch life pass from someone you love... that is truely an unbearable feeling.
She listened as his voice raised, a shudder running through her own body. What was he so afraid of? It seemed to be destroying him inside, so much that she hardly even recognized him as the slightly energetic boy with the badger that had wandered into the common room just a few weeks back. And she sensed that he was slowly fading.
"Don't think about who may die.." She whispered, placing a reassuring hand upon his shoulder. "You must think about who might live. Think of what may be gained. And then think that there is a time for everything- a time to live, and a time to die."
She could feel the pulse from the sky as the boy fell and she quickly darted out to catch him. His head hit the floor but she cushioned it with her hand, lowering him down the rest of the way. What was wrong with him? She gently brushed her hand over his forehead- he didn't seem to have any kind of fever...
"Yes... the stars are shining, Forgoil. They are still shining." She said, reaching down to squeeze his hand. "What is wrong? You have to tell me, or else I can't help you."

As Faerlain and Forgoil seemed to pour themselves out pot by pot and confession by confession, Lynette felt herself locking up tightly, instinctively coiling her emotions into an impenetrable ball. She arms were squeezed now, so tightly into her ribs. Her shoulders were rigid with anxiety, for the war, for Forgoil's stunning state of mind and body, for...
She lowered herself gently to her knees beside Forgoil's head. Her arms still locked tight in a hug around her middle. "Shining bright," Lynette whispered; whether it was for his or her benefit, she herself wasn't clear. "You must see them."

Why was this happening? And for what reasons?
That is what Forgoil thought as he lay on the tower's floor. All he could hear was blurred sounds and voices of someone close by. He tried to open his eyes, but when he did so, no image penetrated his mind. No color, no light; he was surrounded by a void. His body was still and calm. Yet it did not stay this way for long. Though it didn't show, it felt as if a something was alive inside him; dark and dripping with malice, and was slowly trying to crawl its way out. The pain increased tenfold; Forgoil felt the salty tears run down his face as he tried not to show his pain. But as the pain reached its highest point...it stopped.
Forgoil felt at peace; there were no emotions attempting to burst free; no remnants of his burden. Freedom felt good , but at what price? Feeling returned to Forgoil, and he slowly moved his hands about him, trying to determine where he was. He then heard a voice, which to him sounded so melodious that it couldn't be human. But then the voice sounded worried, frightened, concerned. Why should it sound this way? thought Forgoil Unless... Faerlain! The recent memories were returned to him and he knew that he was in the Astrology Tower, and that Faerlain was there, and soon another voice entered his consciousness. Lynette! Despite his lack of sight, Forgoil tried to raise himself off the floor and in such a weakened state, fell once again. Looking to where he thought the two girls were, Forgoil still saw only darkness; not even an outline or a blurred image appeared in his mind.
Why could he not see? What caused this?
Forgoil’s chest rose and fell and regular intervals, and trying to relax; he closed his eyes and tried to rest. Yet he was succumbing to rest, not revived by it. The longer he rested , the weaker he felt. But when he opened his eyes for a second time; the darkness was replaced by a blazing light, pure and untouchable. It filled itself about him, but quickly retreated and left him. Now there was neither darkness or light, only emptiness, but in this emptiness; things began to form together like pieces of a puzzle, and slowly color began to return to his vision; Forgoil could see! It wasn’t nearly as good as before, but his sight was returned.
Why?, thought Forgoil, Why had something that had forsaken me return to me so suddenly? Why was my sight weaker than it was before? And why me? Why was I subject to such pain that shouldn't be experienced by any one? Why?
Turning to Faerlain, who knelt nearby and was holding his hand, Forgoil asked her, “What happened to me? I lost my sight, yet it is returned in a weaker state. I felt pain, but now it is gone. There was darkness, but now there is light. What does this mean? The emotions I had kept under lock and key are gone, and yet they still feel as if they are there. Would could have caused me to do this?”
ooc: Sorry about this post. It isn't my best.

A feeble wind running through the Astronomy Tower racked Lynette's spine with shivers. Se bit on her lips, feeling them turn cold. Her jacket was suddenly paper thin, her gloves riddled with holes. Frozen.
Spooked thoroughly at Forgoil's state, she squeezed her eyes closed for a long moment. Though the question was generally directed at Faerlain, Lynette still felt inclined to answer him. But I don't know.
"You're s-scaring me, Forgoil." She stammered, her fingertips white from digging into her waist. She felt like running, but stayed glued her to her spot on the cold stone. "S-stay with us. What just happened?"

He seemed to almost sleep for a time, failing to answer her question. Though she was no healer, a few spells did remain in her memory. Taught to her by Kalista before the last war begun, she drew to mind a few spells of healing that might at least dull whatever kind of pain he was in.
Drawing her wand from one of her cloak's pockets, she whispered a few words and then touched the very end of it to his forehead. A small glow emanated from it, hopefully helping him to relax a bit more. It was weak magic and rather poorly done, but she still prayed it would give him some relief.
"I don't know." She replied, rubbing her hands together in an attempt to warm them. "But I do know that you need to go to the hospital wing, now. You couldn't have just collapsed for no reason."
Suddenly, she noticed the girl standing next to her. The one who had been with Forgoil when she appeared. Smiling faintly, she took notice that the poor girl was quite obviously cold. Hence, the prefect took the best action she thought possible- taking off her own cloak, she handed it to her.
"Here. Don't want you to catch cold; I doubt I could carry both you and Forgoil down from this tower." She replied, smiling a bit in a feeble attempt to make her feel a bit better. "By the way, what's your name?"

((Sorry for the delay )) Lynette smiled meekly at Faerlain and pulled the other girl's cloak around her, mainly to remain polite. How does one begin to explain that the cold you feel on your insides are not at all effected by outside warmth, no matter was season or what amount of clothing. It was a kind notion, nonetheless. "Lynette Pearlcombe," she answered quietly, rubbing the back of her neck. "We should really bring him down - oh. Sorry, your name as well?" Red tinted her cheeks slightly and looked away, instead her eyes resting on the weak looking Forgoil.
