Ashlle sat there for a long moment to stunned to speak. She had been just about to sip her goblet of Butterbeer, but the announcement of her name had arrested her movements completely.
Ashlle had come to this gala only because it wouldn't look good for her to miss it, having not participated in the voting, (She only knew 18 people at Magic Horizons officially) she had never expected to get a prize herself.
Finally she whispered to the person next to her. "What do I do? Do I go make a speech or just stand up and say thank you?"

"Go up there! That is Joanne Kathleen Rowling! Plus, it works well with your training. More people frea the stage than death, this is a large hurdle. Jump over it. Go." Morgan grinned, and nudged Ashlle a bit.

"Fear the Stage?" whispered Ashlle back. "That's a strange thing to fear. A stage is a raised portion of floor. what's it gonna do, swallow you?" Still, Ashlle gathered her long black skirts and proceeded up to the Stage. The perplexed look on her face stayed put till she forced it into a pleasant smile as she approached Ms. Rowling.
However, as strange thing happened when she went to shake hands with Ms. Rowling. It seemed as if she'd suddenly come to the heart of the universe. The moment Ashlle shook her hand, she felt so overwhelmed with emotion that tears sprang to her eyes and a lump appeared in her throat. Ashlle abruptly had the urge to ask a thousand things that were very undignified and totally out of line, and somehow knew (or thought she knew) that this person had all the answers. Instead of giving in to such irrational thoughts, she managed a very soft 'thank you' when Ms. Rowling handed her the Certificate. Then Ashlle curtsied deeply to her and Proceeded to the podium.
Realizing their were tears in her eyes, and knowing the audience would get the wrong impression she quickly brushed her eyes with the side of her long sleeve and tried to clear her throat.
"Er, thank you." Ashlle knew she should say more but also knew she should keep it short. Like those Oscar thingies she'd never admit she saw on the Muggle TV. "I'd like to thank all who voted for me. Er, and also my friends for supporting me." Ashlle thought for a moment of what a certain friend might say and quickly dismissed the words as not quite dignified enough. However her ideal's were perfect. " 'Ahem' Ladies and Gentlemen of all Peoples, a wise person once told me 'Only when we come together will the world be healed. When we put aside our differences and work together, that's when we create real magic . . ." Ashlle paused and got the perplexed look on her face again. "She confuses me a lot" she confessed to the crowd, causing some gentle laughter " but her words are very true. If we heed such council our lives can only get better. Er . . That's all I want to say." she then began to get down from the podium.

She looked at Ashlle, "No, thats not what I- Never mind."
As Ashlle went up and gave her speech, Morgan almost cried. She clapped the hardest, cheered the loudest, and smiled the biggest. "Wow, Ashlle....that was great." when the pink haired girl got back to the table. "I mean wow." She smiled "Great job."

When Ashlle got back to the table she tucked a red curl behind her ear and said. "I see what you mean now by scary! I never felt so many emotions all at once. Who the Heck is that woman? I've never heard of her before, Yet I feel as if I wouldn't be here without her."
She then sat down and sipped her Butterbeer. What a strange experience.
