(ooc: I'd like to have as many people in this thread as possible. Hopefully this will stop the complaints of MH coming to a standstill. ^_^)
This morning, to most, seemed like any other. So far, it had been unremarkable. The same blue skies and shining sun smiled down upon the school of witchcraft and wizardry as they had done many times before, and students chattered with their friends as they headed down for breakfast in the Great Hall just as they would any other day. Aylen Hawkins was no exception. However, his normally cheerful expression was replaced with a brooding frown today. Deep in thought, the fifth year’s natural clumsiness did him no favors. Already he had had to apologize to the Ravenclaw student on whose robes he had trodden on at least twice.
Finally reaching the Great Hall, the redhead sat down on the Gryffindor table, as usual. Poking listlessly at his ham and eggs, he suddenly realized how alone he felt despite the crowd. A quick glance around the table made him realize he knew next to none of the students in his own House. Not even his own sister was present. Sighing, he couldn’t help scanning the staff table for a familiar face that he knew wouldn’t be there. The two vacant seats stood out glaringly amongst the otherwise crowded table. The history of Magic and Divinations Professors were gone.
Suddenly realizing he’d been stabbing his meal to a mush, Aylen dropped his fork, groaning in frustration. “Why isn’t anyone doing anything?” he burst out. The students around him quieted. Remembering what a friend had said last night, he smiled inwardly. The best place to inform students was indeed the Great Hall. “Students at our school are being randomly attacked. Why aren’t we doing anything?” Slamming his fists onto the table, he continued on. “Even our Prefects are being attacked. That lycan and his so-called master are picking us off one by one. We need to start doing something.” By the time he finished, the entire hall seemed deadly silent.
Aylen sat back down hard after his rant, his hand clutching at the front of his shirt. He felt his nails dig into his palm, but slowly opened his hand after taking a few deep breaths. ‘Shouldn’t have done that,’ he thought belatedly. Those sitting around him may have noticed this movement and wondered what was paining him, but a quick green-eyed glare prevented any unwanted questions. ‘I need to be more careful.’

Sen listened to the boy talking well it was more like yelling to the other students. Her blue eyes glanced over to the boy name Aylen she knew this because they had met for a short time in the gryffindor common room.
Sen scooted over till she was in front of Aylen and put her elbows on the table. "I'm going to shoot this out there but you must be the defense of the school correct?"She asked as one of her arm pushed her short brown hair out of her face.
Sen glanced around the gryfindor table a few of the students where looking at Aylen confused some more brightly as though he where right which he very well was. "You might not remember me but I'm Sen."She said as her eyes traveled back to the Aylen.
"What did you mean by the lycan and his master?"She asked after a few minutes of silence. "Why are they after the school?"she asked hoping she wasn't asking too many questions.
"Sorry if I'm asking too many questions."The third year apoligised. 'he might be on to something trying to stp them isn't a bad idea at all trying to pull his wheight for the school'Sen's though caused her to put her hand on her three scars.

Breakfast that morning was sure to be dull, Roan thought as she went through the common room door and into the great hall. And it was, until Aylen had his outburst.Whirling her head around at the sound of his words, Roan too was one that stopped to listen. They boy's outburst surprised her, but not when he spoke of that lycan. With a clatter the glass she was holding dropped, and hastily the Hufflepuff picked it up. He's talking about Fenris she thought with amazement. Someone has chosen to act on the fact that he is out of control. Whoever is doing this must be a madman.
Shifting in her spot so she could see his face while she sat on the table, there was a small flash of a smile when Roan saw who it was. Yep, this one was a madman...perfect. It didnt surprise her much that it was Aylen whom she had met before, having such an outburst. Knowing him, he was prone to acts like this. But the Hufflepuff girl stopped thinking such thoughts about him and turned her mind to the task at hand. Propping her elbows up onto the table, she closed her eyes in thought.
He is going to do something about Fenris, should I help? But she brushed off the thought immidiatley, of course she should help, the lives of someone could depend on it. Plus she had sworn that he would see his grave one day. What good would you be, when you see Fenris you panic! It was true, twice now she had met the giant lycan, and both she lost control of her emotions. But if she was ready, if she prepared herself, that wouldnt happen. You have to do something Roan! And if this boy is doing something about the lycan you so hate, then its time you joined in the fight. With a strong resolve, the Hufflepuff made her decision, it was like the boy said, the students needed to do something. And she knew if they were going to do anything about this mad lycan, it would come to a fight.
With strength she didnt usually find, Roan stood up from the Hufflepuff table, and crossed the Great Hall slowly. When she reached the Gryffindor table, she sat nearby Aylen. With a cringe she realized she didnt know his name, just the one she had made up for him that day in Hogsmeade. Oh well, she had to call him something. Taking a deep breath, she looked at Aylen with her hazel eyes. "Whatever your plan is for doing something about Fenris, Ill be glad to help. Im sure Im not the only one who wants to see him gone." Her voice was quiet, but loud enough he could hear her. She hoped that she and Sen would set the example, that others would help and open their eyes to the horror that was ravaging their school.
The girl remembered what Fenris had said on that day. That he wanted to 'cleanse' the school, and literally spoke of eating the students. All of the students. And personally, Roan wasnt ok with that. Holding out her hand for Aylen to shake, her eyes firm with resolve, she spoke again. "You are right, its time for this school to act, and act now. Roan Aliagh, at your service."

Ashlle looked up abruptly. Aylen was at it again. She shook her head, but in the middle of it stopped and replied to his rhetorical question.
"I, Ashlle Rainier, Hunter Ninth Class, am not doing anything because I need to survive and because the Lycan you speak of is not yet in my Bingo Book of Enemies. I'm sure they are sending more advanced Assassins than I to arrest and dispose of this menace seeing as he almost defeated me early this fall."
She then went back to her eggs, muffin and sausage as if that was the end of the argument for herself at least.
OOC: feel free to argue with Ashlle's reasoning. I need some action if only in the form of an argument.

Two other students spoke up one she knew and one she didn't. "You would be worried if you where the first on the list to be eaten?"sen said not turning her head toward Ashlle she usually lost arguments because she would run out of things to argue about but this wasn't the case there was plenty to fight about.
"You live here at the school?,They feed you?,They try to protect you?"Sen remembered that Ashlle was a temp nurse at the school. "You cold help protect the school sure you help here now but what will there be to help when including yourself will be gone?"She asked again now looking over to the girl.
Aylen made the point and Sen knew some wouldn't listen but knew that Ashlle was smart enough to know how much the school needed protection or maybe Sen had gotten the second year wrong she was younger then Sen was but to have such trust to be a temp nurse.
"Surly you agree?"she asked the other students in the room as she turned to Aylen. Surly you agree he is right?"she asked again as she looked down at the table instead. 'There going to get killed if they don't bother to help...'her thoughts had mad a little bit of sense. 'No one is going to die...'She argued her thoughts back.

"I'll always be able to protect myself from him" Ashlle argued back to Sen, "I for one am not going to be eaten. But I'm not aloud to Hunt someone I've not been sent to Hunt. It's not a matter of principle it's a matter of orders. Besides if this place is gone than I'll just go to one of the many other schools who asked for my presence in their walls. This is not my home, as it is for some of you. It is a place of learning and there are many many more when this came from." Ashlle took a deep breath to calm herself.
"All that being said, I'm not a cruel person. If someone happened to be with me when I was attacked I certainly would fight for both of us and not just myself. That's when it becomes a matter of Principle and not a matter of orders. I must be ordered to Hunt, but to defend I only must be attacked."
Still, she now payed more attention to the rabble rousing Aylen to see if other students would join him as Sen had.

Aylen jumped slightly when Sen’s elbows thudded onto the table at the seat across from him. He had not noticed her move in front of him, but he quickly recovered from being startled. Her face was familiar and Aylen remembered she was a fellow Gryffindor, but the redhead could not recall her name for the life of him. Letting out a small sigh of relief when she saved him the trouble of fumbling for a name, he listened intently to what she told him she wanted to know. Forming his answers carefully, he began to reply. “I would defend this school with my life, but if I were the only defense the school had, we would be doomed, I’m sure,” he said wryly. “As for the lycan, he’s working under someone else, that I know for sure.” Standing up again, he spoke louder so his voice reverberated off the high ceilings of the room. “If I knew why they were after the school, I’d gladly tell you why,” he continued. “However, that’s anyone’s guess. Does it really even matter? Innocent students are being attacked, and we can’t just lie down and take this!”
His voice was rising as he spoke, laced with frustration. Then a sudden pain shot through his chest. A barely noticeable wince flickered across the fifth year’s features, but it went by so fast one could have doubted whether it had ever existed. Sen wasn’t the only one with scars. The redhead heard footsteps approaching and was somewhat surprised at the owner. "Whatever your plan is for doing something about Fenris, I’ll be glad to help. I’m sure I’m not the only one who wants to see him gone." Grinning as he met Roan’s gaze, he took the offered hand, sealing the pact. “Glad to have you on my side, Roan.”
Another voice spoke up. The sharp tones of this voice Aylen remembered. He clenched his fists as she went on, his nails digging harder and harder into his palm. Aylen was gritting his teeth so hard he could hear the enamel grinding against each other. Against his better judgment, he opened his mouth. “He is hunting us, Rainier. We are being attacked. I know you realize this school is a home for many of the students here, but you seem to only care about yourself. You claim you are not cruel, and so far you have not proven yourself so. But now I know at least the supposed Rainier legacy of selfishness is true.” Aylen spat the words out, not bothering to soften the barbs of his words.

Roan shook Aylen's hand with a smile on her face, glad to have something done. It had been two encounters now with Fenris, both unpleasent. Its time he was dethroned from his little power horse. But her hazel eyes noted his suddenly clenched hands, and found anger rising in herself as Ashelle spoke. Just as Aylen had burst out, so would she. Anyone who thought he didnt need to be killed was insane, and Roan had every intention of telling Ashelle that. Taking her eyes from Aylen, she stood and faced the other Gryffindor, fury in her eyes.
"How dare you! How dare you speak such about the threat to this school. Do you only care for yourself, that your life is the only important one?! Aylen is right, if thats true you are selfish. Arent you a nurse in this school, the saftey of the students are in your hands, and you deny them. You who have the power and ability to stand up to this threat! I dont give a crap if you are allowed to or not, there are students being attacked all over, do you want to come into an empty Great Hall one day! If any of your great assasins were doing something, he would have been dead by now! If you wont stand up to Fenris, and do your duty to this school and the people in it, you are a coward!" Roan's voice was at a yell by the end, fury built up to its maximum. Ashelle would not get away with this.
If people like Ashelle had spoken out when the threat first came, then so many people wouldnt have been attacked. Roan might not have been attacked. Every student was at fault for the lycan running rampant, but not so much as she. If the Gryffindor would deny the school her abilities then she would suffer for it. Oh she would suffer.

"Innocent students are being attacked, and we can’t just lie down and take this!”
Aednat entered the Great Hall, still rubbing her bright blue eyes to wake herself up. What she heard sounding throughout the Hall upon entering was, however, enough to jolt her completely out of her sleepy state. Innocent students being attacked? Her eyes shot quickly around the room, seeking the source of the loud comment. They lit quickly upon a fellow Gryffindor she remembered having met, although just then she couldn't remember his name...it was still early in the morning.
Darting quickly around other students to get to the small group, the petite fifth year racked her brains, going through a list of boy's names beginning with the letter 'A' , for she seemed to remember that his name started with the same letter as her own. Arriving at the group, she immediately spoke.
"Just came in...heard you say about innocent students being attacked...sorry if I'm butting in...will help if I can..."
Slightly out of breath, her sentence was jagged and disjointed, but she got the message accross. As she paused for breath, she recognised Ashlle and Sen, and smiled at them and at the other girl, whom she'd never met. But sensing tension in the group, her smile faltered. She had obviously come into some sort of tense scene... between Ashlle, Aylen and the girl she didn't know, as far as she could tell. She didn't notice that she had remembered Aylen's name, although she would have been glad if she had, as she hated to forget names.
"Oh, sorry Ashlle, Aylen, Sen, um...sorry...I totally interrupted there. Anyway...maybe I picked up on it wrong but it sounded really serious...I'll help if I can, but, you know, didn't mean to poke my nose in...probably picked it up all wrong..."
Aednat stepped back a little and twirled a curl anxiously around a finger, reaching behind her with the other hand to grab a slice of toast from the stack at the Gryffindor table.

Despite the other students shouting at her Ashlle remained calm for some reason. "You think you're the only ones who were attacked don't you? I'd laugh if what you say wasn't so serious. I too have felt the claws of Fenris Fenrir slice though my flesh. Since then I have become a bit more careful in whom I challenge for 'the Honor and good of the school'. Fenris is a dangerous creature and I think you ought to leave it to trained Auror's to stop him." Ashlle sipped her milk coolly.
"On the other hand, if you feel they are taking their sweet time about it, than a more rational course of action would be to write to the Ministry about him and petition them to protected their next generation a bit better than they are. Still if you are determined to run out to the Forbidden Forest right now and try to do away with him, please don't allow a simple Ninth Class Assassin like me stand in your way. "She shook her head sadly.
"Pity, I was beginning to think you were a highly handsome young man Aylen. On your grave marker I'll be sure they write 'Here lies what remains of a very brave young Gryffindor. He tried to save the School from a rampaging twelve foot Lycan named Fenris Fenrir'."
Ashlle suddenly blinked thoughtfully. Why not write the Ministry about Fenris? That actually might be a really good idea! "If anyone wishes to help me write the letter -you know to the Ministry's Aurors- I'll be only too happy to have some company in the library after breakfast."

His face flushing, it was obvious Aylen had not thought of asking help from the Ministry. However, practical as Ashlle’s plan was, it still had a flaw. Clearly, the girl had the mistaken idea that he wanted to gather a horde of students and track down the lycan and destroy him for the glory of the school, or some similar harebrained scheme. Not even Aylen was as stupid as that.
“Of course I’m not going to go after him like that. I’m not as thick as you think I am, Ashlle,” he snapped irritably. Forget honor and the school. The school could burn to the ground if it would mean the safety of everyone in this castle. Castles can always be rebuilt. Human lives, however, are a different story. “Do we have time for the ministry’s red tape? During the Danawi crisis, I did not see them lift a finger. If we are to ask for their help, we will still need to find a way to defend ourselves while we wait, and have a plan if they do not come.” Though he was calming down, the redhead was still fuming. “In case you did not remember, the lycan has a master. Where there’s a master, there are minions. Destroying the lycan will solve nothing. I’ve heard he has demons on his side, too.”
Aylen finally ran out of steam, letting out a loud sigh. Suddenly noticing a girl watching him nervously, he realized she had spoken to him. “Sorry,” he mumbled to her, but then smiled wryly. “You can’t butt in on something that is your business in the first place,” he commented, sighing. “Surely you’ve heard of students being attacked by a abnormally large lycan?”

"Aurors..."Sen said queitly to herself as she lowered her head some. "So they are older and better trained..."Sen said as she raised her head smirking. "That has never stopped me before all we really need is confrmaition on there master...then we make a diversion a safe one and then we attack the less gaurded master."She said simply there was more to it then what she had said but she was tired. "You tell the Ministry all you want but i rather not hide behind someone if your a so called assassin you would have the pride to fend for your school to fight for your friends maybe loved ones i'm sure they might still like you if there not here. But i can't even think of calling you a fellow Gryffindor there must have been a erro or something the hat wasn't feeling good!"She said as she raised to her feet her voice echoing all around the hall.
Sen glared at the younger girl. "You want to know what a assassin is?,A killer a muder whatever you perfer someone that you hire when your to weak to do it yourself! Well your so called orders when the tell you to attack the school...there will be people to stop you and maybe even kill you."She said stepping away from the girl. "Ah your grave will say the traitor to the school or maybe the one not worthy to learn or fight with us..."She said tacking heavy breaths of air her fists clenched.

OOC: Ashlle said 12 because you scared her that much Feny, In the state you put her in she was unable to gauge your hight correctly.
At Sen's words Ashlle stood straight up, and marched over to the larger Third Year. "You DARE question my Bravery?" she glared menacingly at Sen. "I don't think you get it. If I kill without ORDERS I'll be sent to AZKABAN! So will you! Besides, Bravery is the absence of fear not the absence of common sense! I fear no one Not even you-" she looked Sen up and down "-a third year of obvious dubious ancestry! I usually don't care about such things, but if you will taunt me about where I belong than I must say I doubt your ancestors have been with us for all the centuries mine have!"
Ashlle wasn't sure why she was upset. Usually she took pried in the fact that despite not knowing them, all facts pointed to the conclusion that her family had been in Slytherin since the beginning of Hogwarts (and MH) School. Still suddenly having her nerve challenged seemed to truly bother the twelve year old. Despite this Ashlle tried to calm herself.
"I have just recalled a small item in my handbook. If you wish to Hire Me for your own privet Plans or Hunt, you can. All you have to do is write to the BFC and ask for me. To them I am simply known as the New Rainier. My Family Have been Hunters for ever it seems. They've run out of numbers I expect. Don't worry yourselves about the price of my services. If they give you a problem I'll write and say I'll do this one for free. After all, if my courage is being questioned, what else can I do?"
It was plain that Ashlle hoped they wouldn't have the guts to send the letter to the BFC. Fenris Fenrir had clearly left a tremendous impression on her, one she was not going to soon forget. On the other hand since she was offering her services for free, they could no longer doubt her daring no matter what they decided to do.

Ashlle had ignored her presence, which would normally have annoyed Aednat, but hearing what the younger Gryffindor was saying, she understood why she hadn't been acknowledged. This was clearly an issue of vital importance, trivial things could wait. It seemed to her as though Ashlle was too willing to leave the problem for others to solve, but she refrained from passing judgement as it could be well off base seen as how she really was oblivious to the whole situation.
She cringed at Ashlle's harsh words, and found herself agreeing with Aylen, but her eyes widened, if possible, still further when she realised it was towards she that his apology was directed. "No, no, not at all...," she brushed it off. Was this guy for real, apologising to her when he clearly had so much else on his mind? "Actually, I haven't...well, I've heard whispers, scared rumours...but nothing concrete. There's a lycan attacking students? I never imagined...you know how people exaggerate..."
She spoke truthfully- she hadn't heard much at all, and what she had heard was all unsure, as though people didn't really know the truth and scared imaginations had taken the upper hand over reality.
She almost choked on her toast at Sen's outburst, but it was Ashlle's reation that made her swallow quickly so that she actually wouldn't, for now she really was shocked. She had liked Ashlle when they had met before, but she seemed to see a different side of her now...a side that wasn't willing to be brave or noble except on her own terms. But what changed the impression that she was forming of the girl was a quick glance at her face. She clearly was hoping beyond hope that nobody would take her up on her 'offer'. Aednat felt a painful pang of sympathy and a longing to hug the younger girl, who was clearly still very shaken after whatever ordeal she had been through.
With questions in her eyes, she turned to face the group, hoping that she would get something in the form of information, even if just by picking it up from their conversation. Most of all, she knew that this was no matter being blown out of proportion by a teenage student body. It was serious, deadly serious it seemed, and above anything else she was determined to help if she could.
