Vanessa made her way to the large and brightly lit Great Hall. She had been anticipating dinner since earlier in the evening, and had gained quite an appetite in the process. Students for other houses were also on their way to the dinner that awaited them and the corridors were bustling with activity.
Approaching the grand doors of the Great Hall, Vanessa primped her hair and straightened her robes. She wanted to appear properly for her first dining experience at Hogwarts.
I hope to make more friends, perhaps Ravenclaw students as well.
She thought to herself as she stepped through the doorway into a huge room with four long tables, brimful of tasty foods. Moving her astonished gaze from the delightful feast, she stared above at the numberous suspended candles, iluminating the entire room in soft light.

ooc:
Well, it looks like my thread hasn't caught anyone's interest, or there isn't much role playing going on here at all.
It seems as if everyone is chatting in the Muggle World than putting some effort into posting. I'm new and I haven't been welcomed by anyone! The nicest person here is Claire, who greeted me through PM and helped me with getting a status. It looks like the prefects here don't greet fellow house members. I guess I'm just used to another place where they actually roleplay.

ooc: We're all nice people really Sorry to hear you haven't been welcomed by anyone but Claire. It's been oddish lately bic: Hayzie had only been back inside the school for a few weeks, but had rarely made public appearences. In fact, that night in the Great Hall was bound to be one of her first. Smiling to a few people she knew, the blonde haired girl looked over to the Ravenclaw table which was empty, bar one occupant. The girl there was someone she hadn't met before, as many would be since her time in the forest, and the blonde tilted her head to the side. There were plenty of Gryffindors at her table already, and the girl looked quite alone, and so Hayz decided she would take a slight detour. "Hi there," the Lycan girl smiled, coming up behind the Ravenclaw girl. "Mind if I sit with you for a bit? There's no one else I know here yet, and you looked alone."

Hearing the smooth sound of a female voice, Vanessa responded to it's owner. Her blue eyes looked deeply into the girl who held a grace she had never witnessed before. It was strange, sensing things like this for the first time, but Vanessa was very pleased for the company. Feeling alone since she left home had made her weary, and quite unpleasent to be around.
"Hello, and yes, you may. I am alone unfortunately."
A weak voice had emerged from the golden blonde girl as she rested her blue gaze to the oak floor.

"Thanks," Hayzie replied with a smile, sitting on the Ravenclaw table bench. The way the bright blue eyes of the Ravenclaw girl unnerved her a little, but showing her true feelings was something Hayz had learnt not to do in the forest, and was a trait that had continued with her as she returned to the school.
Seeing the other blonde girl looking down to the floor, the Prefect decided to spark up some conversation. "So, are you new here? I don't think I've seen you around before?" the green-eyed girl asked, fairly quietly.

Releasing a heavy sigh, Vanessa spoke. How could she tell her that she was feeling terrible. Sick with sorrow, because she was new.
"I am that. I don't like it at all though. It means having to start over, and I'm sick of starting over."
Her voice trailed off and she rested her head on her folded arms, laying delicately on the table's surface. Vanessa felt like crying, but she couldn't help remembering what her mother had told her before she left home that very morning.
Be strong, Vanessa. And dry up.

Hayzie immediately felt sorry for the Ravenclaw. She looked so upset at having to start over. The blonde knew where she was coming from, but she still couldn't help her heart from hurting for her.
"Hey, it's not all that bad," the Prefect said soothingly. Admittedly, she was used to new students feeling upset, but she hadn't had to talk to one for a while, and so her sympathy was more than usual.
"It's great here, really," Hayz continued, wrapping an arm around the girl. "Once you make some friends, all shall be fantastical," the blonde tried with a small smile. "What's your name, anyway?"

Sapphira made her way confidently down the hall but as she started to see more and more unfamiliar faces her confidence started to slip. It had been a while since she had been here and she had finally decided it was time again to come out in the open. Hoping desperately for a familiar face Sapph strode into the Great hall, her boots making a rather loud noise on the stone floor.
Stop it, you are being stupid! How old are you?! you are not a child! Just go and sit down.... Sapphira mentally berated herself but stopped in midthought, she had seen a familiar face. THayzie! She thought excitedly, quickly tidying her long black hair.
With a smile plastered on her face Sapph made her way over to where her old friend sat at the Ravenclaw table...for some reason.
"Hayzie, hello." Sapphira came to sit behind the Gryffindor prefect.

Adana strolled in, all her movements and grace disguising the fact that she was new to the castle. Her mismatched eyes explored the room and the swish of her cloak that fell to the floor hardly masked the click of her black dragon-hide boots. The arrogant smirk that settled on her face allowed her enough confidence to walk over to the group and introduce herself, allowing her exotic looks to work to her advantage.
"Hello," her voice was creamy soft, and flowed from her mouth like velvet. "My name is Adana. May I enquire as to yours?"

The heavy beat of a base drum entered the hall, followed by a scratch-break of funky music. Mina waltzed into the hall carrying a muggle-style stereo on her shoulder, her right arm wrapped up around it's body so it didn't fall.
The music blared an uncontrollably catchy beat, resulting in people from a few of the other tables standing to bust a few moves in greeting to Mina's entrance. The young girl smiled happily, letting the rythme flow through her as she started dipping her hips in time to the beat as she walked.
"Stand up everybody, stand up, c'mon!" She called playfully, flashing a priceless grin to the boys at the Slytherin table. Her uncountable items of silver jewelry sparkled insanely in the soft light of the Great Hall, silver hoops, nose stud, belly bar, butterfly rings, the adornment went on wherever one chose to look. And although she wore enough of it, she didn't look bad at all.
A few of the guys at the Slytherin stood and began cat-calling, but Mina decided she'd made enough of a scene, so she reached up and turned off the music, though she couldn't resist humming it to herself quietly. She wore a smooth half-smile and resorted to carrying the stereo like old times, by the handle, by her side.
She glanced over the tables in the Hall and noticed that most of the girl's seemed to be gathered around the Ravenclaw table, though she knew not all of them were of that house. Smirking slightly, she broke into a steady pace and walked towards them, where she stopped humming and flicked her strawberry brown hair out of her face and behind her shoulders.
Her aquamarine gaze fell on each girl individually, she'd seen Hayzie around before, perhaps even met her. But the others were all a mystery. She smiled nontheless. "Heya, I'm Mina...May I?" She pointed to an empty area on the bench under the table they were sitting on. A latin accent was clear in her voice, sharp yet ethereal, nothing less than ladylike.
