Lights twinkled on the ceiling of the enormous midnight blue tent, like stars, as Claire stepped upon to the platform.
Her hair was high on her head, and a string of mint white pearls was swept around her neck. Beneath it was a deep purple dress that trailed behind her. She stepped up to the microphone and cleared her throat to get everyone’s attention.
“Good Evening everybody!” She said loudly. “Welcome to the second annual Golden Snitch Awards!” She waited for the cheering and clapping to calm.
“We have a wonderful night planned for you – some surprise winners and a selection of celebrity guests for some of the awards!” Claire smiled as she watched people turn and talk to each other about who could be appearing.
“I won’t keep you any longer! The first award is about to be awarded…”
