(ooc: We haven't had a good thread like this for a while. ;D )
Aylen was having a blah day. His classes seemed even more boring than they usually were, and even his hawk seemed to feel a bit sluggish. "Ugh, I need something exciting to happen," he groaned. He flopped down at the Gryffindor table and waited for his dinner to appear. When it did, he was disappointed. "Mashed potatoes and peas?! Good grief, the house elves are slacking a bit today, too." The peas disappeared, and as if it was trying to appease the grumpy redhead. Carrots appeared in the little green veggies' place. "No!" he moaned. "Nevermind it..." He suddenly remembered something that gave him inspiration. "Remember our first time with a wand?" his sister's words echoed in his mind. He grinned mischeiviously. "We cleaned potatoes off the walls for months!" He made sure no one was watching, and threw a handful of mashed potatoes at a random table.

OOC: I hope you don't mind if I join in. It was a fairly ordinary evening, bringing nothing particuarly special. She had just completed her daily dose of very boring homework, taken a shower and then come down from the common room to make sure the first-years didn't get into any trouble at dinner. They rarely did, she was the one that they had to worry about getting into trouble. Hence she was just standing against the wall, looking rather innocent. Nope, she wasn't going to cause any trouble tonight... Suddenly, a gooey clump of mashed potatoes flew out of nowhere and smacked her right in the hair. It dripped down, creating a rather sticky mess. Awww.... and right after she had just showered. Glancing around and having no idea where the mashed potatoes had come from, she grabbed a handful of stewed cabbage and threw it in a random direction. Hah. That most certainly felt satisfying.

OOC: No, this thread should be as chaotic as possible. The more the merrier! By the way, is it just me, or do all the prefects have a certain disregard for the rules? ;D

Amaia sat down, actually having had a fairly decent day thus far. Hungry and ready for some food, she began heaping everything within reach upon her plate.
And that's when it came. The stewed cabbage. She saw it coming before it hit, staring rather stupidly at it with that deer-in-the-headlights look. Slimy...Cabbage...icky....BAM!!! ICKYICKYICKYICKY!!!!!!!!! Amaia fell backwards onto the floor from shock. She stood up and wiped the lovely food from her face simultaneously, an evil sort of grin coming across her face. She grabbed a handful of the strangest stuff in her reach, a ratherly deadly looking bean dish and hurled it in the direction of the stewed cabbage. ( my, we seem to have some strange food today..)

Aylen was laughing at a particularly humorous joke when something rather squishy hit him in the back of the head. He stuck his hand behind his head to find...beans. The redhead stared at the mess in his hand thinking, ‘I really hate this stuff...’<br>“Hey, she got you good!” a fellow Gryffindor snorted into his pudding. He looked in the direction he was pointing...and there was Amaia, sitting with a evil, satisfied look on her face... “Oh, now you’ve done it!” he cried, completely forgetting that he started it. He jumped up on the Gryffindor table while hurling a mass of rice pudding at the girl. “FOOD FIGHT!” he yelled gleefully.

OOC: Ahhh! This is what I've been waiting for...
The castle looked inviting on the dull day; there was a feel to the air of unused energy, but it was such a boring day that nobody seemed to have a use for it. Putting on a burst of speed she flew into the Entrance Hall, watching people saunter lazily into the Great Hall for their evening meal.
The dark haired faerie flew into the Great Hall just as a shout vibrated the air around her, excitement was suddenly felt from all direction as mounds of food was lifted from the trays by the gloried students. Some of the more advanced students were lifting whole trays of food and tossing it across the room. Jess couldn’t resist!
Screaming aloud with delight she plunged into the thick of the fight, dodging here and there, testing her flying skills until she found a bowls of particularly chunky mashed spud. Piling as much mash into little pale arms as she possibly could she flew to a random table and began throwing mash into a girl’s ear, “HA GOTCHA!!”

Gingivere grabbed some potatoes and spread them apart. He poured peas in the potatoes. Then packing them in a ball he hurled the mess at the Slytherin table. SPLAT. "That was fun." he remarked.

Rolling her eyes playfully, Faye covered her head and dove underneath the nearest table for cover. Overhead she could hear the cries of students as various kinds of disgusting food hit them. A sly smile spread over her face; my my.... it had better not get out that she had contributed in any way to this madness.
She was quite comfortable under the table and took a bit of time pick all the potatoe out of her hair. There... not bad at all. Well, might as well as get back to the fun!
With a loud war cry, she burst out from underneath the table and grabbed a handful of sweet potatoes, then began to hurl huge globs in random directions.

Splotches of the orange potatoes were flying everywhere. Aylen ducked several, only to be scored in the face. He wiped his face off on his arm, trying his best to determine who the culprit was. While doing this, he was hit by several globs of meatloaf. "Okay, lesson one, if you must be a target, be a moving one!" He dived under the Ravenclaw table armed with muffins and waited for the perfect moment to strike.

OOC: What a fun distraction from the dark side of MH!
Aidana yawned, making her way down the stairs to the Great Hall. It had been a long day. There were curious sounds coming from the Hall. There was a great deal of yelling and screaming, and she could hear a lot of people shouting. She walked through the open doors, and almost got nailed with a handful of broccoli. She ducked just in time, and saw it a sixth year in the back of the head.
What the heck is going on here... she looked around for any of the teachers, but saw that they weren't there. (OOC: As always... ;D) Then she notices a certain red haired somebody dive beneath the Ravenclaw table armed with muffins. Without knowing exactly what happened, she knew who's fault it was. Aylen. She needed to make her way over to her brother. Aidana looked down the Hall, and saw that her brother was on the other side of the room. Well the only way she would make it to him would be to run. She ducked her head, and quickly streaked across the hall, getting hit with various foodstuffs, in the direction she guessed to be the Ravenclaw table.
WHAM!!!
She knocked right into somebody and fell back. She looked up to see a legendary face at Magic Horizons. Faerlain, the Hufflepuff prefect. At first, she smiled, delighted to be finally meeting her. Then she realized something. Faerlain was a Prefect. A Prefect who gave out punishments. A Prefect who could get her detention. Her smile quickly melted away.
" Um...I didn't..err...throw anything! It...um...wasn't..ehh...my fault! I'm sorry!!" she managed to stutter, still looking at the Prefect.

Amaia attempted to duck the flying pudding, ducking down under the table and getting knicked with it anyway. After making sure that all traces of stewed cabbage were thoroughly obliterated, (for she hates stewed cabbage with a passion) she jumped back out and began throwing food in all directions. Having watched Aylen be smacked several times during her time under the table, she took note that unless she wanted to become a human food monster, it would be wise to keep moving. She grabbed some carrots and began using them as missiles.

Laura-Jayne had been sat quietly, alone in the great hall, she was new so hadn't made that many friends yet.
She was just about to put a mouthful of mach potatoes in her mouth, when a food bomb hit her hand and knocked her potato flying.
Looking about, a grin now on her face, she decided to get pay back. Laura grabbed the mashed potatoes, the gravy, the sweetcorn and the stuffing, then mixed them all together producing a disgusting mess.
Picking the huge bowl of food up she threw it into the air and watched as it landed on a near by girl, covering her from head to foot.
Laura-Jayne clutched her sides as she started to howl with laughter!

Faye was so preoccupied with throwing sweet potatoes that she hardly noticed Aidana until she ran right into her. Grinning playfully, the brown haired prefect extended her messy looking hand to the rather scared looking girl. Her hair was still full of chunks of mashed potatoes and her black robe was smeared with various kinds of disgusting food, which is why she was rather suprised that anyone at all even recognized her.
"Don't worry about it." She said, reaching over to a nearby table and grabbing a bowl of pudding. "Here. Join in on the fun... but if anyone asks, I was NEVER here."
Chuckling a little to herself, she winked at Aidana and then ducked back underneath a table and prepared for her next sneak attack.

Aylen rolled out from under the wooden table and hopped on top of it to get a good vantage point. His aim was exceptionally good, as he acted as a sniper of sorts. Food was flying everywhere. It was heaven! After being hit with various types of desserts, the redhead dove under the table again. The best part was that food seemed to be neverending. They kept appearing on the empty golden plates.
